@WAC1 Welcome!

Prudence00 · 07/07/2023 07:34

@eightieskid I’m so sorry you feel so sick. I’m surprised I don’t have nausea as usually even talking about something even slightly disgusting makes me gag. I take ginger every morning anyway so maybe that’s helping 🤷🏻‍♀️. Have you found anything which helps?

I normally work at home so thankfully the travel was a one off. However, things are extremely busy at work and only going to get busier so I’m trying my best to manage it. I’m thinking to leave my one coffee a day until 4pm to keep me going.

A few people have mentioned the harmony test; when is everyone thinking of having it? I have a private scan booked at around 8.5 weeks so was thinking of waiting for that to confirm how far along I am before booking anything.

I'm considering it! Just because I'm 37 and I'd want all the facts, especially since I have a toddler now so the health of the next baby will impact him.

I can't decide if I should get an 8 week scan and a harmony 🤔

Hi

Tentatively joining as 4+2 today after IUI - very nervous as not having many symptoms. Is this usual?

thanks and wishing everyone a good pregnancy!

8251peacock · 07/07/2023 09:58

Still here, 6+2 today and I think for the first time I actually might have a symptom! Lol. Feel really quite sick, though I haven’t been sick. Just cracked open the disgusting ginger sweets. Still taking absolutely nothing for granted after MMC last year at what I think would have been 6w6d, it was a couple of weeks later that a scan picked it up.
Hugs to all going through these anxious weeks, would love to fast forward just a bit!

STH1988 · 07/07/2023 10:15

I am undecided on harmony as well! I am 35 and 5 weeks today. I found somewhere that does a combined harmony & scan at 10 weeks, but part of me wants an early reassurance scan at 7/8ish weeks, then the harmony at 10 or just wait and have both at 10 weeks.

I can't decide what to do, time just seems to have stopped at the moment 🙄

STH1988 · 07/07/2023 10:16

*35 years old, not 35 weeks pregnant I should add 😆

Hopefulhoney6 · 07/07/2023 10:59

Last time I had a private scan for about £100 at 7 weeks and it was the best thing I did as I found out about my MMC. This time as I’ve been under the care of a consultant for treatment of uterine scars, he wants to see me at 7 weeks so I will have a scan.

Going to do the Harmony - no one I know has regretted it (it also includes a scan I believe) and it would impact our decision on the pregnancy so we would like to know. You can find out the sex, but we won’t. I’m 35 too.

Hopefulhoney6 · 07/07/2023 11:01

Definitely feel a bit nauseous today - like I had a couple too many glasses of wine but not awful. Don’t know if I’m just symptom spotting and it’s the heat. And I’m hungrier!!

J2023xx · 07/07/2023 11:05

Hi all, tentatively joining, I’m 14 DPO so super early but I always find these threads so helpful and supportive. I’ve had two miscarriages in a row, the last was a MMC so I’m really nervous but I am hoping so much for our 🌈 Congratulations everyone 💕

Hey all! How long did it take for a midwife to get in contact with you? I filled in the form with my GP about a week ago but I’ve still not heard anything 😬

I submitted my referral on 18th June, and heard back from them on 29th. I have my booking appointment next week, and dating scan booked for 10th August! 🙂

Welcome and congrats 💕

Hopefulhoney6 · 07/07/2023 14:52

@wonderland28 i filled in the form on the hospital website 14 days ago and it says on the website 14 WORKING days lol. So still haven’t heard back.

I’ve moved house since my last pregnancy and with that one, I filled in a form on the hospital website and had a text with my booking appointment a few days later so I think it really depends.

apparently they also prioritise based on due date.

ChelseaaBun · 07/07/2023 16:10

Hi all, just joining as we just got a BFP today and apparently due mid March. Are there any other 3rd time moms here with small age gaps because I'm terrified now that it's possibly a reality 😂 we have an August 2020 baby, May 2022 baby and if this is a sticky baby we will be 3 kids 3 and under 🥲 very excited though, we were trying and wanted to have them all close together 🤞 sending everyone sticky baby dust!! xx

AmysPrecious5 · 07/07/2023 16:31

Hi, do you think I could aslo have the link to fb page please?

GoingToInfinity · 07/07/2023 16:40

Tomorrow is going to be a milestone for me as I'll hit 5 weeks. That's how far I was last cycle when I had the CP. I'm hoping my anxiety will calm down once I can get through the day. I have one digital test left and I was thinking about using it tomorrow, but I'm worried if it doesn't read 3+ that it will make me worry even more.

I'm jealous of all the dye stealers everyone else seems to be getting. I've made progress towards equal lines on the cheapy tests though.

My symptoms have calmed right down today. The nausea has disappeared, as has the tiredness and the sore boobs, but likewise the cramping has gone too which is a good thing.

Anyone else having a panic at the moment about everything?

Prudence00 · 07/07/2023 16:45

@Hopefulhoney6 - I am 33 and want the harmony test done. If all is ok at our private scan, we also intend to find out the gender through an early dna test. I really want to know!

Kirstylvsya · 07/07/2023 16:55

I'm not even contacting my midwife until I get my scan at 8 weeks I still don't believe this is real

Lizzy26 · 07/07/2023 17:00

@GoingToInfinity I’m 5+3 and my symptoms have calmed down a lot today, hard not to overthink and worry too much but I’m just trying to go with it and enjoy not feeling like rubbish!

wonderland28 · 07/07/2023 19:26

@GoingToInfinity @Lizzy26 everything has calmed right down for me too, but somehow that’s more stressful!

@Hopefulhoney6 14 working days is a killer but also it’s good that they’re prioritising I guess!

@helloooitsmeee thats exciting! I think I’m being impatient but it’s hard because I have no one to talk to about it here but hopefully if it sticks it’ll be my first so I’m Googling every little thing! 😂

vix_85 · 07/07/2023 19:36

@GoingToInfinity I am here with you with envy of the dye stealers and 5 weeks tomorrow. Totally thinking the worst atm and begging myself not to. Thinking of you x

ShitImPregnant · 07/07/2023 20:44

Is there any single, comprehensive source on what my options are now? I'm first time, 4+2 and don't know anything about what sorts of scans I might like on top of the NHS, or what sorts of additional testing I might like to consider.

Surely someone has put this together somewhere online?

SJ456 · 07/07/2023 22:57

This is me too! 4+2 and feel like I don’t know where to start

If you find any helpful tips please share :)

GoingToInfinity · 08/07/2023 06:24

I did the digital test this morning and luckily it's provided reassurance. I think I'm exactly 5 weeks today if I've got my dates right, so perfect result. Still anxious but slightly calmer than before.
