It's very early days but I suspect there are some new BFP's meaning we'd be due in February. I'm 4 weeks today so super early. Anyone with me? Has anyone got any early pregnancy symptoms?

Am I the only person on this thread experiencing 24/7 nausea and off of all food and drink! Never felt so bloody miserable and not sure how I’ll be through. Meds doing nothing 😢😢😢😢😢

Nothing here yet except aches and tiredness.

Sorry you are feeling crappy :(

mumtotwox · 17/06/2023 22:15

Can I join? I've got two boys (3 and 1) and found out on Friday that I'm pregnant, unexpectedly. I'm a whole bundle of emotions and haven't properly had a chat with my fiancé about everything.

I told him this afternoon after our sons 3rd birthday party and then we had friends pop round. We're both shattered and will more than likely talk tomorrow. I just feel so nervous.

Congratulations to you all ❤️

After a trip to the EPU last week where it was too early to see anything, my impatience got the better of me and I booked a private scan for today. Saw a beautiful little heartbeat and little bean is measuring perfectly at 6+3 which is exactly where I thought I was. I can relax now and I'm actually looking forward to my next EPU visit to see them again 🤞

Amazing!!!! So pleased for you! 🙏

@Jaystarlight you're a bit further ahead than a lot of us. If the meds don't work, go back to your Dr. There are more they can give you up the ladder. For me for example I know cyclazine is rubbish, but it's the first anti nausea drug on the ladder (and cheaper apparently).

@Hrps yay to the private scan! Oh no how come you have to go to EPU?

@Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly so sorry to hear so many losses, I can't even imagine.

@Nelbert19 so good you have symptoms with this one, four losses is horrible

GoneAway227 · 18/06/2023 06:29

@mumtotwox congratulations!

PeeBeee · 18/06/2023 06:55

13dpo today and did my first digital and kind of expected a 2-3 weeks so now I am stressing, even though I know I am only just about 4 weeks. Also 11dpo looks darker than 13dpo… I know 11dpo has dried as it’s from 2 days ago but now I am terrified :(

I scared myself with those digital tests in the week. My LMP was 19/05 (although I'm peri meno so not sure when I ovulated).

I got a positive with 2-3 weeks on Wednesday last week, then a 1-2 weeks on Friday. Panicked, did another one and it came up 2-3.

I'm worrying as I always do, but think those tests are unreliable x

PeeBeee · 18/06/2023 07:16

@GeriatricMumma thanks for your reply!

I was putting myself as 4 weeks yesterday, which would assume I ovulated Saturday 3rd June where I got my first peak and had ovary pain but then I got an even higher reading on Sunday so premom changed that to my peak and predicted ovulation on Monday 5th June, which makes sense that I am only 13dpo today!🤦🏽‍♀️So I may be 3+6 and not actually 4+1.

I am my own worst enemy!

So my pregnancy has been a happy accident - I was on holiday and we were DTD, but I must have ovulated between day 8-10 from trying to work it out. So whilst by LMP I'm 4+2, I'm actually not sure. Trying not to overanalyse it as I know it won't change what my body decides to do.

I'm slightly concerned that I have no symptoms other than a lot of stretching aches and tiredness.

Mangotango39 · 18/06/2023 07:22

Some spotting today again and a funny feeling in my tummy 😭hoping all ok! Can't take this stress!!

PeeBeee · 18/06/2023 07:27

@GeriatricMumma I literally had no symptoms till I was 6+ weeks with my dd! All I am getting for far is bouts of tiredness and awful bloating!

@Mangotango39 it’s such a stressful time, isn’t it?😭

I have awful bloating!

I had hyperemisis with my last pregnancy. I keep thinking I feel nausea but the moment I don't think about, I don't feel nausea, so defo in my head! Last week I had that constant hungry feeling, nothing this week.

Always such a worry at this stage.

Hankthehonk · 18/06/2023 07:47

@PeeBeee I am totally with you about obsessing over tests. But I genuinely think 1-2 weeks on digital is fine/expected at 13dpo. We're almost cycle buddies I had my peak on 3rd June and pretty certain I ovulated on 4th so counting myself as 14dpo today which I should probably start thinking of as 4w pregnant.
Did you take pics within the window at 9 and 11 dpo? If so it might be better to compare 13dpo test to those pics than to the dried tests. I'm making collages so I can see line progression 🫠

@Mangotango39 sorry you're feeling scared, I would be too, but there's a good chance everything is fine. I think lots of people experience spotting and go on to have healthy pregnancies.

@mumtotwox congratulations! Hope you're able to get the time to talk to your partner and process the news.

Kiwiburgh · 18/06/2023 07:50

@PeeBeee I'm in the same boat as you! I'm 5 weeks today, 20dpo and was expecting a 3+ but still getting 2-3 😔
Those tests are torture.

