So with my first I ‘knew’ he was a boy & I was right!
now pregnant again I ‘think’ it’s a boy but don’t have a strong feeling… did you all have a gut feeling & were you right??

I was convinced it was a girl, but it was a boy.

whatwhhat · 10/01/2023 00:24

I was wrong every time (felt certain as well🫠). I also notoriously get friends wrong as well. I have no intuition

Season0fTheWitch · 10/01/2023 00:31

Yes, I correctly guessed that all 4 would be girls. I think we'll have a boy next, never thought that with the others!

Judgyjudgy · 10/01/2023 00:33

Yep, me and DH both thought it was a boy quite early on about 6 weeks. And it was! 🤗

Holly03 · 10/01/2023 00:36

Yes as soon as I found out with my first knew he was a boy and before I found out i was pregnant (had an idea I was) knew it was a girl and bought girls items at 8 weeks

womblesofwimbledon5 · 10/01/2023 00:42

I guessed right every time and got what I wanted every time too I was very lucky. I never found out till the birth all 4 times

ChangingTheChannel · 10/01/2023 00:49

I had a strong feeling our first was a boy and he was. But I had a 50% chance of being right so it doesn’t really mean much. 😂
I didn’t have a feeling either way with our second.

Coffeeandcrocs · 10/01/2023 04:06

Yes, with all 3 of mine!

SmokeyPaprika · 10/01/2023 05:49

I think if people get what they hope for eg a boy then they 'knew' what they were having. If they don't get what they hope for they don't talk aout it.

Outtasteamandluck · 10/01/2023 07:30

Yes.

mrsgtobe97 · 10/01/2023 08:06

Yes. We didn't find out the gender but all throughout my pregnancy everyone expected a boy, but when we were picking out our boy names none of them sat right with me and I had a niggling gut feeling it was a girl.

I gave birth to my daughter on 4th January 😊

Yes, there's probably alot of truth in this too

BabyB2023 · 10/01/2023 12:02

@Holly03 what made you so sure on girl the second time? Was your pregnancy a lot different? X

BabyB2023 · 10/01/2023 12:05

@mrsgtobe97 aw congratulations💕
I’m kind of going through the same.. I don’t LOVE any of the boys names I have now, so I guess this is the only thing swaying me.. other than that I’m convinced it’s another boy 😬 xx

I just knew he was a boy. 100% certain. This was in the days when they wouldn't tell you before birth.

I was wrong. She was a girl.

Yes the symptoms prior to my missed period. Rhesus negative so I always get really strong symptoms the week prior to missing my period. With son it was weird migraine type headaches and with my daughter I had this travel sickness feeling and also awful acid reflux (she had acid reflux as a baby too, so did I and so did my cousins baby).

babybrainfart · 10/01/2023 13:21

Guessed first was girl and was correct, guessed second was a boy and was correct. Currently pregnant with number 3 and I think it's a girl. I'll know in 4 weeks.

Kladebs · 10/01/2023 14:55

4 times my gut feeling was wrong 😂
I was half right this time, I thought 2 girls and I'm having a boy and a girl, so it counts haha x

BabyB2023 · 10/01/2023 15:12

@Kladebs haha absolutely! Xx

My first I thought girl and was right. Second I didn't really know. My third I was adamant from that first pregnancy test boy and he was and then with my fourth I was also convinced boy and she was a girl!

My fourth was an emergency section under general because of the urgency and my husband wasn't allowed in, we were both convinced boy and they brought baby up to him wrapped in a blanket with a blue hat. He was so relieved that baby was alive and well he sent a message out saying baby boy was here safe and well... Then the midwife suggested he check and explained they'd only had a blue hat in theatre 😂

This time around I'm swaying girl just because 3/4 of mine are girls and I'm sicker than I was with my first (although that may be my thyroid).

BabyB2023 · 10/01/2023 22:04

@PumpkinDart so you’ve not done bad with the guessing then :D
I just have such a strong boy feeling again but I’m trying to ignore it as want a surprise, even if I am finding out before birth😬
love the story that he txt everyone saying it’s a boy🤣 you think they may have told him to look before if she was in a blue blanket though haha. Glad she arrived safely💕 xx

I would have put money on my first being a boy but she was a girl! Currently pregnant again and I tentatively thought I'd have another girl this time and I was right!

rickandmorts · 10/01/2023 22:18

I was so convinced I was having a boy, only bought 'boy' clothes and didn't even entertain the thought of having a girl. Currently cuddling 5 week old DD 😂. Was so shocked when she popped out! Everyone thinks she's a boy anyway as she's always wearing green or blue 🤣

uncomfortablydumb53 · 10/01/2023 22:58

Yes, all 3!
My bumps were the same shape each time

firsttimelondonmummy · 10/01/2023 23:05

Yep and he’s the first boy in 3 generations on my mums side.
I knew it from probably week 6/7 😂
