Hello 😁

Is there a thread for babies due February 2024 yet? I've just got my positive, although super early so not getting too excited.

Due 1 Feb / 31 Jan. I had irregular periods so hard to pinpoint exactly.

Hope to have others join me soon :) x

Amazing @MrsF111 congratulations!

@jamontoast2 oh god that must have been torture. Hopefully we’ll get into the swing of it soon, I’ve been googling caffeine content of Starbucks coffees today as my work always does a round on Fridays and they’ll instantly know if I ask for decaf!

welcome @HashB &@GoingToInfinity

i won’t join the Facebook group as I don’t use Facebook I’m afraid but would love to still chat here :)

LalalaBubs · 01/06/2023 19:54

My period was due to start today and I've had my first ever dye stealer! I didnt even have these when testeting with my last 2 pregnancies!

Had to share my excitement somewhere because I think DH thinks I've gone a bit mad with how many reassurance tests I keep taking🤣

Praying this is a good sign of things to come!

Due February 2024!
Zzzara · 01/06/2023 20:26

Hi mums!
congratulations all!!!

I’m new to mumnet, my due date should be 27th Jan. And I feel very anxious to do the scan to be sure all is good, but just received an appointment for a scan only for 13-14weeks. That seems normal as I read on nhs but I read here you guys are doing much earlier scans. Do you do those privately? Thanks

jamontoast2 · 01/06/2023 20:33

@Zzzara Yes early scans are only private, unfortunately. They're normally about £200 (at least in our area) but can be reassuring if you get to see a little heartbeat at 6-7 weeks.

FTMCHD · 01/06/2023 20:42

Hi everyone👋, I got my BFP this week. Based on ovulation dates, I am due 8th Feb 2024! I suffered a chemical pregnancy last month so I’m hoping everything goes well this time 🙏

Due February 2024!

@jamontoast2 that's so expensive! Mines £65 for an early scan x

jamontoast2 · 01/06/2023 21:37

@Harriet669 whatttt! I clearly need to shop around more! That’s so much cheaper!

CatLadyH · 01/06/2023 21:57

@Harriet669 @jamontoast2 the private one I’ve got booked is £65 too prices varied for me locally between £45-£75 but we booked a place where it was a registered nurse and ultrasound specialist that does the scan.

LalalaBubs · 01/06/2023 21:57

£60 for mine too!

TMumof2 · 01/06/2023 23:31

Tentatively joining, was due to get my coil fitted today and took a test before the appt and it was positive 🤯 I've had some spotting so being reminded it's very early days x

Hrps · 02/06/2023 06:33

Hey everyone! Can I join in? I had a few positive cheapies then last night got a 2-3 weeks on a clear blue digital. There is something just so much more real about that word "Pregnant". I think my due date is 8/2/24 the same as few of you guys! 🤞 Everything keeps going ok

Janeykat · 02/06/2023 06:43

Welcome @Hrps! My due date is the day after you, the 9th Feb :)

What are everyones symptoms so far? I feel a bit like I should have more, I was quite nauseous with my son at the start and have none of that. I seem to have lost my appetite (which is v unlike me!), bigger, painful boobs and quite constipated (tmi..). But other than that I dont feel pregnant at all and its freaking me out a little!

Rachae · 02/06/2023 06:50

Hey @Zzzara I've got weekly scans (next one on Tues!) on the NHS, but it's due to medical history. Hopefully all goes well for you and you don't ever need to call the early pregnancy unit. But it's there if you experience any bleeding. (Which to reassure everyone, it doesn't always mean the worst! About 30% of my last mum group had early bleeding and gorgeous babies now)

@Janeykat no symptoms here and nearly 6 weeks. I never had any with my son so I'm really hoping it stays that way! Xx

GoingToInfinity · 02/06/2023 06:55

@Janeykat I've been bloomin exhausted all week. I'm a teacher so on half term and I've take a nap every afternoon so far! That was my main memory of the first trimester with my first which gave me the idea to test.

