Hi All
Just wondering if you can help me because my current Dr sent me for a 13 week scan (confirmed pregnancy, the tech sono was not usually able to comment to concentrate then the tech receives the image, then Dr reports on the outcome.

So, the process I have confirmed with the Company I've been getting scans from. The GP then told me the Techs at the imaging place do the report so we are all scratching our heads.
Im left questioning the process now.
About Me

  • I'm now showing a promiment nice bump at 20 to 22 weeks.
  • All my pathology is great.
  • Have a retroverted uterus which may now be in position
  • A very strong history of multiples 2's and 3's in my maternal family, my Nan had 2 sets of twins of 9 children.
  • Am only guessing dates from June/July, LMP last week June & absintent SINCE July 28th.
  • Strong exaggerated pregnancy symptoms (off the charts HCg levels)
  • Had a pregnancy in Jan this yr resulting in a loss in March so I know pregnancy symptoms.

My question is
can anyone make out what is in this image, is it a potty shot, maybe multiples or can make of what this is as something is growing 🤔.

Someone suggested potty shot & outlined but what is the rest. My eyes are starting
to cross I enhanced the image, also have FHR averages 141 ish, strong whoosing placental sounds via doppler device.
Something is definitely growing but I cannot get a EDD as bub was sitting so far curled up behind. I can't get a 2nd opinion until 3 weeks to a specialist & don't want to be missing out on ante natal care especially this far due to my loss this year.
Everyone says get a 2nd opinion but I'm in waiting line like others to see a specialist not a private patient.
The scan indicates bones or a femur would anyone agree and we have rules out endometrium only.
This is absolutely crazy. I want to enjoy this journey now my severe morning sickness has eased & afraid I will end up in denial resulting in Post Natal Depression. I just am open for ideas or another set of eyes
please🙏

Attached are the scans taken on my dates being 13 weeks however could be further along TAKEN Mid November

Very much appreciated Xx

Surely if there was an issue, a sonographer or medic would have flagged it up.

BraveFaceScaredInside · 08/12/2022 17:07

The scan pics dont really look like baby pics to me, could they be pics of ovaries etc? Was the scan in hospital antenatal?

SunshineClouds1 · 08/12/2022 17:14

Don't look like a scan of a baby.

Have you had your NHS scan?

overthinkersanonnymus · 08/12/2022 17:15

I don't understand the question 🤦🏻‍♀️

FlamingoBabe · 08/12/2022 18:30

Are you in the UK? I’m so confused by your post! Have you not had your dating scan or seen a midwife?

Aliceinwonderland5 · 08/12/2022 19:54

Hi OP. I've seen some of your other posts. Has it now been confirmed by your doctor that you are definitely pregnant?

Regenbogen22 · 08/12/2022 19:57

I'm so confused. 🤔

Hugasauras · 08/12/2022 20:03

You're 20 weeks but have no scan pics showing an actual baby? This all sounds v weird Confused Are you in the UK?

Hugasauras · 08/12/2022 20:05

Reading again, you have paid for private scans but they haven't been able to show you a baby or give you an EDD? Something v odd is going on.

WishIhadacrystalball · 08/12/2022 20:10

It doesn’t look like any baby scan I’ve ever seen. Have they confirmed that you are in fact pregnant and if not what are they intending to do next? Surely if they haven’t confirmed it they would be taking steps to see what is causing all the symptoms and your hcg levels to be so high?

Got2besoon · 08/12/2022 20:15

Have you seen a scan of a baby with a heartbeat?

Any chance this is a molar pregnant?

