Hello. Today is 5/april/23. I’m 17 from UK and I had my nexplanon removed on 17/3/23 due to very heavy and irregular periods. My cycles were 12-16 days long.
I got my period 17th-23rd march. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend 19th, 23rd, 26th march and 1st and 2nd of April since the implant was removed. My ovulation was estimated 24th-30th march (CD7-13) and highest ovulation peak day being about CD9/10.
After unprotected sex on 2/4/23 I experienced a small amount of brown discharge and for the past 4 days including today (CD19) I’m spotting the images down below. I’m not due on my period for 5-10 days yet. Is it early spotting or implantation bleeding? I’m peeing a lot more, I got tonsillitis 2 days ago, I’ve felt dizzy, abdominal cramps, sore/more sensitive nipples (I’ve never experienced that), headaches, very very fatigued and often napping and getting very emotional.
Is it too early to test or when can I test?

It looks like spotting before a period to me, I used to get this up to 2 days before my period started. It could be that your period is coming a little early as your body adjusts to having the implant removed. If it is implantation then you would need to wait another week before testing for your HCG levels to rise enough.

So I've had this spotting CD 16,17,18 and 19 (today). I've ordered some early detection tests (up to 6 days before missed period) when do you think it would pick up if it was to be BFP?

It said on FLO APP that my fertile window was CD7-15 which was straight after my period but I got the egg white discharge CD12-15 so not sure exactly when I ovulated. Usually I spot on the day of my period and later on that day I'll get the blood or occasionally the day before. I've never spotted brown discharge with no blood for 4 days and not had a period so seems very unusual. My period is expected 10th/11th with a 24 day cycle so I'll test around then. Thank you :)

Also just thought I'd ask, when you tested 9dpo and got a bfp. Was that with an extra sensitive a few days before missed period test or just a normal one to take around missed period?

My test was the early response test, it was a faint positive at 9dpo and usually my period would start 12dpo. Good luck, hope you get the result you want! 🙂

Thank you so much for your help, much appreciated. If I ovulated day 12/13/14 will the dpo be from the cd12 as that was the first day?

@PossiblyPregnantAt17 Ive often had similar discharge around the time of ovulation, some months it would only last the day and other months a few days.
It could be a sign you’ve ovulated. It could also be your hormones readjusting from the implant removal possibly.

Still no sign of a period. However, brown spotting has stopped and has turned to this.

I reckon I ovulated somewhere between CD10-14 so maybe Saturday or Sunday morning and if still negative I'll do one more 2 days later..this is so scary. I haven't had a cycle this long in about 3 months

I honestly don't know what it could be haha it's has never been like this. I'm not going to be sad or angry either way. I've always thought I was infertile or less likely to fall pregnant due to most likely having endometriosis. Seems odd I didn't start period after the brown spotting though. Does it look pale pink to you?

It does look a little pink, though quite watery too. Normally when I got brown spotting my period would start the next day. Hope you get some clarity soon!

Update: would probs be 8 or possibly 9dpo today and I saw a very faint second line but only in certain lights however a very strong negative.

I think I can see a very faint line on that first photo.. I would definitely test again either tomorrow or the day after..it could be that you're so early the line is very faint. The control line will always be a lot darker at first so that's normal.

I only saw a faint line when I looked very closely

I'm due on tomorrow and no sign of period or even spotting. I'm CD23 today
