If DH/partner has more brothers/sisters…

did you have boys/girls, both?
my husband is is the eldest of four (3 boys & then a girl)
we have one son & I am pregnant with DC2😍
I just want to know if your husband/partner has more brothers/sisters did your children ‘follow suit’? I feel we’ll have another boy & we’ll be happy to but a girl would be lovely.. just feels impossible which is weird…

My husbands parents had … in this order
Boy
Girl

we then had… in this order

Boy

@Goosefatroasts wow that’s impressive! I’d love more than 2 but DH doesn’t so doubt we’ll be testing the theory further than 2!
One of his brothers has two girls so it’s not like they don’t exist.. I just feel all the boys are coming this way & have this weird thing in my head because he was the first son he’ll have all the boys😂
I’m aware I’ve made this ‘science’ up haha. 3 weeks until I find out if my gut feeling is right! Did you have a gut feeling with all of yours?

My dh had a sibling of both sexes. We had two boys.

My DH has 2 sisters but we have 2 boys. We lost 2 babies though so who knows what they were.

& I guess the science you’re more likely to have boys if your DH has brothers & vice versa isn’t always true. I think another boy will be really special for my son. I’m excited to find out either way xx

My DH is one of 3 boys
I have 1 sister and 2 brothers

We have 1 girl and 2 boys and I’m pregnant again now but we don’t know the sex.

DH’s mum is one of four girls.

DH is one of four boys.

We had DD. Next three children in the generation were girls. Then along came 3 boys.

My DP has two brothers, we had two girls together so no. I have one brother, no sisters. I have 3 girls in total, a DD from previous relationship. Her father has 3 brothers, two sisters, and all his siblings have boys only. DD was the 11th grandchild and first and only girl.

This information can be more easily found looking at family trees, I’d have thought? Although they won’t always show babies that didn’t make it. My great aunt is always missed off family trees even though she was born alive and died at 2 weeks. My own family tree wouldn’t show my DC who weren’t born alive as they weren’t old enough for birth certificates so they will be lost to history.

I believe it’s a 105 ratio on average so 105 boys born to every 100 girls, live births.

My DH is one of two boys, his brother had two boys, we had a girl. I’m pregnant again but too early to know the sex.

ExH has (in ageorder) one half sister, two half brothers, (all three are 20+ years older and he doesn’t really have much of a relationship with them) himself, one brother.

We have three daughters Grin I am one of three daughters, for reference.

My husband has a sister. My husband dad had 2 brothers and a sister. Weirdly all the children (5 of them) of his father's siblings first child was a boy. The second was a daughter apart from us and we have two boys. My family are all girls apart from my half brother so I think everyone assumed I would have girls too!

Me and my sisters came after Great Grandmother had 1 boy (Grandad) who then had 3 boys (one died as a child), and my Uncle has 2 boys.
