The dreaded 7 weeks

So today I am 7 weeks pregnant which is a tough week for me as I lost my first at 7+5. Last time, my weeks were also reached on a Tuesday as well! My birthday is also on day 7+4! Don't know what the point in this post was I suppose I'm just looking for support to get me to 8 weeks which is my booking in appointment. Terrified history is gonna repeat itself even though I do keep telling myself women do have babies, it is possible!

How is everyone getting on? My scan is two weeks today and I am determined to make it till then rather than book an earlier one. But I still (at 6weeks) have barely any symptoms at all maybe a bit of back ache and slightly sore boobs but then maybe in my imagination.
My anxiety is running wild right now!

Strawberry06 · 22/06/2023 10:59

@Foreverhoping33 I thought my sore boobs had disappeared yesterday morning but I knew they hadn't when I took my bra off in the evening lol. I have lower back pain which seems to have been a constant for me. I might feel nauseous but could be imaging it its so weird!

I was still looking at private scan availability all day yesterday but I've decided absolutely not and I will just be patient and wait! It won't change anything. Hoping July flies by tbh...

@Strawberry06 @Foreverhoping33 just do what's right for you. Everyone feels so differently xx

Well I'm 8 weeks today 😌Feeling really good about that. And I had my booking in appointment with the midwife this morning. And I told one of my closest friends yesterday (originally had decided not to tell anyone). It's all starting to feel real now.

aww congrats @Strawberry06! Glad you are feeling positive and have shared your good news with a friend. I've found it's so nice to have that support in the early days when things are more uncertain

Hankthehonk · 27/06/2023 19:55

@Strawberry06 great update, so glad you're feeling good and you've passed your scary milestone. I agree about the importance of sharing with a small number of people in the early stages, I've already told my mum, sister and one friend.
I'm only 5w2d so a while to go before I pass my 8w4d milestone (when I had my mc). But for now I'm trying to take comfort that I'm hopefully out of the woods for a chemical.

Hi everyone, hope it’s okay to join. I’m 7+3 and have booked my scan for next week when I’m 8+2. I was actually meant to go today but I got too scared and pushed it back. This time is also triggering for me as I recently had a MMC in November. Baby stopped growing at 7+3 and I found out a week later that baby stopped growing.

Like many others, I’m just plagued with nerves and the anxiety is real. It’s so hard to picture good news and everything going well after everything that’s happened. Where I live they push for an early scan but to be honest I would prefer to wait it out the 12 weeks.

Food for thought, a friend of mine also had two MC’s and her mother told her that in her day there was no thing as an early scan and if a MC happened in the early stages, chances are you wouldn’t know as you would maybe assume that it’s a very heavy period? And it’s not something spoken about either.

xx

Rainbowpeanut02, many congratulations on your pregnancy. I have seen you somewhere on here before. Did you fall straight after your MMC? Really pleased for you.

Hope all goes well for everyone xx

@Longbarn5 Hi! How are you? Yes I basically got my BFP straight after my MMC, it’s kinda nerve wrecking tbh, feel as though my symptoms are very different compared to before.

Hi, I am not too bad at all. Just started trying again so hoping for a BFP some time in the next few months. I would be very happy if I could be past my first trimester at what would have been due date for previous pregnancy but will have to wait and see,
So thrilled for you. I get the nervous thing. I am going to be exactly the same when my time comes again. I am hoping to be less symptomatic next time tbh. I had everything you could ever think of , even when tge embryo had been lost for six weeks. Absolutely the best of luck for this pregnancy for you xx
