I’m 37+4 today and woke feeling so fed up nothing has happened yet. This is my first pregnancy so I understand the likelihood of me going past my due date. I’m just so uncomfortable, waking at every ache and pain hoping that it’s something. I keep being told I shouldn’t wish these last few weeks away as I really haven’t enjoyed pregnancy due to HG and now heightened anxiety about movements this late into the pregnancy not wanting anything to go wrong. I just wish my little girl here and beyond jealous of those who have welcomed the little angels! Sorry to rant ☹️

I know I’m only 39+3 and could still have a way to go but all I’ve done today from I’ve woken up is cry because I’m still pregnant and fed up. I was literally crying in my dream and woke up in floods of tears and since then have cried about 5 times into my cereal😂😂😂 every day feels like a month

@firstlittleone exactly. And after being told yesterday I'm not dilated AT ALL has just made me feel worse and now I'm convinced I’ll be pregnant forever

Also 37+4, sick of being in pain, hating pregnancy and super jealous of everyone else who's babies are already here.
I think we will be one and done, not sure I can handle pregnancy again 😫

Also fed up. Due date is today and I was really hoping not to get this far. 😖
That said, from a practicality POV it would be better to wait until after the snow is gone so that we can get someone to look after DC and DH able to go in with me.

I've got the Amazon 3 pack of Velcro swaddles as they were cheap and I wanted something as an alternative to sleeping bags in case the neck hole was initially too large for baby.

I totally can relate to everyone that's playing the waiting game. 40+1 today, but the hospital should ring me today with a date for induction. Having that definite point of going to the hospital to come home with a baby will hopefully put me at ease.

All you ladies still pregnant, I totally feel your pain! I’m 41+2 today and I honestly am at the end of my tether! Don’t know what to do with myself 😩 just waiting on a home visit from midwife for my second and last sweep, she’ll be booking me in for an induction too as 12 days over will be Monday.
I feel so deflated that I’ve got to this point where an induction is needed because I’ve done everything in my power to prep my body. I’ve done the raspberry leaf tea, birthing ball, dates….you name it, I’ve done it!

thank you ladies, I know I’m not feeling like this alone is a boost in itself. You’re all amazing and I’m sure all of these feelings and tears will be more than worth it 💜

Did the midwife told you to do those things?

Mine said the only things with any scientific backing at all were nipple stimulation, sex, and walking.

@Clarps84 I feel your pain! I am 41 weeks today and going a bit crazy. I feel like this baby is never going to come out and I'm going to be pregnant forever! I had an attempted sweep yesterday but the midwife couldn't do it properly because my cervix is too far back. I seem to be having more Braxton Hicks this morning and vaguely hoping it's the start of something but I don't want to get my hopes up! Got an induction booked for next Wednesday (when I will also be 12 days over) but praying I don't need it...

Last day at work today! Yay! I do really wish I was going to have a bit of annual leave before like planned but hasn't worked out that way although does mean I have 25 day's annual leave left to take after mat leave which will be super handy!

40+2 today and still no baby, also feeling so deflated and tired of being pregnant, which is making me feel even sadder! Had a sweep at 40 weeks that led to some irregular contractions that evening but they’d fizzled out by the time I got out of bed the next morning. Induction set for Sunday morning and I was really hoping I wouldn’t get to that, but very much looking like I will 😞 hang in there mummas, we’ve got this 💪🏼

@havananana no, the midwife didn’t say to do those things. She’s said the usual things, sex, walking etc. I’ve just tried those other things because I felt like I had nothing to loose as long as I was not starting anything too early to induce labour.

@pamplemousse19 she just said that there has been no progress with my cervix since my sweep on Tuesday - still just 1cm dilated. She’s booked me in for my induction on Monday at 2pm.

i have to say that this forum has been so helpful and knowing that all you ladies going through the same things has been a massive comfort 😊

Just been to community midwife, baby’s heart was a little high but came down again, she’s told me to ‘keep an eye on movements’ so now I’m going to be panicking every time they dip off a bit!

But all fine otherwise, bump thankfully hasn’t grown much since last appointment so hoping his weight gain is evening out - will find out at the scan on Tuesday…

Back on Tuesday and Thursday for sweeps which at 36 weeks is going to be a shot in the dark but 🤷🏼‍♀️ Willing to give it a go.

Will keep going with dates, raspberry leaf tea and expressing but there’s no way we will be having sex 😂 DH will not go near me when I’m pregnant, nor do I want him to!

Off to town to buy another bottle of Lactulose and track down some clary sage for my bath (worth a go right) and also lavender oil and chamomile teabags for my post-birth soak. Really recommend it to any ladies with episiotomies, it worked like magic last time - 5 drops of lavender oil and a chamomile teabag in a warm bath, soak your bits for 10 minutes then air dry.

Turns out I might get my induction date at the start of next week, but at least I know it's for sure by the end of next week

How does one cut open a full pineapple and eat it😂

Gone from 0-100 reeeaaal quick after my rant the other day…. Went in for monitoring appointment this morning and got told officially finally they want to induce. Gave me a sweep there and then and booked me in for the next available induction, tomorrow morning 😳😳

@Rainbowbaby23 just search and articles with pics or videos will help! I had no idea how you were meant to cut one either 😆only learnt recently! I’ve got one in my fruit bowl now for obvious purposes and tins I stock up on when I can!! I love pineapple!
