Anyone else out there nearing the end and well and truly done? Feel free to come and a moan with me.

I’ve had a relatively stress free pregnancy so far but the last week everything has flipped. I’m having a nightmare with my hospital, somehow gained 6lbs in a week, I’m constantly in a bad mood and snapping at my husband and generally feel like complete rubbish, barely sleeping and unbelievably uncomfortable all the time. It still feels like forever to go.

35 weeks yesterday and I'm so so so ready to have him in my arms! I'm tired all of the time and keep crashing (iron has gone to 7, midwife said supposed to be 30(?). You're allowed to snap don't worry. We're nearly there

Tiredmama30 · 12/04/2023 16:12

I'm only 30.5 weeks and I feel this. I've been so cranky and just bleugh. The indigestion, the weight gain, the moving ribs, baby in my ribs (was breech until a few days ago), the aches, the heartburn, the anaemia, the leg cramps, the constipation, the thrush....literally considering whether I'm going to be fit to work upto 38 weeks (mainly work from home anyway) but I'm just so uncomfortable. For reference I'm 5ft tall but with long legs so my torso is literally squished. Sleeping is a nightmare. I went for a pregnancy massage there a few days ago and even it was a nightmare because my rib cage has expanded right out to the sides.

Feel bit guilty moaning so much sometimes because this was such a tried for and wanted baby, especially after a miscarriage but ladies it is not easy!! Had to go into hospital because my iron plummeted there at the end of last week and they thought it was pre eclampsia (thankfully it wasn't!) but my god what a scare. After that and getting tested for gestational diabetes and ending up going for a head CT scan I'm just so ready for this pregnancy to be over and the little man to be here....and i've still 8 weeks to go!!

Tiredmama30 · 12/04/2023 16:13

This is literally exactly the type of thread I needed today. Feels good to get that off my chest.

SpringIsBloom · 12/04/2023 16:19

Thank you
37 weeks and here for this too

I had blood sugar issues prior to pregnancy (reactive hypoglycemia) which I've managed it ok in the past but have really struggled the last 10 weeks. So fatigued and weak all the time and unable to keep active as I'd like (and the lack of activity will be exasperating things). Have the odd panic about never having any energy ever again!

Jammiedodger12 · 12/04/2023 16:54

100%%. This is my second baby and currently looking after a poorly 3 year old, finding it hard to sleep and constantly peeing is not helping my mood. I am also very disorganized this time - still need to pack a bag, buy things and just generally get my life in order - but once i finish work in the evening or at the weekend I just want to chill out!

I also found out last week that baby is breech, so have another scan on Monday to see if thats still the case - But I can feel its head under my ribs so it doesn't seem likely.

Can't wait to wrap up work and get my life in order before the chaos begins!

imy · 12/04/2023 16:59

36+2 and it feels like baby is currently punching me in my cervix. Absolutely fed up, just want my old body back and to feel like I can do whatever I want again! I can barely get up off the sofa right now. I have a section booked for 39+1 which is the light at the end of the tunnel!

Jammiedodger12 · 12/04/2023 17:02

@imy almost there!!

if baby is still breech come Monday I am
going to book a section.

Charl881 · 12/04/2023 17:04

I was literally just coming on Mumsnet to start my own thread about being fed up!

I’m 38 weeks tomorrow and I am SO ready to have this baby.

Charl881 · 12/04/2023 17:05

@Jammiedodger12 I feel your pain, my almost three year old has been poorly this week and it is making everything seem 100x more difficult.

Jammiedodger12 · 12/04/2023 17:13

@Charl881 it's awful. Mine just seems to get a cold on top of a cough and circle back to a cold again. It's madness!

hopefully he will be better by the weekend (and I don't manage to catch whatever he's had)

devonmum8 · 12/04/2023 17:17

35+2 here and feeling it as well! Also have a snotty 3 year old, bleeding piles and my husband's mere presence is driving me up the wall. 😂

Charl881 · 12/04/2023 17:17

The coughing at night is the worst… it wakes me up and then while he’s gone back to sleep no problem I lie wide awake with all my pregnancy aches and pains! Just hoping this is the last bug before baby / summer time!

liveandlaugh · 12/04/2023 18:11

It's so nice to find a thread like this! I always feel like I'm being judged for not enjoying pregnancy!
I'm 31.5 weeks with my second and I naively thought this pregnancy couldn't be as hard as my first but I was wrong!
Crippling PGP, nausea, backache, restless legs, migraines, dizziness, UTIs and constipation and knowing from last time that it will only get worse until I give birth! All while looking after a very energetic toddler!
Very grateful we only wanted 2 children and that is what we will be lucky enough to have!

Jadex92x · 12/04/2023 19:22

I'm 38 weeks on Saturday and feeling the same, not sleeping great , had diarrhea for the past 3 days and constant googling early labour symptoms! Stuck at home as well with sciatica which isn't helping , days are dragging by.

Charl881 · 12/04/2023 19:30

@Jadex92x With you on the constantly googling early labour symptoms (and diahhrea), I’m driving myself mad! I wish I could just relax and enjoy these last couple of weeks but it is easier said than done.

lmw88 · 12/04/2023 19:35

I'm 35+5 getting a bit fed up. Still have to move into new house which isn't ready yet before baby arrives!! (Swear I'm not panicking!!!!)

Jammiedodger12 · 12/04/2023 19:44

Just need to hold on to the thought that it will all be worth it and we will have our beautiful babies in our arms soon (and a VERY large Gin) 😂

Jadex92x · 12/04/2023 19:54

@Charl881 same it is so hard 😫 pregnancy has flew in up until about 2 weeks ago !

@Jammiedodger12 oh 100% looking forward to a gin!!

MO22 · 12/04/2023 19:56

34w here and restless legs are DRIVING ME UP THE WALL I WANT TO CHOP THEM OFF

sjmco · 12/04/2023 20:02

36+2 here and I am too fed up!! I can't complain about sleeping though.... I'm actually sleeping amazing!! Don't wake up once!! But during the day I feel like I am just dragging my body along! I'm constantly suffering with back pains! I also have a 3 year old and really struggling with him on day to day 😢

I feel you! I'm having to have a bath with epsom salts every night and that seems to provide enough relief to get me through the night!

Replitad · 12/04/2023 20:23

33 weeks and just spent evening crying and feeling sorry for myself. Had milk and yoghurt for dinner so I can avoid sleeping setting up due to acid reflux

Betsyboo87 · 12/04/2023 20:29

39+3 here. I know I am so close but I am SO fed up. This baby is right on my bladder and I’m so sick of going to the toilet multiple times per night and barely being able to walk anywhere during the day. My first was born at 40+2 and the thought of another week of this doesn’t make me happy.

MO22 · 12/04/2023 21:15

@liveandlaugh Haha yes I literally just had one after I posted with half a bag of epsom salts, it has helped about 5 percent. Driving me MAD. Any other home remedies from anyone please do share, I will try anything at this point?l!

Surprisepregnancy1 · 12/04/2023 21:38

So delighted to read this. Late pregnancy moans all round!! 37 + 2 and have swapped heartburn and breathlessness for diarrhoea now baby has dropped a bit!! Not sure what is worse! Feeling very tired and short tempered. Braxton hicks keep tricking me into thinking labour might be imminent but the other two were close to 40 weeks so it’s unlikely!! Ready for baby to be here but also not remotely ready?! The other two are 4 and 1 so being this pregnant with relentless “mama”-ing is driving me crazy!!
