So with my first I ‘knew’ he was a boy & I was right!
now pregnant again I ‘think’ it’s a boy but don’t have a strong feeling… did you all have a gut feeling & were you right??

No! Wrong both times!!

Pollywoddles · 09/01/2023 20:51

No. Previous pregnancy had been a boy so was sure it was another boy but no, girl!

AnyRandomName · 09/01/2023 20:52

Yes, I was absolutely convinced my eldest was a boy. Would have bet my mortgage on it. And everyone I saw thought the same.

I was wrong, girl. Smile

There’s no such thing as “just knowing”

But you have a 50% chance your guess will be correct anyway

Had a feeling both were girls, first one was but second was a boy

Coolprincess · 09/01/2023 20:55

As soon as I found out I was pregnant (first pregnancy) I also knew in my gut it was a boy. Just a feeling! And I was also right! 😃

Sprinklerainbows · 09/01/2023 20:57

I was wrong both times 🤣

Whyisitdarkalready · 09/01/2023 20:58

Yeah both times I just 'knew'. Before I had my first I had always imagined I'd have a girl, never considered a boy. But once pregnant, I only ever pictured having a boy. I was right. My second, I could just tell that I was having a girl. It was a really strong feeling. I was right!

YouBoggleMyMind · 09/01/2023 20:58

Yes, thought boy for my first and had we not found out this time round, I would have thought girl anyway as I felt totally different.

Sprinklerainbows · 09/01/2023 21:04

I was wrong both times 🤣

BabyB2023 · 09/01/2023 21:12

Ooh ok so quite mixed! I’d really love a girl & also would be a big shock (a nice one) to be told that at the scan but I’m fairly confident it’s another boy😅which will be amazing for my son :)

@Pollywoddles were your ‘symptoms’ all the same both times? X

The same as in I didn’t really have any! I was convinced it was another boy.

BabyB2023 · 09/01/2023 21:16

@Pollywoddles exactly the same here! My husband is one of four though, 3 boys & then a girl so I feel like we’re destined for two boys 😈

No! Wrong both times!!

BabyB2023 · 09/01/2023 22:01

@stopeatingchocolate haha was it just a gut instinct or based on different symptoms/cravings? I’ve not really had any symptoms in either other than a tiny bit of nausea early on & heartburn.. not even a craving which is a bit boring isn’t it!

I absolutely knew he was a boy. When I caught him (dramatic, I know), I didn't even think to look. About 15mins later when the fuzziness passed and the shock of what had just happened, I heard DH saying "him". We both just felt it. Even though I'd dreamt twice that I have a daughter. Maybe in the future..

Dyra · 09/01/2023 22:35

Technically yes.

My first I had a gut feeling they were a boy right up until ~32 weeks. Then I literally woke up one morning knowing I was having a girl. Baby was indeed a girl.

Second I knew from the start I was having a boy, and never once wavered. He was a boy.

LovelyBitOfSquirrelll · 09/01/2023 22:47

First baby- DH and I were convinced it was a boy throughout pregnancy……it was a girl!

Second baby- I felt different, I was more “fed up” than my first in the later stages, but wasn’t sure of the sex. When I went overdue I just had a feeling it was a boy. I was right!

We didn’t find out with either and just loved having the surprise at the birth!

Mrsweasleysclock · 09/01/2023 22:48

Yes correct both times.

MammaWeasel · 09/01/2023 22:51

Yes, I was right both times

OnNaturesCourse · 09/01/2023 23:27

With my first I knew from about 6 weeks. Just a really strong feeling that didn't budge. I was right.

With my second I didn't have the same gut feeling so I felt it was the opposite from my first. I was right again.
