I thought I'd make this for anyone receiving their BFPs in the next few weeks!

Currently exactly 4 weeks. Still super early, especially after an early MC last time, but fingers crossed for a sticky bean this time!

@amybooth YES! I’m starving! All the time!

Otherwise I’m more tired than usual, and boobs bigger. Otherwise no other symptoms 🤞

Purrrrr · 10/02/2023 12:05

@amybooth Those are my exact symptoms too 😂 Although I can barely face any food. Im living off white toast and crunch nut cornflakes at the moment which isn’t ideal!

amybooth · 10/02/2023 12:05

@Beemug it's crazy, I wake up at 4am so hungry and I think surely I can't get up and eat at this time

amybooth · 10/02/2023 12:06

@Purrrrr I spend my days arguing with myself because I'm so hungry but nothing sounds nice, I'm listing meals and food to myself and nothing at all is appealing. I'm finding so hard to be motivated to cook due to this too😂

JJ2023 · 10/02/2023 12:32

@BambiBooBoo yeh it sounds likely to be implantation for sure! As brown is old blood, so probably just making it’s way out.

Thanks for the tip on self-referring too, I did it earlier this week (I’ll wait the two weeks they say and then after that if haven’t heard then I’ll call them).

Chanteuse · 10/02/2023 12:33

@amybooth I am the same! Absolutely starving to the point it makes me gag when I wake up.

and oh, the heartburn 🥲 I’ve had it every single day 😩

SillyOldBear3 · 10/02/2023 12:52

@Chanteuse starving and heartburn are my only symptoms too!

You ladies are well ahead of me when it comes to planning. I'm 4 weeks 2 days, this is my first pregnancy after a chemical so I'm still remaining cautiously optimistic! Due date is 22 Oct! I haven't self referred, think I might wait a couple of weeks..is this OK? I have no idea what the protocol is here in Wales.

We haven't told anyone yet either, again, I think I'll wait for a bit longer before we tell the parents. I'm also a bit scared that telling people suddenly makes it 'real'..tell me I'm not the only one 🤣

katherine123x · 10/02/2023 12:58

Hi @SillyOldBear3 ! I know what you mean, when I rang drs yesterday and said it allowed it felt crazy!! .. I've read lots of people saying how it can take long for the referral! How far did you get with your CP? If it makes you more at ease get past that date and call 💗

Phoenixwings1989 · 10/02/2023 13:19

Who do you ring in regards to ch cling the self refferal went through?

katherine123x · 10/02/2023 13:28

@Phoenixwings1989 mine had a phone number on it when I did the online form! Maybe go back to where you did the referral and see

amybooth · 10/02/2023 13:35

@Phoenixwings1989 my gp receptionist gave me a phone number to ring

Phoenixwings1989 · 10/02/2023 14:01

@katherine123x thanks. I've just been back to he referral page but can't see a number anywhere.

@amybooth thanks. I will give my GP surgery a ring.

AlongcameLainey · 10/02/2023 14:11

Ahh I didn’t even think about the hunger being related 😂 I thought I was just being greedy!

I am about to head over to the hospital for the early scan to rule out ectopic - feeling very nervous and shaky and got everything crossed for good news 🤞

katherine123x · 10/02/2023 14:15

@AlongcameLainey good luck!! Let us know the good news when you get back x

braxxen · 10/02/2023 14:24

@Phoenixwings1989
I self referred again today and rang them as well. Even though it says ten working days on website they've now told me it could be three weeks.

I'm really struggling to eat today and a few people at work have clocked it! Had to run out of a meeting to be sick. As I'm really struggling to drink anything, I'm trying sucking on ice cubes as someone recommended it!

Also feeling sad, as my friend who is a nurse, just messaged to say she'd been exposed to covid in surgery... I was really looking forward to seeing them tonight but don't think I can risk it.

braxxen · 10/02/2023 14:42

How is it even possible to feel hungry (stomach rumbling) then be sick moments seconds later? It's such a frustrating combination of symptoms

Bee1994 · 10/02/2023 15:29

Hi! I think I’m about 4 weeks 3 days. Feeling very anxious as I don’t really have any symptoms yet- just some cramping/pelvic pain and my boobs are sore on and off. I’ve got an early scan booked for the 2nd of March but that feels so far away!

SillyOldBear3 · 10/02/2023 15:40

@katherine123x my chemical last time was at exactly 5 weeks so hoping I pass that milestone this time. My tests are much darker than they were that time, so I hope that's a good sign!

I'll probably refer at 6 weeks, in all honesty I'd rather as little 'medical' intervention as possible so I'm not hugely worried if there's a little bit of a wait. I don't plan to get an early private scan either, going to wait 'til 12 weeks as long as all goes OK 🙂

Duv · 10/02/2023 15:44

I'm 4 weeks 4 days and also worried about lack of obviously symptoms. For about 5 days I've been feeling twinges in my womb which is the most definitive symptom, then yesterday had more painful cramps which worried me, though that's gone away and back to occasional mild twinge. Boobs only just started feeling a bit tender sometimes, but nothing feels very definitive. Not feeling fatigued or sick. If I didn't have a million tests in front of me I wouldn't be able to tell anything was different I think.

katherine123x · 10/02/2023 15:48

@SillyOldBear3 fingers crossed for you!

SillyOldBear3 · 10/02/2023 16:35

@katherine123x thanks! 🥰 you too! Do you think you'll for for a private scan?

@Duv Don't get stressed about lack of symptoms, I'm 4+3 and also feeling pretty normal. Like you, I have slight twinges, and I also have heartburn and feeling hungry. But these are all things I could easily experience anyway so without the tests I'd have no idea! The only things that's different for me is the lack of sore boobs that I normally have during AF. They're not tender at all!

katherine123x · 10/02/2023 16:41

@SillyOldBear3 I think so. I think the anxiety will beat me!! Tbh how bloated I am now you'd think I was 5 months pregnant! 😂

braxxen · 10/02/2023 17:01

@Duv My first symptoms at 4 weeks were just twinges and cramping. I thought it was my period coming and wore pads out! I didn't find out I was pregnant until 4 1/2 weeks and the twinges continues throughout week 5. I didn't start to feel sick or go off food (I can only eat white bread ATM) until 5 1/2 weeks. Don't worry about lack of symptoms - everyone is different!

AlongcameLainey · 10/02/2023 17:36

Thank you @katherine123x

So basically I am classed as a pregnancy of unknown location as it is too early to locate anything on the ultrasound. Took blood tests to check hcg levels and got to go back on Sunday morning for more blood tests to check if hcg is doubling as it should. I should get a call with the results Sunday evening.

Whether the results are good or bad they will schedule a rescan at a later date but they did confirm the endometrium is thickened exactly as it should which is a good sign.

They advised I am now under the care of the EPU so they will keep testing and scanning until there is confirmation either way x

Flying12 · 10/02/2023 18:04

Hi everyone. I’m 6+1 with our first. Found out two weeks ago now but to be honest I’m terrified of having a missed miscarriage or going through an ectopic pregnancy. It’s literally all I can think about! I know I can’t change the result and going to book an early scan for around 8 1/2 weeks but any tips on how to not worry and Google every symptom possible?
