Hello 😁

Is there a thread for babies due February 2024 yet? I've just got my positive, although super early so not getting too excited.

Due 1 Feb / 31 Jan. I had irregular periods so hard to pinpoint exactly.

Hope to have others join me soon :) x

glad to hear I’m not alone in the upset tum club, slightly concerned I might 💩 myself on the plane but hey ho 😂 excited to be with you all on this journey x

Anyone had periods where their symptoms disappear? I will be 6 weeks tomorrow and have been exhausted with very sore and swollen boobs- today my boobs are fine and I feel full of energy which makes me worry. Which I do alot of anyway!

Silverpixieflorence · 29/06/2023 11:34

@Nelliepledge I'm exactly the same I'm 6 weeks on Saturday and have been feeling sick the last two days and sore boobs and today absolutely nothing...I Alan want the sickness to come back!

Silverpixieflorence · 29/06/2023 11:34

Alan? 😂 I meant *almost. Not sure who Alan is

Nelliepledge · 29/06/2023 11:44

Come back Alan 😄 oh glad you are the same!

Yep! Exactly the same

Hi ladies!

had my booking in appointment yesterday, forgot they want a sample of all bodily functions! Urine and bloods have gone, and I’ve got my dating scan booked in.

NHS has calculated my Due date as 25th Jan but I explained my cycles are 36/37 days so much longer than the standard 28 days but their system doesn’t adjust.

so when my scan is booked I think I’ll only be 10+5 they’ll have me as 12+1 so I think I’ll be too early but it’ll be interesting to see what they say!

@Rachae I’m so sorry lovely.

DmcinT · 29/06/2023 13:37

@Nelliepledge @Silverpixieflorence this was me a few days ago, boobs sore, sick feeling if I got anyway hungry and then everything went for a day, of course I was all worried and then yesterday everything back with a vengeance 😂 so be careful what I wish for haha

Nemo145 · 29/06/2023 13:46

I’m also in the same boat, my boobs don’t feel as full and heavy today and I don’t feel as nauseous. My resting heart rate has also plummeted when it had been consistently higher since I got my positive result. I’m praying this doesn’t signal something bad. Still 11 days till my next scan which feels like eternity.

My heart rate is getting back down to normal levels too.

Normally I'm about 47-48, went up to average 60, now back to 56-58

Thought it might just be my body adjusting, less caffeine etc

Nemo145 · 29/06/2023 13:55

@GeriatricMumma Yours is low like mine, its always commented on when my stats are taken.
Im usually around 47-49, it had been 52/53 for the past few weeks and today it’s gone down to 46! Urgh! Why is this so stressful. I’m hoping it’s a blip.

Yep mine is usually super low, even more so in my sleep. It was one of the things that made me suspect I might be pg as I am acutely aware of how my heart 'feels'

Nelliepledge · 29/06/2023 19:17

Glad to hear you guys are the same, hope you've all had a good day. I've got a 6 week early pregnancy scan on the NHS tomorrow due to some spotting last week. It's my first and partner or mum can't come with me so im nervous! Can anyone advise what to expect to take some anxiety out of the unknown please? It's a tranvaginal x x

Nemo145 · 29/06/2023 19:43

If you haven’t been before they’ll do your height and weight and bp. There is usually a bit of a wait at the hospital I go to, even if you have an apt booked, and then they’ll scan you. They don’t say anything for a few mins while they have a good look. Then hopefully they’ll give you good news

anony1111 · 29/06/2023 20:39

Hey ladies

I hope you don't mind me joining, I'm 7 weeks and due 14th Feb.
I had my booking appointment today which made it feel very real all of a sudden!
This will be my second but still as nervous as if it's my first Blush

Nelliepledge · 29/06/2023 20:55

Thank you pal xxxx

Shiningstar0224 · 29/06/2023 20:56

Welcome @anony1111 😊
I've been prescribed Cyclizine from my doctors as my nausea is so bad it's quite debilitating. Has anyone else taken it? It's making me feel very sleepy 😴 🥱

Took it during my last pregnancy and it really helped!

Shiningstar0224 · 29/06/2023 21:05

@GeriatricMumma ah really good to know, thanks 😊

Tilly18101 · 29/06/2023 21:10

Welcome @anony1111

Ihatewinding · 29/06/2023 21:44

I've found cyclizine good but not quite enough to prevent vomitting after a bit so now have cyclizine 2-3 times a day, starting first thing after a small breakfast (minimum window is 6 hours, max 3 tablets in 24 hours) then a promethazine before bed and fingers crossed that seems to do the trick! I take it regularly, rather than waiting to feel nauseous as then find harder to get on top of. Promethazine is really sedating though so only take on a night and does help with better sleep also so extra bonus😊

KittyKat1989 · 29/06/2023 22:18

I had my booking bloods done last week and the hospital called to let me know I have a UTI so I’m on antibiotics for that now. Isn’t pregnancy glamorous!

Ebonythoughts · 29/06/2023 23:32

Hi all,

I had some spotting a week or so ago and went for an early private scan that thankfully said everything is ok but that I have a small haemotoma that would heal itself. Spotting stopped the following day so I haven’t been too worried but had some spotting again today. Went to visit family in another city yesterday and I’m
not sure if the travel caused it and I’m not sure if it’s something I should be concerned about. Im comforted by the fast I still have horrendous nausea so I’m telling myself everything is ok but I would love some advice. Is spotting on and off normal? I have some pain on my left side womb too but that’s been reoccurring since the start of the pregnancy and is a dull pain not really bad.

I am supposed to go out of the city for work tomorrow and now I’m anxious about travelling and thinking about asking to give this is a miss. My first appointment with the midwife is next week and I don’t think I can wait for that long.

any advice?

Aww bless you, sounds stressful. It’s great that you had a scan and they said all was well but you had a haemotoma. I think you can be really reassured by that. It’s normal for a harmotoma to bleed on and off, so it’s very likely the spotting you are having is the same cause. It’s so common in pregnancy and should resolve itself over time. Very unlikely to affect baby xxx

@Ebonythoughts I had a hematoma on my last pregnancy and i spotted between five weeks and about seven and a half weeks. I think you can spot until it passes. I was told pelvic rest for the first trimester - no sex and no vigorous exercise. Other than that I carried on as usual.
