I can't rememeber who's baby was back to back but does anyone else who's baby is back to back get a lot of discomfort base of spine ( Paracetemol needed) and full pressure below- Im 36 + 3 now (induction hopefully in week!) Ive woken up at 4am today feeling crampy, back ache and pressured.

June628 · 04/03/2023 07:39

Thank you 😊 all rather shocking, was in the hospital 10 mins before she came out. If we’d left home any later she would have been born in the car 😂

havananana · 04/03/2023 08:58

Congratulations @June628 ! 🌸❤️

AK93 · 04/03/2023 09:03

@June628 Congratulations! Was your labour quick in general or just the getting her out bit?

It takes about ten minutes just to get from the hospital entrance to the delivery ward at my hospital (well, when walking hurts so you have to go slow) and have to get in a lift! I've wondered why the antenatal appts are on the same floor as main entrance probably not even 2 minutes around the corner but somebody in labour has to walk or be wheeled what feels like 2 long corridors then get in a lift where you can't guarantee it being empty or you know that fear of lift breaking while you're in it! 😆

Dreamingof3 · 04/03/2023 09:06

Congratulations @June628 lots of these babies seem to be in a hurry!

@Cats23 mine is back to back according to last scan, I've got so much lower back pain. My first baby was back to back and my contractions were only painful in my back!

havananana · 04/03/2023 09:10

Was nice to see the Ovedue post and comments this morning in the Facebook Group.
From this list here it seems the majority have their babies before due date, which can be worrying for FTM that are still waiting

June628 · 04/03/2023 09:24

@AK93 waters broke at 3:45pm, contractions started at 5ish and we started going to the hospital around 8 when they were around 4.5mins apart so it all happened very quickly from then on. I was set on an epidural etc but didn’t have time for anything but gas & air which I didn’t find very helpful.

I was surprised she was early (due 8th, born on 3rd) but she’s my 2nd so maybe why things went so quickly. I was convinced I’d go overdue to be honest!

Moonicorn · 04/03/2023 10:59

Congrats @June628 💕

Hoe can you tell the difference between normal pregnancy swelling and PE?
my hands and feet have noticeably swollen and feel stiff this morning. Have been resting, not up and about on my feet or anything. No headache today but had a bad headache yesterday

Rainbowbaby23 · 04/03/2023 12:37

How*🙈

I called MAC about this an they said that PE swelling would be together with migraine headache that doesn't go away with Paracetamol or with vision problems (seeing dots, double, etc.)

Rainbowbaby23 · 04/03/2023 14:47

Ive tried go call my assessment unit for the past 2 hours but no answer

Room4onemore · 04/03/2023 15:00

Having lots of movements today, still where they was so I’ll be surprised if she has turned. I’m guessing if they manage to turn her and can’t break my waters that I will be given the pessary but I need to double check when I go in so I know what’s happening

Dreamingof3 · 04/03/2023 15:02

Been for 1.5hr walk in the woods today 😅 lots of mucassy discharge (sorry haha) but just hoping I can get to a point where they can at least attempt a sweep when I go in about 10 days

havananana · 04/03/2023 15:51

We are doing a deep clean of the house today, and installed the 360 car seat base.

I have put aside a "going to the hospital" outfit, in case my waters break and it's a mess and need to change 😄

However so far looks like baby girl is giving me another day to read books and watch Netflix ☺️😄

As we still have 4 days till the due date and the first stretch & sweep, I'm not yet worrying why she's not coming out, but trying to make the most of this free paid for time ☺️

Noodle20 · 04/03/2023 16:25

Baby girl arrived early hours of Friday morning, glad to be home, now the fun begins with a boisterous toddler and a newborn

havananana · 04/03/2023 16:34

Congrats @Noodle20 ! How did it go?

I had sudden swelling around week 35/36. Was quite alarming as it was hands, feet, ankles and legs up to the knee. It had been checked over due to scheduled midwife apt and protein being present in urine. However, assessment couldn’t find any other issues and over time it has subsided. Sometimes I would say rest has made swelling worse, it can be a fine art balancing rest and keeping active! Just keep an eye on any other signs of PE and obviously if you’re still concerned try and get seen or contact your midwife🤞🏻

Noodle20 · 04/03/2023 17:34

@havananana it was a difference experience to our lockdown baby but I'm glad I stuck to my guns of refusing the induction (had agreed to a due date induction if I hadn't on gone into labour spontaneously), was initially sent to triage for an assessment (I don't think they thought I was in active labour as they didn't actually examine me for a good 40mins) my waters then broke and it got abit dramatic but 30mins later she was here, all safe and sound.
Just goes to show, trust your body, I knew I could do it spontaneously

Rainbowbaby23 · 04/03/2023 18:12

Went to get seen as headache came back and swelling now in face. Protein in urine and BP was high but it’s came back down on its own so they aren't worried
