@Solowannabemom just read your post, I've no real advice but to let you know that I am hoping you get through this rough time and take all the support you can get, physically and mentally. Your journey hasn't been what you expected so far but hoping there's light at the end of the tunnel for you xxx
@DaisyMay25 my re-scan is today at 3 aswell! I've also been getting cramps each side and middle of my tummy which I suspect is ligament/stretching pain. I've kinda been a bit pucky due to nausea up until recently, definitely feel like it's the heat! Getting it more now than ever.
Good luck to anyone else receiving scans today 💕

Magicbean5 · 14/06/2023 09:21

Lucky not pucky

smldnlove · 14/06/2023 09:33

Hope everyone with scans today goes well ✨ let us know how you all get on xx

I've not been on for a while as been waiting for my private Nipt results, came back as low risk 1:10,000 and its a boy. However just had a call from my gp regarding my blood test taken at the booking appt 2 weeks ago and they've booked an appt for me in 2 weeks to discuss results with a Dr?! What could this be! I assume not too urgent as the appt is in 2 weeks although I'm not suprised with lack of appts at the moment... bit worried now

Mushroo · 14/06/2023 10:10

@Lakeside88 congrats on the NIPT results! Must be such a relief and lovely to know it’s a boy!

I suspect the blood results won’t be too serious, it might just be low iron or something. or if you don’t know your blood type it could be Rhesus negative and they want to go through what that means.

Have you got a copy of the actual results? Mine all came though via an app. I wouldn’t worry too much though, like you say if it was something bad I imagine the appointment would be sooner.

GratefulMum10 · 14/06/2023 10:12

Hi all I had my 12 week scan yesterday. Unfortunately no heartbeat they think baby measuring 9 weeks so silent miscarriage. Need to go in as inpatient for medical management of the miscarriage.

I only had couple of light spots at ten weeks which they said was probably placenta attaching itself but now looking back I don't know. Wish I had an 8/9 week private scan maybe next time need to consider that.

Anyway just wanted to put up last post before I leave the thread.

Hoping I can get pregnant again I'm 37 and this was my first pregnancy. Heartbroken but trying to stay positive.

Wishing you all the best of luck for your December babies. Take care x

ThomasinaLivesHere · 14/06/2023 10:36

@GratefulMum10 So sorry to read this. Wishing you the best for the future!

@Lakeside88 Like Mushroo says there are lots of minor issues that can come up on blood tests. I wouldn’t worry. I had something come up on my blood tests last time and it had zero effect.

@mushroo ok good hopefully nothing major then, I can see I space for blood results in badger app but just says no results! It's a big waiting game isn't it...

smldnlove · 14/06/2023 12:40

@GratefulMum10 I am so sorry to hear your update. Must be devastating. Really sending you lots of love and strength - take care and best of luck to you xx

wannabemum38 · 14/06/2023 12:49

@GratefulMum10 so so sorry to hear this all the love and best wishes in the world for you.
@Solowannabemom we were also expecting twins but one passed away at about 6 wks 3 days we think. It has completely been absorbed and disappeared and at my 12 wk scan all was OK with the other baby. I did have cramps and spotting at 10 weeks and currently have a bladder infection with more cramps which was looked at yesterday its such a tough time. I thought after the 12 week scan I would settle down but seeing all these losses lately make me so anxious

Justanothercyster · 14/06/2023 14:32

Just a little update, had my scan this morning and all was good with the little wriggler. I won't post a pics just because of those who have had sad news. Wishing you all love and hugs x

@Justanothercyster thats great news! Was that your 12 week scan?

DaisyMay25 · 14/06/2023 16:37

Had my scan, baby was still for measurements thankfully! Measuring two days ahead now so 24/12 and I miss out on mat pay from work by two days 😂
Nice to see everything is fine though, booked in for 20 weeks scan and to see a consultant about my section

Charlielechat · 14/06/2023 16:45

Congratulations to those who had healthy scans today!

And so sorry to hear more sad news from others. I have my 12 week scan and booking appointment on Friday and feeling really anxious about it. Really hope all is ok 🙏

RG84 · 14/06/2023 16:56

I'm sorry to hear about the recent scans, I've been there myself and its truly heartbreaking.

Today i had my 12 week scan (12+5) and baby is doing good. Thank god but still very worrying. Baby measured 13+2 so about 4 days ahead. A relief but will remain worried naturally. Due date 18Dec but will probably be earlier as it'll be a section too.

I hope everyone is doing okay.

Vsah22 · 14/06/2023 17:14

So sorry to all those who are heartbroken and/or struggling right now, seems like so many are going through a lot.

I’m new here, 35 and my first pregnancy. Had my very first scan today and they’ve moved my due date forward 4 days to 23rd December. Always loved Christmas but safe to say definitely hadn’t planned a Christmas baby. My partner hasn’t let himself get excited until today for the exact reasons other people have said, he was worried right up until the end of the scan. Thankfully everything looks okay and just waiting on the bloods to come back as there was an over 2 hour wait. Fingers crossed everything comes back as low risk. Baby was upside down but then became quite the mover.

At what point are you meant to book NCT classes? I’ve heard people talk about them but no one has said when to book and yet I’ve heard they get booked up quickly.

I saw some people mentioned hayfever somewhere, is it okay to take? I read that citrizine was safe then went to my box and they all have disclaimers to check with a doctor so now I’m wondering if they are saying it’s best to avoid taking them unless absolutely needed. I’ve already got an air purifier but clearly that doesn’t work in the garden so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Charlielechat · 14/06/2023 17:25

@Vsah22 I've been taking cetirizine every day for my rhinitis. Hasn't caused any problems as of yet. I googled a lot and it seems that they can't say it's totally safe as they haven't done enough research - same as a lot of medications in pregnancy it seems!

I’ve booked Bump and Baby and the classes start end of September. Might be a bit keen but none of the timings for NCT work for us. hayfever wise lotradine is safe in pregnancy. If you’re unsure about a medicine the NHS runs this service so you can check if a medication is safe. https://www.medicinesinpregnancy.org/Medicine--pregnancy/Loratadine/

It was @Mushroo , measuring bang on what I thought I might be at 13+2 with a EDD of 18th Dec x

@DaisyMay25 yay! Good baby!

@RG84 glad it went well, due date buddies (maybe lol)

@DaisyMay25 due date buddies 24.12.23 xxx

Kat2022 · 14/06/2023 21:32

Hi, could you possibly ask them to revise your date? I’ve challenged mine as it was inaccurate by 5 days and I did say I know exactly when I ovulated and they said they can change it on the system for me if I am really unhappy about this. I decided to stick to NHS due date but if you’re only talking 2 days this is very close so it may be worth speaking to someone if you also think the date is not correct and this means you could get your maternity pay

RG84 · 14/06/2023 21:37

@Kat2022 @DaisyMay25 what do you mean by missing out on mat pay?

DaisyMay25 · 14/06/2023 21:38

@RG84 I needed to have worked there for a year by my 29th week to be eligible for the enhanced mat pay. Unfortunately I'll be 29 weeks when I've worked there for 363 days 😭

DaisyMay25 · 14/06/2023 21:41

@Kat2022 that's true, I might speak to my manager and see what she says. It'll change my section date though too though which worries me
