@vix_85 you could try lemon/honey if you have a sore throat and potentially saline spray

Wotchaz · 09/07/2023 18:24

Is anyone here still breastfeeding an older baby? I’m still feeding my 13month old at bedtime and overnight and OMG it’s sore 😫

Yes I'm still feeding my 2 year old! It's so much more uncomfortable now, especially as she swaps back and forth constantly 😩

blodyn91 · 09/07/2023 20:14

Haii, Thread is a little long to catch up on 🙈
Was a big MN user when I was TTC my 1st back in 2020! He is now 2years 3 months
Got my BFP for no 2 today, due date around the 19th o March Im guessing, didn't track ovulation as we were only on month 3, so told myself I wouldn't obsess till month 5 🤣
I acctually can't remember what Im meant to do next, call the MLU isn't it? But how many weeks did you wait before calling🙈?
Its taken me 2 years to get over my 1st birth, I vowed I would only have one child. So going to really start shitting myself soon🤦🏼‍♀️

LeopardLover · 09/07/2023 22:06

@blodyn91 Welcome! We have similarly aged toddlers (born April 21) and I also had a traumatic birth. So we're in this together 😅

I'm going to wait until 6 weeks although my trust asks I register straight away!

Kez437 · 09/07/2023 22:29

Hi All. Congratulations on all your BFP! I got mine on a First Response on Thursday past and took a ClearBlue week detection one on Saturday and it's told me I'm between 2-3 weeks. Based on period dates my due date should be 17th March (this is quite funny because I'm actually Irish and live in Ireland and I can't imagine having a baby born on St Patrick's day 😂) However I think this little button was conceived earlier in the month so can't see that date working out. Baby No.3 for us, so far very sore boobs and nausea already which is mad considering I haven't actually missed my period yet! I've requested to join the FB group too 🥰

Malgos · 10/07/2023 06:39

Hello to everyone. I don't have my app scheduled yet as I'm only 5w3d but wondering. My blod type is B- and we don't know what blood type my fiance has. There is a possibility of him having a + type, which would mean we'd have serological conflict. Can he ask his GP to do the blood test now or do we wait until my midwife ask to?

ajayelbee · 10/07/2023 07:06

Hi @Malgos ! I’m a - type and my partner is +. He already knew, so I’m not sure about who’s the best person to ask about getting your fiancé typed. Has he ever donated blood or anything? If he has it will be on his donor record. If he does turn out to be + I would recommend the book “Anti-D Explained” by Dr Sara Wickham. I found it very reassuring and helpful to make decisions in my first pregnancy. And my baby came out with my - blood type in the end!

L0uise35 · 10/07/2023 08:08

@Kez437 I also live in Ireland. Congratulations! I have a quick question for u. With your other babies when did u get your booking appointment. As I just received mine and it is for when I am 14 weeks which I thought was late

Hi

This link is no longer working, any chance you can post again?

Thanks

LeopardLover · 10/07/2023 09:14

Morning all! I'm 5 weeks today and got a 3+ on a clear blue digital so I think I'm done testing now 😅

I've also decided I won't get an 8 week scan and will just wait until 10 weeks for the NIPT. She says (if I can wait that long 😅)

@Kez437 Congratulations! My Irish Nan's birthday is on St Patrick's Day! A great day 😉

SJ456 · 10/07/2023 09:21

I’m 4+5 today and overnight had some cramps that managed to wake me up. Only lasted a few minutes and then got back to sleep. Had a few more twinges since being up this morning (up since 5 due to work)

Should I be concerned and be ringing anyone? Not had any bleeding (yet!) so having a bit of a panic

Crazytoddlermum · 10/07/2023 09:44

Hi everyone, hope you don’t mind me joining in.

Just got a very clear bfp this morning on a cheapie test. Based on the dates I think I may be due on 19th March so that makes me 4 weeks just now.

This will be my second and I am so excited but also apprehensive after a chemical last month, although last month I only had positives on frer and the every other test showed negative so fingers crossed.

Haven’t told dh yet as he was getting ready for work this morning and was heading to a stressful meeting so trying to decide the best way to tell him when he is home 😅

Kez437 · 10/07/2023 09:47

Hi @L0uise35 I am in Northern Ireland, not sure where you are but that being said 14 weeks does seem frustratingly late l, equally still within their 12 week window. If you call they're likely to just say that it's a window and 14 weeks is fine but it's just annoying for you because I am sure you would love to see little one before then. Is this your first baby? Would you consider a private scan in between?

Always09 · 10/07/2023 09:55

LeopardLover · 10/07/2023 10:15

@SJ456 As long as they aren't really painful it should be fine! I've had lots of cramping and did with my son too 😊

LeopardLover · 10/07/2023 10:16

@Crazytoddlermum Congratulations! How old is your first? 😊 I tasked my 2 year old with handing the "treasure" (pregnancy test) to daddy! 😂 Although it took him long enough to work out (my DH, not the toddler 😅).

SJ456 · 10/07/2023 10:20

@LeopardLover thanks - they recovered very quickly with a bit of movement so after a frantic google thinking it is more likely trapped wind etc

my partner has been away this weekend so I had no one to calm me down!

my first pregnancy and didn’t realise how nervous I would be

LeopardLover · 10/07/2023 10:35

@SJ456 I think I've had lots of cramps impacted by wind too - I had bubbly cramps this time too 😂 I totally understand, the first trimester is pretty nerve racking! Even when you've done it before xx

anonymous20231 · 10/07/2023 10:36

Hi everyone sorry to but in mid conversation. Does anyone else have constant anxiety if symptoms go away or feel the need to test every other day?😂.
Im 6weeks 1 day and did my last test two weeks ago, the constant worry until the first appointment is so draining!

Kirstylvsya · 10/07/2023 10:43

@Kez437 I'm Northern Ireland 2 🙋🏼‍♀️

blodyn91 · 10/07/2023 10:57

@LeopardLover yes April 13th my little lad was born, went into labour day lockdown eased! Really excited to have a non lockdown pregnancy 🤞🤞 And hopefully a better birth 😅🫣

I'm also a negative blood type and had Anti D injections with my 1st, sorry can't remember who was asking. I was acctually in a small car crash when I was pregnant, and got worried sick as I hadn't had the anti D at that point, but turns out he was the same blood type as me anyway

Ive only take one old boots pregnancy test so far. Husband ordered more off amazon, so think ill wait til next week before booking myself in. Im quite optimistic as my cycle is like clockwork.

As for telling your partner I did similar to Leopard, toddler handed him the stick, and husband didn't believe it- still doesn't, hence ordered more tests online 🙈🙈

blodyn91 · 10/07/2023 10:59

Also forgot to comment re symptoms, the inly real symptoms I had with my 1st was round ligaments pain (cramping). No sickness, no tender boobs, no nothing- quite boring but lucky. So please don't be worried about lack of symptoms 😘 (i know its easy to say)
