If your 1st was born late/overdue, when did your 2nd arrive?

My first was born at 41+1.

I'm currently 37w and just curious I suppose. I'm already fed up with being pregnant and the thought of potentially another 4 weeks fills me with dread!

So if your first DC was overdue/late, when did your second DC arrive?

@Teapleasemilknosugar my mum was early with hers too. I expected early, small babies and had late whoppers.

The women on my dad's side have late big, stubborn babies, I guess I take after them.

2nd born on due date!
3rd 40+4days
4th a late baby

2nd baby (the one born on her due date) is my only girl. She is still on time/early to everything 😂

1st 39+3
2nd 41 weeks

1st was 6 days over
2nd was 10 days over - I was sure she would come earlier, I was so fed up! Lol!

1 induced at 42 +2
2 arrived spontaneously on edd

1st - 2 days early
2nd - 2 weeks late.
my other four were all two weeks early as C sec

1st 40+10 (induced)
2nd 40+3 (spontaneous)

Dc1 41+3
Dc2 41+6
Dc3 40 - was so surprised when my waters broke at 39+6!

First 42
Second 37+1

Second 37+2 very obligingly after a persuasive sweep! Like PP said though he wasn't fully cooked and was a bit quiet and jaundiced to start off with

Firstborn was 2 weeks over. Second was on his due date. I was well into my 40's with him and was told they wouldn't let me go over but as it happens he came naturally on his due date without intervention.

1st - 41+6
2nd - 39+5
3rd - 39+2

First 41 (spontaneous)
Second 41+1 (induced)

My friend had her first at 37 weeks then her second at 40+2. Can't remember when her 3rd came. Basically there's no rhyme or reason to it sometimes!

Honestly it feels incredibly unfair at the time, but in a few years it’ll just be a birthday a week or two later. Just try to keep busy and stay sane, and it’ll happen when it happens.

For me I didn’t want to be induced so I prepared as well as I could for that discussion, and was glad I did as my 3rd was 15 days late and they ‘allowed’ me to hang on a bit longer and still deliver on the midwife led unit where I felt most comfortable.

1st 40+1
2nd 41+6
3rd 40+3 (induced )

First induced at 42
second spontaneous at 41
labour was half the time with DD2..

All of mine were late. First was 2 weeks late (induced) 2nd was induced 12 days late, 3rd was spontaneous but after 2 sweeps, 9 days late, 4th I didn't even learn the EDD honestly, so think he was 8/9 days late- at least the week. No sweep needed though, was already 3-4cm dilated when I went for that appt and went into labour at teatime properly.

3rd baby 3 days late but induced so I expect even further if I wasn't induced
