Hey guys,

so recently I’ve been having some problems with my ear, cut a long story short the doctor has proscribed me Otomize ear spray, now I have used this before I was pregnant and I remember the doctor and chemist both asking if I was pregnant, which back then was obviously no.

the doctors have now proscribed me this again (I haven’t actually seen or spoken to a doctor it was an online form I filled in) the chemist is saying I can’t take it because of pregnancy, so I called the doctors back who are saying I can take it.. so just a little confused whether I should take it or not..

has anyone used this spray whilst pregnant and has any experience with it?

thank you!

I'm not an expert but as I understand it, otomize contains a chemical that can be harmful to the baby which is why otomize give a warning about it. But doctors say that it is a minimal amount sprayed in the ear and the absorption is negligible so therefore safe, especially as it usually heals up the infection very quickly.
