@JessPP yes to the fatigue. I just fell asleep twice waiting in the car for my husband who was in the shop

GoingToInfinity · 01/07/2023 20:47

My main symptoms are fatigue (I've napped 4 times this week!) and sore boobs. I've also got a slightly sore lower back, but it could well be that I've just slept funny.
Only three weeks to the summer holiday and I'm looking forward to sleeping to my hearts content!

Roll on the summer holiday for you! Isn’t it strange having to nap when you usually don’t. X

Fatigue here also. Todays the first day I Haven't napped 🤣 sore boobs but nausea has eased slightly. Bloated a bit and sore lower back X

Can I tentatively join please? Had a super squinter on a boots early this morning and this on a IC tonight. This will be my second, my DD is 19 months. EDD atm is 11th march but will be early march as I'll be having a planned c section as I had an emg with my first x

I've just name changed my posts below 🙈

Kay00 · 01/07/2023 23:22

Hi ladies! Can I join too?

I have had my first BFP after 3.5 years trying, two rounds of IVF and an operation (ovarian drilling).

I think I'm 5wks tomorrow and due March 3rd.

Main symptoms so far are a super sore/stiff back, tiredness and possibly a stronger sense of smell.

I had a small bleed today, so I'm not getting too excited about this pregnancy, just in case.

Pic from Thursday when I got my BFP.

Is anyone due March 2024!?
summertimes2021 · 02/07/2023 04:33

@Kay00 I had a small bleed on Tuesday can you phone your EPU? they were able to book me in for a scan at 7 weeks. I was also advised to retake a pregnancy test in a week.

I have not done that 😂😅

Today I did actually get up and not take a pregnancy test so that's a big step. The fatigue is killing me I have napped 5 times this week which is unlike me. DD2 is 14 months so I've been sleeping when she has.

Other than fatigue I have some waves of nausea but nothing else

wonderland28 · 02/07/2023 05:46

Hiya!

I just found out last week, think I’m 3 weeks atm and due on 14/03 according to the date planner but this would be my first so I’m absolutely terrified! Definitely very nauseous and exhausted 😴

Kay00 · 02/07/2023 07:41

@wonderland28 congratulations! This is my first too

@summertimes2021 I'm such a novice at this 😅 do you think epu will be interested in my little bleed? It has stopped now. I was thinking of booking a scan privately at about 6+4 as it is the day between mine and my OHs birthdays (we are lucky to have birthdays in the same week), but I also don't want to be bummed out on our birthdays if it's bad news.

I tested again today at 21dpo and had a dye stealer, so visibly stronger than on 18dpo. Hopefully that's a good sign?

summertimes2021 · 02/07/2023 07:50

I didn't think they were going to be interested in me but they were very kind and compassionate.

The first nurse I spoke to was a bit dismissive but once triage phoned back they cared.

I'm praying everything is ok

Kay00 · 02/07/2023 07:56

@summertimes2021 I have everything crossed for you xx do you mind me asking what your bleed was/is like? Also, how far along are you?

Kay00 · 02/07/2023 07:59

Also... Has anyone else told their GP they are pregnant? When should we do that?

summertimes2021 · 02/07/2023 08:02

I was 4 weeks 1 day when it happened. It was brown blood but a lot of it, then pink ish spotting the next day.

So far nothing else I was just advised test again in a week and you have a scan booked for 7 weeks. I'm 5 weeks tomorrow.

Last time I phoned my midwife at 5.5 weeks to get the booking in appointment scheduled.

Kay00 · 02/07/2023 08:10

@summertimes2021 thank you for sharing. I also had a small bleed at 4weeks, it was just a flash of bright red blood. At the time I assumed AF was on her way as it was my last day of taking northisterone. Looking back I am assuming/hoping it was an implantation bleed.

And I bleed again, very similar bright red, at 4+6 (yesterday). I have had a look and my local EPU say to contact them if I have bleeding/pain from 6 weeks + so I might wait and see if it happens again. Fingers crossed it doesn't!

Kay00 · 02/07/2023 07:59

Also... Has anyone else told their GP they are pregnant? When should we do that?

From what I remember with my first you don't need to tell the Gp, when I phoned the receptionist just gave me details of my local midwifes. Then I phoned but you can book online.

Last time I had the most amazing midwife so I'm going ti text her tomorrow and find out if she's still in the same place and see if I can get in with her

Steamedhams · 02/07/2023 08:26

@Kay00 Last time I called the maternity hub directly. GPs often want you to self refer now as it saves them the hassle. You can decide which service you would like as well sometimes if there's more than one in the area.

Ours wants us to wait until 6 weeks. Last time I called at 8/9 weeks. Now it's about passing the time.

If you've had a bleed you can call the EPU and they may scan you to ease your worries. I had a little bleed about the same time but it was just a bit and went away so wasn't worried.

GoingToInfinity · 02/07/2023 08:29

@Kay00 my GP knows but that's only because I needed to be prescribed a higher dose of folic acid. When I asked him how I self-refer to the midwives he was actually clueless and his advice was to go on to google!
The GPs around here don't get involved with the pregnancy care at all, but when you have the booking appointment with the midwife they will be notified/your medical notes updated so they will know you're pregnant.

PR96 · 02/07/2023 08:40

Guys be proud! I DIDN'T poas this morning!! Doesn't mean to say I won't later but I managed to hold of this morning 😂

According to the gp I registered with on Wednesday my registration should be finished this Wednesday so going to call them Thursday and see if I self refer or if they do it, I'd be 5 weeks then.

These first 12 weeks are going to go so slow! Although my first being a lockdown baby meant I literally had nothing to do so hopefully having him and work ill be distracted enough to not be worrying/thinking about it all day every day!

GoingToInfinity · 02/07/2023 08:42

@PR96 snap, I didn't POAS this morning either! First time since Tuesday. I'm proud of us both 🎉

Kay00 · 02/07/2023 08:44

Haha, thanks ladies. I'll look to self refer in a week or so then 😁

@PR96 well done! I have done the opposite... For fun I pee'd on 4 sticks this morning 😂

I saw the progression on the FRER and the internet cheapie, so I'm pleased with that. I also tried a LH strip for fun too 😆 it's true... You can use them as a pregnancy test 😆

GoingToInfinity · 02/07/2023 08:46

@Kay00 four in one go? That's my usual level of slightly unhinged 😂 glad you've seen some progress though, must be a nice bit of reassurance.

PR96 · 02/07/2023 08:49

@GoingToInfinity yep! Tuesday for me too! Proud of us! It's totally just because I got good lines yesterday!

@Kay00 hahaha! That's normally me!! I have also used opks to see pregnancy before! Just nice seeing that second line isn't it!?

summertimes2021 · 02/07/2023 09:02

Glad I'm not the only one who is obsessed with peeing on sticks 😂