PeeBeee · 18/06/2023 07:50

@Hankthehonk good idea! Lol I only saved a pic of it within 3 mins into premom so i screenshooted that to compare and I feel a bit better now! Thank you!

mumtotwox · 18/06/2023 07:52

Thank you so much @GoneAway227 @Hankthehonk 🥰

I'm lying awake and can already see this little one fitting into our family and making us complete. Our due date is around the 20th of February going by my LMP, however, conception date would make us the 16th.

Hope everyone is feeling ok xx

PeeBeee · 18/06/2023 07:56

@Kiwiburgh ugh so annoying! The thing is, it could literally be a day out and they are so expensive so I am not daring to do another one to at least mid week - infact I probably shouldnt buy another at all and just be happy with the line progression on the cheapies! I say that, but even I don’t believe myself!

GoneAway227 · 18/06/2023 07:57

GeriatricMumma · 16/06/2023 17:26

Hi!

I found out this week.

Last period was 19th May but I am (thought?) I was close to menopause, I'm 42.

This is a happy suprise; I have 3 children.

Complex as I've had eclampsia; and pre eclampsia twice. 3 x C-sections.
Due 22-2 maybe?!

Just read this @GeriatricMumma - we're very similar.
I'm 42 and LMP was sane as yours.
I also had severe pre-eclampsia in my last pregnancy. GD too ☹️
Did you have the dreaded magnesium sulphate drip?

Hankthehonk · 18/06/2023 07:57

@PeeBeee That progression is looking just right when you look at the original pic! Glad you're feeling a bit better about it. The dried tests can totally change,I'm noticing it with mine.

@mumtotwox aw that's lovely you're feeling so positive about it this morning!

@Kiwiburgh you're right those weeks tests are such a stress I remember being scared by them last time. I was going to buy a couple to test over the coming fortnight but might save myself the money and stress. There's part of me feels like I won't have "completed" testing if I don't get a 3+ and a dye stealer....yes I know, crazy lady

GeriatricMumma · 18/06/2023 08:06

@GoneAway227
With my first DS, I had seizures during labour and spent a week in ITU, the mag sulphate was given then and I was only allowed to drink a capful of water per hour. It was horrific!
With DD and DS2 the pre-eclampsia was managed until slightly before due date with a concoction of labetalol, methyldopa and aspirin was well as 3 x weekly MAC visits.
I intend to go in to this as healthy as possible given my age and 3 x prior c-sections. I'm currently on bisoprolol (my BP is still high outside of pregnancy due to the original eclampsia issue) so I'll need to get that swapped over.

Hopefully we both don't have to ride that awful experience again and have healthy pregnancies x

GoneAway227 · 18/06/2023 08:12

@GeriatricMumma I'd forgotten about restricted water - that's brought back depressing memories. All I wanted was a cup of tea and I wasn't allowed one for about 2 days.
I had a stroke about a year later and while they've never been able to determine the cause, I've always blamed PET.

Fingers crossed for both of us this time around.

This is my ultimate worry, having a stroke. I've been on the bisoprolol for 20 years now, im only on a baby dose (1.25mg) as I keep it well managed and get more excercise but the age element does frighten me! My youngest son is 8.

Fingers crossed for us and let's show pre-eclampsia is oldies aren't playing in this time!

Nelbert19 · 18/06/2023 09:43

@PeeBeee I’m an obsessive POASer so I totally get your anxiety! The truth is that line progression is totally unreliable because it’s effected by so many other factors, from time of day to your hydration levels. Try not to stress about it (I say this absolutely knowing I’ll be buying another test myself tomorrow 🤦🏻‍♀️ - first trimester is crazy making!)

@GeriatricMumma and @GoneAway227 wow your previous pregnancies sound so stressful, I’m sorry you were so unwell. Hope everything runs smoothly this time

i woke overnight and was violently sick for 2 hours. I had hyperemesis in my first pregnancy and was panicking that it was starting already at week 4, but actually I’m pretty sure it’s just a tummy bug from my 2 year old 😖

trying not to freak out, but immediately panicking that it’s going to affect the pregnancy 😖🙃

the first trimester is SO stressful!!!

SnowyNoey · 18/06/2023 11:43

Hi everyone else that’s joined 👋

I had a lot of catching up to do then. Finally feeling normal, was very sick, tired this past week!

love the due date list. I’m 7+1 today going by dates of my last period. First midwife appointment is 27th then il have a scan date booked in I guess. It feels weird because in the past due to possible high risk I had scans at 6 weeks so this baby feels a little invisible and not completely real yet 😬 Im flying Amsterdam in ten days too and i am not prepared 😅 anyway here’s my name added to the list (based on prediction) I’m curious if the scan will give me the same date!

Congratulations all! I think I'm 4w4d today. I wouldn't describe it as cramps, but I have a warm feeling or some twinges every few hours that are down really low. I have no idea how to process this pregnancy after having a loss last year. I am terrified and so stressed. We actually started ttc after the mc a year ago in June, so it's been a long time coming.
