20wk scan went well today. Baby boy is perfect and growing as he should be. So relieved 💙💙

Hey everyone, sorry for the delayed message. I found out on Monday - I’m team BLUE! 💙💙
I agree it would be funny if all those yet to find out we’re also having a boy.
I also wish I had the problem of NOT piling on the pounds. The word I’m using to describe my current feeling is hefty 😂

I can’t really complain about my weight gain….am currently laid on the sofa having just demolished a takeaway 🤣 although I saw my mum today and she thinks I am much smaller than she was at this stage with her first, she had a bigger bump and her feet and legs had also started to swell!! She’s going to try and dig out her paperwork from when she was pregnant with her weights recorded on 🙈

Well I knew it ladies, 20 week scan today and it IS a boy!! 💙💙 another for minority team blue! @kl1999

A bit annoying though as we couldn’t get him to flip over so have to go back next week to do the heart measurements, but everything else looked perfect - so relieved!

How is everyone doing/feeling?

Just back from my scan! So relived that baby is looking healthy and all measurements ok!!
The sonographer did say that my placenta is low, and therefore I have another scan booked in august. He thinks it will be fine by then, it’s currently 1cm from my cervix and needs to be 2.5cm! To be honest I’m quite pleased we get to see bubs again and if I have to have a c-section then so be it, we will cross that bridge when it comes to it! Still team yellow 💛 although I thought I saw boy and my other half thought he saw girl! 😂

Congrats everyone on you 20 week scans! So much fun to read about, now really looking forward to mine which is next Wendsday, slightly late due to only day DH can take off.
All very exciting (: can't believe we got to this stage!!!
I am now thinking I can de feel baby move (possibly anyway!) how about you?

@Houseelf90 I hope your scan goes well next time and as long as baby is healthy and you are feeling healthy that’s what’s important that’s so exciting you are strong I really wanted to know what we we’re having I couldn’t help it that’s really good well done 💛

@Bizzybee900 good luck with the scan next week 🥰 excited for you and yes can’t believe it as well I have been feeling flutters from 17/18 weeks but now the baby is getting stronger and I can feel her little legs kicking still soft but definitely I know her little movements now 💕

@Bizzybee900 good luck for your scan next week! I can feel movement, definitely getting stronger from the flutters I could first feel! However I can feel them quite central and low down, baby was laying across me during me scan and moving quite a lot and I couldn’t feel any of that movement!

@Daisy155 I am quite possibly the most impatient person ever usually but I’ve been impressed with myself on this! I think because I have told myself all along we are not finding out I haven’t really found it tempting! Although it didn’t stop me trying to look for things during the scan, and googling the measurements this evening to see if that gave any clues 🤣

I'm really starting to feel more little kicks now despite the anterior placenta. It's so lovely! They seem to be wide awake of an evening 🙃 Not wishing summer away but I want the weeks to fly by now!
I had a dream lastnight baby was a boy. But DH has dreamt it's a girl (now he's convinced it is) So who knows! Excited to find out in September 💛

@Astar21 yes he explained that it’s attached to the uterus so as the uterus expands and grows it will naturally move away from the cervix.
I am so excited to find out what baby is! Once they arrive of course! I’m hoping the next 19 weeks go as quickly as the last 21 have gone!

Congrats on your good scans everyone! It is really very exciting we all made it (almost) halfway or beyond how. I hope everyone can really relax and enjoy their pregnancies now, especially once those kicks become more noticeable.

@Bizzybee900 best of luck for Wednesday! I also started feeling baby early, from 16/17 weeks on (2nd time mum), but then it was still super light and quite irregular. She’s definitely getting stronger now, last night she was kicking like crazy and I could see my belly moving (just little jab like movements for now). It’s really nice to feel them get bigger and stronger. Later on you’ll be able to almost see their outline under your belly and feel them roll, hiccup, kick and box, etc. It’s the best. I can’t wait, but also trying to just enjoy the pregnancy. It goes so fast!

The kicks are getting stronger and stronger and with everything that happened last year I am just so grateful 🥹 I had an anterior placenta as well but I didn’t feel kicks this strong even up to the later weeks! But she is really going for it all day I fed her kicks, even though I have an anterior placenta again!

Just feeling really grateful and as I haven’t told anyone close to us yet except 3 people who see me regularly none of our family members know we are pregnant again, I just thought to share my happiness in here this pregnancy feels right! I’m scared to even say that but it’s true.

So emotional 😭 today in a good way! Maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones but I am just happy ! I hope everyone is ok as well x

Have any of you received a MAT1B form from your midwife yet? It's really stressing me out, I need one for work but the hospital isn't replying to my emails, 20week scan midwife couldn't do one, gp says get one from hospital.....
Surely I can't be the only one being asked for one by work & husband work also needs it for booking paternity leave.
Some on here are weeks ahead of me with pregnancy pls reassure me and tell me the form just turns up in the post at some point...🙈

@Bizzybee900 your midwife should be able to provide you with the form. Do you have their number you can call/text to ask for it? My midwife asked me at my 16w appointment if I needed it, but I'm self employed so didn't need!

@Daisy155 it's just the most lovely feeling isn't it getting to this point 🥰 every time baby does a little kick I feel so grateful. I can't hide my bump anymore, people have started to ask!

@Bizzybee900 at my 16 week appt my midwife said she would give it to me at my 25 week appt. She did ask if I needed it any sooner but work just said to give them it when I get it so happy to wait till 25 wks, hopefully your midwife will be able to sort it 😊

@Bizzybee900 I've been told I can get mine at my 25 week appointment too, which personally I think is so late! I told my team at week 16, hr week 21 and still no form. I don't really know what they need it for if you've told them but it's annoying if it holds anything up recruiting for cover or with your pay.

All OK here, kicks are getting stronger and my bump is definitely growing, it's lovely! Really settled in to it now after such anxious weeks. We're going to our local John Lewis next week for an appointment to test prams and things 😍 been told there's no obligation to buy so will be good to try some stuff out as the Internet research I'm doing is overwhelming! Hope you're all well and happy Friday x

How is everyone doing? Has anyone had their 25 week appointments?
Mine is a week on Friday!
