Does anyone have any recommendations for places that sell maternity clothes that don't cost a fortune? Struggling financially a bit at the moment but need new clothes as nothing fits anymore. Thanks

I got a few decent thing from h&m, just trousers and some bigger tops. ASOS also have loads of maternity wear and not too expensive, bought a couple of dresses there.

Other than that, got a couple of things on vinted ( jeans and dungarees) there is so much on there so you're bound to find a few things at low cost.

Thank you I will have a look.

Next clearance was good for me in the past.

I've got some reasonably priced things from Dorothy Perkins, and quite a few bits for less than £5 on Vinted and Depop. I guess people only wear them for a few months before selling them on, so there's lots to choose from. Look out for bundles or check whether sellers have more things available in your size, so as to save on postage.

Oh and M&S for maternity bras and maternity tights!

New look I found great

Dorothy Perkins wAs crap

Bunny2021 · 19/05/2023 17:03

H&M are great. Alternatively I’ve bought a couple of normal dresses in a bigger size for summer.

Vinted is pretty good for second hand.

JD90 · 19/05/2023 18:33

Vinted all the way

SillyOldBear3 · 19/05/2023 19:05

I've been buying a few bits off Vinted. Lots of things unworn with labels and for a third of the price 🙂

The leggings from George at Asda are really good, and some of their dresses are nice too.

jollydollyirl · 19/05/2023 20:42

Vinted is brilliant.

Like pp, I'd also recommend vinted! Found some lovely maternity wear on there and got some bargains, definitely check out the bundles of maternity clothes as they're often even more cost effective. I've had some decent brands like seraphine on there for less than £10 and have resold something already that was part of a bundle but didn't fit as it was seraphine branded.

Miscellaneousme · 19/05/2023 22:19

Vinted!

New Look online are good.

MuddaUdders · 19/05/2023 23:18

I bought most of mine from Asda George :D
Knickers, vests, nursing bras, nursing vests, sweatshirts, joggers, T-shirts
They wash well and the fit was pretty much true to size. For maternity jeans, I bought those from River Island as they do petite leg as well as regular or long. I bought 2 Seraphine skin to skin wrap tops from eBay (£20 each, bargain), a 4in1 coat from Seraphine using a promotional code. I hate paying full price for stuff!

MuddaUdders · 19/05/2023 23:20

Bought some dresses and a jumpsuit from Next too. By the way, I found that Asda and Next had extremely hassle free returns processes too

LaVitesse2022 · 20/05/2023 18:28

Another vote for Vinted. I found no brands really have a decent range of choice so Vinted is great as it aggregates loads from various brands. Also brilliant for newborn bundles - I got maternity shorts and a huge bundle of newborn hats, sleepsuits and baby grows for £10

Dresses, jeans, tops, lounge wear ....all from vinted, bundles of various brands, you are spoiled for choices. The only thing I got brand new were leggings from Shein (highly recommended)sport type, not cotton as I hate those lol. Then clothes for baby, accessories all from vinted in immaculate condition. For bigger items shpock, marketplace or gumtree.
