Maternity tights... where are the good ones!?

Hi -I am really struggling to find good maternity tights! Have some from seraphine and lindex but both fall down and cut into my bump. I am only 16.5 weeks so perhaps once the bump is better it'll hold them up more?
Looking for recommendations for comfy tights that don't fall down, don't ladder instantly and ideally (though not imperative) have a cotton gusset.

Thank you!

Boots do a great pair or maternity tights! I was really surprised how well they have worn and washed and kept their shape staying up well too.

Following!

I have to wear my Seraphine ones over my bra then they don’t fall down. Also, why are they so expensive! They aren’t that different to normal tights.

Snags!

Honestly, you'll never go back to another brand of tights. They'll fit you all through pregnancy and be perfect for wearing afterwards, too

PandaOrLion · 27/10/2022 12:38

I didn’t start wearing them till around 20 weeks but the best I got were from Amazon. It’s a brand that begins with an f - Fiore I think.

Boots!
A possibly H&M... The ones I bought from there in my first pregnancy were great, the ones I got during my second weren't. But they might be good again.

And the bigger your bump gets, the easier they stay up

drV · 27/10/2022 23:58

I recently got a pack of 2x mama tights from H&M at £14.99 ... They are excellent !! They stay up nicely and material is very soft.. feels warm enough for autumn, though I am not sure how warm they would be during winter, nonetheless they are a good investment!

Daisywithastory · 28/10/2022 00:36

Personally I’d advise buying larger normal tights than usual. I was about 32/33 weeks with twins by the time my H&M maternity tights stayed up!

Thanks everyone! Great to have a few tips :)

I actually bought some of John Lewis as they had rave reviews so hoping they're good, can update how they are :) if not good, will hit up H&M or Boots... good to know they stay up better once the bump is bigger. This is my second baby so bump is about the size I was at 25 weeks last time so fairly big already... but so far they just fall down!

Second vote here for Snag tights- ive been obsessed with them since before I was pregnant ans now im 30+wks with massive bump they still fit great and are so comfy!!

RambamThankyouMam · 28/10/2022 17:30

Better Tights are great.

I was put if Snag due to their marketing campaign of vile hairy blokes in fishnets. No thanks.

suzyscat · 28/10/2022 17:33

The only ones I found really comfortable were m&s but they're not robust

Nutrinerd · 28/10/2022 22:19

Boots. They’ve got a special offer on them at the moment so I’ve been back to buy more! Really comfy and so far wash well, no bobbling and the elastic has stayed good, sit comfortably over bump.

Love leggings do amazing maternity tights. I'm still wearing them one year post pregnancy!

Skylark1990 · 01/11/2022 09:07

Hello! Said I'd update on the John Lewis ones. They seem really good so far! Stay up well, v comfy. I did get a size up so went for large instead of medium (I'm about a size 12 and 170cm). I'd recommend them!

Thanks again everyone x

On the cheaper end, I've found Primark maternity tights to actually be very good and at £3.50 a pair I don't feel quite as horrendous when I catch them on something and rip them 😅I haven't had a pair ladder on me yet from normal use and they go all the way up to my ribs and stay in place. Seem to be absolutely fine after washing multiple times too (although I do pop them in a mesh bag to keep them away from anything they might catch on) 😊
