If your 1st was born late/overdue, when did your 2nd arrive?

My first was born at 41+1.

I'm currently 37w and just curious I suppose. I'm already fed up with being pregnant and the thought of potentially another 4 weeks fills me with dread!

So if your first DC was overdue/late, when did your second DC arrive?

1st - 40+2
2nd - 39+1

1st 40+4
2nd 39+5

First child two weeks late
Second child two weeks early.

Just about sums up their personalities from there on into adulthood.

First 40 + 2
Second 40 + 1
Third 38 + 6

1st 40+5
2nd 40+8

1 - 42wks induced
2 - 41+3 spontaneous
3 - 42wks induced
4 - 40wks induced due to size (despite being 9lb5 at 40wks my body was nowhere near ready and so I think he would have gone another few weeks)
5 - 41wks induced due to age. This one I was contracting whilst I waited on the ward to be induced but whether it would have come to anything had I stayed at home I don't know.

I think most 2nd come a bit sooner though. I hated the last few weeks, I told people a later date with my last 2.

DC1 - 42 weeks
DC3 - 37+4

Sorry to say, but 40+2 both times

Both about 10 days late. Runs in the family as was expected.

First born at 41 weeks and 6 days.
Second waters broke at 38.5 weeks, then had to be induced as labour hadn't started, so born just shy of 39 weeks.

1st 40+7 (but 40+2 by my own dates)
2nd 40+4

Only 14 months between them and I had read that this meant there was a good chance #2 would be early. More fool me, it was a long 3+ weeks thinking they'd arrive any day!

Spontaneous labour (but waters were broken just before giving birth) with all 3DC. DC 1&2 full siblings 10 years apart 3 days over due date. DC3 40+13.

1st - 42 weeks
2nd -41+3
3rd -42 weeks
My mum was late with all of us as well.

First born, eight days late.

second born, eight days late (but a very very easy labour).

1st child- 11 days overdue
2nd child- 13 days overdue
3rd child- 15 days overdue

No, we are not having any more!! Each time I was convinced they wouldn’t be late, I’ve never been late for anything in my life so I found it really frustrating and inconvenient waiting the extra time!!

First 39+5
Second 40+4

Mine were both born at 41+1

40+5 both times

First 7 days late. Second 7 days early. Both born on Sunday one at 12am one at 12pm. Weird

I got so frustrated last time with everyone asking if baby had arrived that I deliberately haven't told anyone my actual due date this time 😆 "when is baby due?" "Urm.....April"

My mum was early with us all, my sisters have all had their babies around the 38w mark too so they were all expecting me to be early last time. And theirs were all quick labours (mine was 30hrs). I am clearly the black sheep in our family!

I searched the exact same question when I was roughly 37 weeks with 2nd! I think you are likely to carry for as long as you first as that’s just the way your body is!
