Can you tell gender from 20 week scan photo?

I had my 20 week scan yday and we couldn't find out due to awkward position but I want to know if anyone thinks you can tell from the scan photo - skull perhaps? Also baby is only on 25th percentile.. is that more common with girls v boys?

The skull would make me guess boy but I don't think there's any way of knowing without seeing the important bits! I do think having a suprise is lovely though ♥️

If it's wearing a skirt and high heels it identifies as a girl

Why? To achieve what exactly? The baby will be a boy or a girl. It isn’t going to come out questioning that.

I could tell I was having a girl by the three lines (“hamburger”🤣) in the genital region but if you can’t see that, I don’t think skull is an accurate predictor. There was something I read about the angle of the pubic bone that could tell you if it was a boy or a girl…hang on I’ll try and find it!

Nub theory: pointing up= boy and down = girl. Not sure if you can see the nub on yours but the bit that could be the nub is pointing down, so I think girl!

And I wasn't meaning harm by saying gender I'm delighted whoever they turn out to be. I'm talking about whether they will be born with a penis or a vagina.

We should use the words gender and sex correctly. Just like we should use vagina and vulva correctly. They are not interchangeable. Words are important.