Aside from that, my boobs are a little tender and I've had pretty consistent cramping for the last three days. Keep feeling like my period is about to start, but then nothing happens.

Harriet669 · 02/06/2023 07:02

@Rachae @Janeykat no symptoms here apart from boobs look slightly perky but they don't hurt, I had symptoms for about a week and now nothing, apparently no symptoms at this point is fairly normal 🥰

@LalalaBubs @CatLadyH @jamontoast2 they were about £60-90 near me too - definitely shop around more @jamontoast2 and save some pennies!

Harriet669 · 02/06/2023 07:02

Welcome to all those who have joined 👋🏼🤍

TMumof2 · 02/06/2023 07:50

No real symptoms here apart from tiredness which annoyingly is caused by insomnia. My partner said he knew a week ago that I was pregnant because I was asking for extra snacks and crashing out on the sofa in the middle of the day 🙈 with my first two pregnancies tiredness is pretty much the only symptom I had throughout. I have had very light brown when wiping and period type pains which I didn't have with my first two but did have with my MC before those so that's playing on my mind but only time will tell.

What dates are everyone's early scans?

Also I was reading before there are a few people joining the 2under2 club which I was a member of and I honestly found 1-2 children so much easier than 0-1 x

Hrps · 02/06/2023 07:52

The queasys have started for me, it's making me a little scared they've started far earlier this time than with my DS. With him it was hellish till 16 weeks, but this time I have no idea how I'll deal with that and run around after a toddler! However in contrast my boobs aren't feeling it at all and last time they were absolute rocks by now.

KittyKat1989 · 02/06/2023 08:07

Welcome to everybody! Make sure you join the FB group as well if you like 😊

I wish I had taken more notice of my symptoms with my first pregnancy as I have basically none now and it is starting to worry me. The only thing I am experiencing really is exhaustion. I knew I was pregnant even when I was getting BFNs because of how tired I was 😬

mashm24 · 02/06/2023 08:32

Welcome everybody and congratulations 🎉

I'm also scared about the nausea and looking after a little one. I'm hoping if we're busy it make take our mind off the symptoms a little (wishful thinking?)

I picked up some cyclizine today. Any other remedies which have helped people with the sickness?

Jaystarlight · 02/06/2023 22:09

Hi everyone. My nausea has been hell today. I am thinking about booking a GP appointment as it’s horrible and making me so miserable x

Bessie85 · 03/06/2023 03:28

Hi all,

Congratulations on all your pregnancies ❤️

Just wondering if anyone else has constant aching legs/bum cheeks?? Mine is currently keeping me awake (I’m 4 weeks). Really anxious as I had a miscarriage (3rd one :( ) 2 months ago and my legs felt like this then too. No cramping though. I’ve had one successful pregnancy with my DS, but can’t remember if the leg feeling is normal or not, so thought I’d see how common it is amongst you guys?xx

TTCing · 03/06/2023 05:49

Hi everyone,

please may I join?

i am tentatively and cautiously joining as I’m only 3 weeks 4 days. EDD 13th Feb 24.

I’ve been TTC baby number 2 for 11 cycles and had a chemical in April 😢 I’ve also had one other early loss. So the innocence of pregnancy is lost for me and is all anxiety and being sceptical 😞

I have a daughter already who will be 2 in December.

Congrats to you all xxx

HashB · 03/06/2023 09:05

Hi @Bessie85

congratulations!

i have been testing positive for the last week but the reason I didn’t test sooner was because I was getting back ache and leg ache not too dissimilar to period pain.

im still getting the back ache daily, it’s never painful but it is uncomfortable and then it passes within 5-10 minutes.

it was really worrying me but when I’ve googled apparently it is a counterintuitive pregnancy symptom?? Something about your body starts releasing a hormone as soon as you conceive to loosen and soften your lady parts and the side effect is backache.

you’re not alone in in the pains or the worry though!

mashm24 · 03/06/2023 09:42

@Bessie85 hey! I have the achey legs. I had really bad restless legs with my first, and feel like I'm getting it again. I was told this is quite common. X
