Linea Nigra- anyone else not got one? Just curious

The brown line that pg women often get from belly button to pube line (I think its where the muscles are separating under the skin?) hasn't appeared on me in either this pregnancy or the last one. Not bothered but just wondered whether I am a freak of nature

i have never had one, am now pg with 3rd (30 weeks) and still dont.

I've had mine since i was about 8 weeks pregnant. more noticeable from the top of the belly button upwards than belly button downwards though.

I didn't have one with DS - apparently it was because I was so pale - a lot of pale women don't get it.....

Ah-ha Puss that would make sense, when ds was born he had more colour than me. DH calls me the Tippex Kid

I got one in only two of four pregnancies, weird. Maybe related to overall sun exposure?

I have olive-y type skin and dark hair so that explains it for me too :-)

I'm 17 weeks pg and tum just looks very podgy. Like it did before I was pregnant basically!

Glad to hear that I'm not odd though for not having one.

Like Annieroo, I don't have one between pubes and belly button, but is very noticeable between belly button and sternum.

Only appeared at about 32 weeks, and still very much present 4 weeks after the birth

I've got a really obvious one at 25+3... I used to go tanning and on holiday a lot and I LOVED the sun.. so maybe that's why?? I havn't been in the sun once since pregnant though.

I get one in every pregnancy - mine has just appeared now at 32 weeks.

I have olive skin and dark hair too.

I had one with first pregnancy but not w. this one (am 39+3 so don't suppose it'll happen now). Have dark hair and olivish skin.

I didn't get one - I'm blonde-ish and pale skinned.

What I did get was a (still persistent) creeping of my ladygarden hair in a line up to my belly button.

Ah the joys...
