I came off birth control at the end of October and just found out this week I'm around 4 weeks.
This is my current belly bloat and I'm loving every minute of it. I am being so careful, currently off work for 2 weeks (easter) so I feel the timing is just perfect because I can focus on my health and resting.
I hope the bloat goes down a little before returning to school? It wouldn't take my pupils long to question me!!
At the moment, I have no aversions and I'm eating alot more than normal, severe constipation, insomnia, emotional but I'm enjoying it xx

Strange post

It's about pregnancy on the pregnancy board. Not that strange. 😂

Anyway it's a happy post! 🤩

elodiesmith · 02/04/2023 00:30

'When will 'the bloat' go away? OP you're 5 months pregnant, it's your baby growing. Your stomach will keep getting bigger?

Roxyroxy11 · 02/04/2023 00:31

Sorry if my post comes across that way. Just literally wrote what I was thinking 🤔 can I ask why you find it strange? I just talked about my symptoms and how I'm feeling?

She's 4 weeks

elodiesmith · 02/04/2023 00:32

Sorry you're 4 weeks, just reread it.
Hm I didn't have a belly until I was 5 months pregnant so your bloat could be to you eating a lot more than usual?
You're only supposed to eat a little bit more starting from second semester I believe.

But of course if you want to eat I am not advising you to stop Smile

Roxyroxy11 · 02/04/2023 00:33

I'm a few weeks pregnant not 5 months
Eh I know my belly is going to grow. I think that is quite undermining. I'm just basically asking will the bloat go down after my hormones settle as I will struggle to hide it until my scan.

Congratulations, it's exciting time. Especially before the morning sickness comes in Grin

Have you thought of any names? Do you have a preference for a boy or a girl?😊

Roxyroxy11 · 02/04/2023 00:36

Yes, your probably right. I'm usually an under eater so it will likely take a week or two to settle. Thank you

I have had names on my notes for years but now I'm leaning more towards old fashioned names. Easier to shortlist girl names at the minute. We honestly don't mind about gender, as long as he or she is healthy. ❤️ thank you so much. Still doesn't feel real. It also feels like December is a life time away 🤣

Oh that's lovely news! It's the most beautiful thing! Although I had HORRIBLE carpel tunnel, I would re-live every moment again to experience all those exciting moments from pregnancy to birth. Good luck OP xx

Roxyroxy11 · 02/04/2023 00:44

Thank you. It is going to be a journey!!❤️

Congratulations OP Flowers

That doesn't look like bloat, it just looks like a stomach.

Don't worry about your pupils as you won't be stood like that, pushing your stomach out and holding your hand under it.

Enjoy your pregnancy and good luck with it all.

shieldmaiden7 · 02/04/2023 01:03

Congratulations op!!

No idea about the bloat, I'm 11+3 and it's slowly starting to ease up. I hope the rest of your pregnancy is smooth sailing for you Flowers

Mumma · 02/04/2023 01:36

Is this your first? With my second i started showing at 7 weeks so much i couldn't hide it! X congrats

whatchagonnado · 02/04/2023 01:36

Congratulations! Hope all goes well. It might be a good idea to get past the 12 week marker before getting too excited (sorry, from experience).

worryingalot · 02/04/2023 02:15

Congratulations

Softsoftsleep · 02/04/2023 02:23

With my third, my tummy popped out before I even knew I was pregnant and I found out early! Came home from work and told my husband that everyone had been looking at my tummy in work that day. Found out a few days later and that was around 4 weeks. By 6 weeks I had to stop wearing certain clothes as my tummy was sticking out so much. It's a very exciting time!

Pbubz · 02/04/2023 02:34

@Roxyroxy11 congratulations! How exciting 😄

Also snap! I just found out and am 4 weeks exactly, roll on December babies! I'm nervous but chuffed, came off BC in November so similar time line 🥰 also, I think your belly looks fine, you're obviously a slender person, I'd the bloat doesn't go down maybe you could wear more loose fitting blouses for a bit?

Roxyroxy11 · 02/04/2023 06:55

Haha yes your right 😄

Congratulations OP. I am long past having babies now but saw this thread on Active Convos.

Enjoy all your symptoms and the bloating (and your bump in good time). 🎉😃

LolaGarden · 02/04/2023 07:01

Congrats ☺️☺️ My bloat didn’t really go away, it just morphed into bump over time! But I am quite a bloaty person anyway, floaty clothes are the way to go. Enjoy!