Got2besoon · 08/12/2022 20:15

*molar pregnancy

Thanks for your help and eyes I hope I am replying to everyone
I am confirmed pregnant but they seem to be of the opinion we can't get a good look at bub being I have a retroverted or tilted uterus which bub may be hiding tucked further away towards my spine given the back ache and pressure.
These scans I have added are from a 12 week scan. I am now growing and have a prominent bump can't get my pants over my bump I need full ones now aha, so we're counting 20 weeks as we couldn't catch the image with the uterus curled around to back we couldn't even get a EDD glimpse, if anything it would be bum down. This might make sense but I seriously don't know what is what but my ovaries I have different images of and liver and spleen and they are all fine working and cyst free. I don't even know what the blue marks indicating some type of temp or flow are or mean. My sono is silent and I'm in Aus. The scan clinic I attend told me they aren't able to make comment it has to be read by my Dr. which I find strange as there has to be a trained and qualified technician who gives a report and goes over the images. I can upload more I anyone is keen to help. This is the original images

Wow I've never heard of anything like this. I hope you find some proper answers soon

WishIhadacrystalball · 08/12/2022 22:07

I honestly couldn’t see anything and now don’t know if my eyes are playing tricks but when I turned my phone thought I saw this. I have a tilted uterus and still had clear scans it’s very strange and I’d be pretty annoyed with them not sharing any info and doing so quickly.

raffle · 08/12/2022 22:10

I see the face the same as PP

abbs1 · 08/12/2022 22:15

I had a tilted back uterus with both my babies but with tull bladder for scans baby could be seen well from 12 weeks onwards. I hope you get some more help and answers soon op.

BraveFaceScaredInside · 08/12/2022 22:15

So the scan wasn't a specific pregnancy scan? If that's the case that's probably why they wouldn't make any comments.

By 12 weeks even most tilted/inverted uterus's are big enough to be able to get a reasonable view of baby.

Could you pay for a private scan at a baby clinic? I'm from the UK so not up to date with how things work in Aus.

Are you in the maternity care system?

overwork · 08/12/2022 22:56

It's not a face, those images are all of your uterus. There's no images of a pregnancy on any of those images. You really, really need to have a proper chat with your doctor, I think you're quite confused

ladydimitrescu · 08/12/2022 23:01

At 20 weeks they'd be able to see something somewhere - there are no signs of a baby in any of those photos. Are you confirmed 💯 pregnant?

Whataretheodds · 08/12/2022 23:15

It sounds as though you need to speak again to your doctor and clarify how and when a medical professional will explain to your the scan results, and/or when a follow up scan will be done.

Hugasauras · 08/12/2022 23:38

This sounds very dysfunctional. How can you get to 20 weeks and no one has been able to see a baby yet? None of those images look like a baby or anything like any of my scans.

Has anyone actually spoken to you to explain anything? Even with a tilted uterus, at 12 weeks they should have been able to see evidence of a pregnancy, surely?

MissBee02 · 09/12/2022 03:03

@BraveFaceScaredInside @Hugasauras @abbs1 @ladydimitrescu @overwork @raffle @Whataretheodds thankyou it has since been confirmed today AEST as my Dr finally liaised with the Practice manager Tech and as the lady has pointed out via a drawing marker, this is correct I am actually now 23 weeks and I did see the same thing but thought I was seeing things,as outlined. This was taken almost 4 weeks ago. My partner was a 13 pound bub and I was 10 pound on the dots. It was surprising to find out this was obvious and the size. I'm now only a little size 10 with 161cm height. Partner is solid frame in ethnicity and his most of the 15 other siblings weighed in around 11 to 14 pound except the rest not under 8.7pound. This is interesting and I did mention it was taken mid November thinking I was earlier than thought. This will be interesting and I have another scan to correlate EDD next week and further tests. Thankyou all so much 💓

But there is no baby on these pictures. You need to have a proper conversation with the doctors, and potentially access some mental health treatments because I think there may be a greater issue here than a (non) pregnancy.

overthinkersanonnymus · 09/12/2022 07:44

Op I'd be very concerned that if I had a protruding stomach, and images of my uterus with something in there, but I couldn't see any form of a baby.

If the "baby" was big enough to cause a bump, it'd be big enough to see on an ultrasound. The bones would be formed and clear.

Have you seen a gynecologist rather than just a GP?
