@FlyingHighFlyingLow glad all was well x

TMI2000 · 02/05/2023 17:20

@38andtrying hiya! 11+1 today and super tired, most of my symptoms have calmed down a lot, very little nausea and boobs are only sore if I really poke at them. Which is quite nerve wracking but went out with my little sister this morning and was completely whacked out and felt like I’d been on my feet all day from 1😂 dating scan is a week today and cannot come quick enough!!

Bookworm12345 · 02/05/2023 17:42

I'm a few days behind you and it's so nerve-wracking on the days when you feel a little better, isn't it?

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 02/05/2023 17:53

@Bookworm12345 omg it so is though I have felt much worse yesterday and today at 10 and 10 + 1 x

Psqueak87 · 02/05/2023 18:00

@38andtrying I’m 13+3, all symptoms other than tiredness have gone. Thank god because between weeks 6-9 I was nauseous all the time, and then between 9-12 I was constantly throwing up, lost 8% of my body weight, was miserable.

pretty much 12+1 my sickness lifted and I’m now able to eat like a normal person, the weight is piling back on as I crave anything between bread. Specifically baguette bread, currently scoffing baguettes at a rate of one baguette per two days, lol.

energy came back somewhat, I’ve gone back to my personal training sessions and managed a 10km hike the other day. So it’s a really good feeling. There’s a bit of paranoia that it all went away so suddenly, but after feeling that awful I promised myself I wouldn’t waste the good days worrying.

had my 12 week scan about 10 days ago but baby wasn’t cooperating so I have another one tomorrow. Hopefully won’t be too late for the necessary measurements as I know the cut off is like 13+5 or something, and I’ll be 13+3 tomorrow and baby was measuring ahead last time.

finally told work after being really late one day as I had to pull over so many times to be sick. Everyone was so supportive and lovely, and they’re really making sure that I’m ok, and that I might need pee breaks more often, lol.

my parents are landing in Canada to visit me in 12 days and I will be telling them then. They have no idea we’ve even been trying (for 8 long years) and this’ll be their only grandchild so I’m really looking forward to it!

so sorry to anyone who’s had bad news over the past week.

TMI2000 · 02/05/2023 19:22

@Bookworm12345 its horrible, until baby moves it’s just trusting in my body that everything’s okay which is so difficult. Just taking it one day at a time at the moment!

medicmumma · 02/05/2023 20:11

Anyone have an awful taste in their mouth all the time?

Bookworm12345 · 02/05/2023 20:20

Yes, it's horrible isn't it? I had it with my last child too.

Bookworm12345 · 02/05/2023 20:21

Have you had a scan yet? I've got mine in just over a fortnight, so cautiously waiting until then!

Thack · 02/05/2023 20:25

@FlyingHighFlyingLow wait until you can feel the hiccups! My LO had them several times a day for weeks before birth, always made me smile 😊

JD90 · 02/05/2023 20:27

@medicmumma yup, 100% it's absolutely horrendous.

Thack · 02/05/2023 20:27

@Psqueak87 have you planned how to tell them yet?
With my first I saw my parents before they went on hols to celebrate their birthdays. Gave them Happy Birthday Grandad /Grandma cards, my dad spotted it right away. Mum not so fast!

Psqueak87 · 02/05/2023 20:41

@Thack yes it’s their 40th wedding anniversary. I will pick them up at the airport and then make the 3 hour drive to my house. I will have an “anniversary” gift waiting for them here with a baby onesie and (hopefully) an ultrasound photo (they don’t give them here so I’m going to have to try print one off myself). I’ve already had the onesie made.
and I’ll have some champagne ready to pop!

to explain the onesie, my dads side are Italian (hence nonno and Nonna) and my mum is welsh (hence Mamgu and Dadcu)

@Psqueak87 that's lovely 😻 x

Thack · 02/05/2023 20:45

@Psqueak87 that is awesome! They'll love it, very excited for you!

Psqueak87 · 02/05/2023 20:48

Thank you! Gonna try and secretly record their reaction. They’ve pretty much given up on ever getting grand children, so I think it’s gonna go off! Lol.

Sb86 · 02/05/2023 21:13

Ahhhhh I absolutely love that @Psqueak87 😍

LilmissCa · 02/05/2023 21:43

@Psqueak87 love your reveal plan!! And glad your feeling a lot better now!

AngeloMysterioso · 02/05/2023 22:13

Evening all! The brown discharge went away by itself, but I haven’t been able to shake the 10-11 weeks paranoia so I’m going for a reassurance scan tomorrow, and because I’m impatient I’ve also booked a clinical sneak peek blood test at the same time Grin

Fairylight102 · 03/05/2023 14:12

medicmumma · 02/05/2023 20:11

Anyone have an awful taste in their mouth all the time?

Yes I get this a lot, I wondering if this a pregnancy symptom in itself or related to the changes in diet since being nauseous and eating a really limited range of food.

I’ve been drinking a lot of apple juice, something sharp tasting tends to make my mouth feel a bit better.

whatamess100 · 03/05/2023 17:48

Hi, 13+4 second pregnancy, anyone else's bump hurt after walking or standing for a while ( im huge already) also I'm suffering with terrible lower back, i have been doing alot but I'm on my own so i have no choice. Please tell me im not alone!

FfoxRedN · 03/05/2023 19:52

@AngeloMysterioso have everything crossed for tomorrow!

@Psqueak87 your plan is wonderful, what a surprise that's going to be 🥰

@whatamess100 it sounds really tough if you have no help. I don't have any suggestions other than to rest where you possibly can and if the pain gets really bad link in with your midwife they may have suggestions to ease the discomfort.

Is anyone else just getting nausea at night? It gets to 5-6pm and I have terrible nausea and headaches every evening 😔. I'd rather these symptoms than none, but it's getting hard to do anything other than work and then come home and sleep xx

Sb86 · 03/05/2023 20:03

Definitely gets worse as the day goes on @FfoxRedN although mine has decreased over the past week but I'm hoping that's because I'm 12+4

FfoxRedN · 03/05/2023 20:05

@Sb86 thank you for replying, I think it's normal at that stage for them to ease off, I'm just over 10 weeks so hopefully after the 12 week scan it'll ease up, just feel a bit bored and useless at this stage 🤣 x

Yes, nausea is far worse for me in the afternoon/evening. Lying down in bed makes me feel awful 🤢😔 plus the awful taste in my mouth a lot of the time.
