Thank you @greenerfingers

Those with newborns, how are you doing in regards to venturing outside?!

We haven't been for any walks because of the rain.

We did go for a Nando's and I was so stressed worrying she would wake up and we'd forgotten something for her! I'm exclusively formula feeding atm which I think makes it slightly more stressful that I can't just whip out a boob?! She has oral thrush from the antibiotics I've been put on 😞

Elle1709 · 26/11/2022 19:51

@Eryr22 baby girl is nearly 4 weeks old and I've only been out 2 or 3 times and always with other people, havent felt confident to go out alone yet. I'm really struggling with tiredness and anxiety so feel like just staying in the house most days

FishyBaby · 26/11/2022 21:27

I've already updated on the other thread (November 2022 babies thread 5).
Our little one arrived on 24th November, due 18th!

greenerfingers · 26/11/2022 22:19

Oh no are there two threads?! Whoops I better delete this one then. Can you attach the link for it @FishyBaby ? And congratulations on your little one. Did you end up getting induced or was it the sweep?

Congratulations @FishyBaby!

@greenerfingers, I think fishybaby got the last post in on the last thread. Thanks for starting this one!

@Eryr22, baby is just over 3 weeks old now and other than the hospital I've only been out once, to visit friends, dh was with me. I'm pretty minimalist with baby, nappy supplies and a blanket, especially if I'm not going far from home. If I'm in the car I'm even less worried as the capsule puts him to sleep! Formula would make the logistics a bit trickier! I haven't tried driving yet but I'm getting a bit stir crazy now. Have a couple of people planning to visit this week which I'm looking forward to.

Actually I was wrong, there is another thread! @greenerfingers www.mumsnet.com/talk/birth_clubs/4684146-november-2022-babies-thread-5

DoraDee · 05/12/2022 22:23

Hi ladies, I’ve name changed for this sorry but wanted to know if anyone had any advice or felt the same way 😳. I had a c section two weeks ago, my second, and am constantly worrying about internal scarring. My surgeon said that everything looked very good from my first section and this reassured me as I would like more children. However, this recovery has been so much harder than recovery from my first section and I’m constantly worrying whether anything I’ve done will have caused internal scarring e.g forgetting myself and jogging up the stairs today, when my scar gets a twinge, whether I’ve walked too far, whether I’ve caused harm internally by not doing pelvic floor exercises. The fear is exhausting. I keep being told my scar is healing really well and I shouldn’t worry about anything, that I’d really know about it if I’d done anything because I’d have to have ripped open internally for anything bigger than the normal scarring to have formed. This reassures me but only until the next day when I worry about something else causing it. Does anyone have any advice or feel similar? Thanks

MadamMaltesers · 06/12/2022 02:05

Hi @DoraDee I had my 2nd csec exactly 2 weeks ago and same as you everything was straightforward thankfully. I did worry about scarring from my 1st sec but fortunately it was minimal if any. Looks like yours went well too. Just take it easy these first few weeks and your recovery will be quicker, it's easy to think we can do certain things once we are off the pain relief, but it can take a while to heal internally. Try not to think too much about it.

DoraDee · 06/12/2022 04:49

Thanks @MadamMaltesers and congratulations on your second. I was worried before too but the surgeon said everything looked good, minimal scarring and she didn’t see an issue with me having another section in the future. I just can’t help but worry something I do now however little like forgetting myself and jogging up the stairs could have done harm.
