Thanks for shaking your experience. We will call his GP and see what he says. This is not my first pregnancy. First time I had a conflict as a father of my son was A+. And my son turned out to have his blood type. My fiance isn't my first child's father.

@anonymous20231 Sorry you're feeling so anxious and well done for resisting testing! I'm going to stop testing now at 5 weeks. I didn't really get symptoms last time, like @blodyn91 !it is lucky but also more stressful 😅 would you consider booking an early scan?

@blodyn91 I'm looking forward to a more normal pregnancy and birth this time too 😅xx

Crazytoddlermum · 10/07/2023 12:40

@LeopardLover he has just turned 3!

I definitely think I will get him to hand over the evidence 😂

I haven’t really had any symptoms this time round apart from feeling sick when I had a couple of drinks at a wedding at the weekend (obviously didn’t know at the time and I had zero symptoms this month which threw me off).

Im going to try and either nip out after work today or in the morning for some more tests and a clear blue digital. I think seeing the words will make it feel more real!

LeopardLover · 10/07/2023 13:17

@Crazytoddlermum Oh so cute 😍 yes, good plan re tests!

I was at Glastonbury in my TWW 😅 I've only had cramping, no other symptoms 😴 although I was the same with my son! Hoping to get a bit of nausea once I hit week 6. Just so it feels real 😅

Psmama22 · 10/07/2023 13:40

@Kez437 jumping in here as I’m Irish too! I booked semi private in NMH and I have a booking appointment at 11 weeks and consultant appointment at 13 weeks! Which is different to my first where they were doing everything at 12 weeks, so there must be some sort of shake up in maternity healthcare 🤔

JessPP · 10/07/2023 15:27

Kez437 · 10/07/2023 17:33

Hi All
Grateful for your thoughts as this is a bit of a random one. In previous pregnancies I have only ever tested on the day of my period or day after it was due and usually always got a 2-3 weeks on a ClearBlue. This time round after a previous chemical I've tested more. I tested on a First Response at 9dpo and the line was very definite, I used another First Response today at 13dpo and it was darker again which is a good sign. Over the weekend I actually done a ClearBlue weeks test not thinking it would should anything but it's already showing 2-3 weeks and my period isn't due until tomorrow! My boobs are killing me and I'm already nauseous and bloated. It all just seems A LOT so early. I checked my chart and whilst we did do the baby dance on 21st June this wasn't even in my fertile window as I didn't ovulate until the 27th. I don't really know what I'm asking but has this sort of thing happened to other people? Have I misunderstood how ovulation works?

Kez437 · 10/07/2023 17:35

@Psmama22 are you in Northern Ireland? This is good to know because I know in England they do a separate booking appointment and then a scan whereas they've always just done them together here at 12 weeks and this confused the life out of me first time.

J2023xx · 10/07/2023 17:35

So sorry @JessPP rest up and take care xx

Psmama22 · 10/07/2023 17:39

@Kez437 no I’m in Dublin

WAC1 · 10/07/2023 17:41

Can anyone help determine how many weeks I might be as I haven't had a period since I stopped breastfeeding my son at 15 months old

DTD 7th,8th,11th June
Negative test 17th June
DTD 27th June
Positive cheapie 5th July
Clear blue 2-3 weeks 6th July...

I guess that makes me about 5ish...
what do I tell the midwife if I don't have an LMP....

LeopardLover · 10/07/2023 18:21

@Kez437 Congratulations! Were you using OPKs to track ovulation? It might just be your days were out slightly 😊

Ap24 · 10/07/2023 18:31

Hello! Could I join you all? I believed I was infertile and haven't used any kind of contraception for the last 8 years. After a few tests (both me and DH) we gave up trying over 4 years ago when we decided IVF wasn't for us.

So it's been a bit of shock and I initially took the news quite badly. I think due to having different life plans now. DH has been wonderful.

The morning sickness and sore boobs were my initial reason for testing. I'm not 100% sure of the conception date, I have very irregular cycles and sometime don't have a period for over 6 months. I think for the symptoms and a small amount of spotting I will be due around the 8th of march.

I'm looking at having the NIPT scan and blood test in August. Has anyone had this done before?

LeopardLover · 10/07/2023 18:48

@Ap24 Oh wow! Congratulations - I can imagine that was quite the shock. How are you feeling about everything now?

I'm planning to get this done too around 10-11 weeks. Haven't had it before but a friend has 😊

blodyn91 · 10/07/2023 19:17

What are these blood tests you are all on about?
NHS do them, but feel like you are all getting a private one done??
@Ap24 I know its a shock, but this made me happy, I have a few friends who can't convince and happy tales and stories like this makes me optimistic for them

@WAC1 I wouldn't worry about exact weeks for midwife, just give her those details. Then at scan they will give you a due date 😄

@Kez437 any twins in the family? 🫢

Hopefulhoney6 · 10/07/2023 20:07

@blodyn91 - the NIPT (a blood test) is explained here: https://www.hscfw.co.uk/nipt.php

One brand is Harmony. It’s pretty expensive (£450h but it is a blood test for Down syndrome, Edwards and Patau. More accurate than the NHS test which is done on an algorithm I understand. I think some older people keen to do it. Includes a private scan too and you can also find out the gender if you want.
