I feel like the last few weeks I've been pregnant for years! Decades in fact! Second trimester was slowish this time round but still ok and I kept busy as I was able to move. Now I'm struggling to drive, SPD is in full swing and I'm all out of ideas on activities to do with DC1. Baby things are all prepped and I'm just sat (uncomfortably) waiting for this baby to make an appearance. I'm also huge and constantly have people saying 'only few days left now!'.. erm no not quite!! I have no idea how I'll lose all this weight afterwards SadSadSad

My dc is 2 now but you are so right about how it feels. I used to check my pregnancy app multiple times per day and get angry that the day counter hadnt changed.

princessrapunzel · 11/10/2022 07:32

Im with you! Im 32 weeks and im miserable. Spd has kicked in the last week or so and i just have no energy. Im just laying around feeling sorry for myself wishing the time away.... which doesnt seem to be going away.
No advise im afraid but just letting you know im feeling exactly the same! This pregnancy has been awful and very long

RainbowsMoonbeams · 11/10/2022 07:48

I am pretty sure time magically slows right down when you are pregnant.

And then there’s going overdue - every day feels like another week!

OK92 · 11/10/2022 08:25

I'm just over 33 weeks and also a bit fed up. But then I sometimes want time to stop as I've not organised much at all yet and really need to! I'm pretty much the size I was full term with DD so I'm also anxious about how much bigger I can physically get with another 6-7 weeks to go!

bravotango · 11/10/2022 09:47

I feel this! Am 34+2. I have quite bad pain that I assume is PGP but will talk to my midwife about it tomorrow at my appointment but that's making things even more miserable Grin Just want him to arrive now!!

LucyKirk92 · 11/10/2022 10:38

I'm 40 + 3 and completely fed up too. I remember thinking at 38 weeks 'baby could come anytime'.... so 2 weeks later and nothing is the longest time ever! Hahaha. I've tried most things - pregnancy exercises on YouTube to induce labour, eating 5 dates a day, keep very active most days, bouncing on my ball etc. baby is just to snug so accepting he/she will come when they are ready Smile

Pregnantpolly · 11/10/2022 11:59

@LucyKirk92 feel the same. Just over 38 weeks and assumed it could be final straight yet they won't induce me until 40+10 so I could easily have 3.5 weeks to go. I'm going to try your strategies.

nannyquestion1 · 11/10/2022 12:14

Me too! I'm 32+6 and physically exhausted, bad SPD that started around 20 weeks and low iron means that I'm basically housebound. I struggle to walk up the stairs!

BUT - I'm booked in for a planned c-section at 38 weeks so at least I have an end date in sight.....5 weeks to go......

chardaboo · 11/10/2022 16:17

@Pregnantpolly what's it like having the low iron ? I've just been told I need to take iron tablets so not sure what to expect

greenerfingers · 11/10/2022 17:23

Ah @OK92 I'm way bigger than I was DS at delivery and I'm barely 33 weeks! I'm 5 stone heavier than pre-pregnancy weight. Not sure how I'll shift it (breastfeeding caused me to add 2 stone not lose it).

I keep telling myself maybe I'll be lucky and baby will spontaneously come at 38 weeks as I really can't fathom how I'll get any bigger or continue walking. There's like a train in front of me 😅. Really hope I don't go over. I really feel for you @LucyKirk92

Honestly I've been so impatient since 37 weeks! I'm surprise I've lasted this long without having a breakdown 😆 walking is terrible for me & waddling is getting worse too. My husband has to put on and tie my shoe laces and help me up off our low couch. Turning at night is ouuuccccch! I don't feel my bump has actually got much bigger though since 38 weeks, maybe just a wee bit. Definitely more solid bump. Baby still measuring on 50th percentile so doesn't seem to be massive.... YET (!) hahaha. I actually thought baby would come at 39 weeks as I was convinced I had the symptoms. Gutted lol xx

greenerfingers · 11/10/2022 18:00

Hopefully it's not much longer for you!! @LucyKirk92

@chardaboo I have pretty low iron naturally tbf. There's lots of times I go to give blood and get refused. I didn't want to make it a feature of my pregnancy so refused to be put on tablets or any more blood tests because I didn't want the stress and didn't feel overly tired. Midwife recommended spatone. I kept forgetting to take it but it's more natural.

PinkButtercups · 12/10/2022 09:18

I feel like this pregnancy has flown by! I'm 28+4 with DCDA twins now and I still need to get stuff. I have the pram and a new car seat for one twin but feel unprepared now 🤣.

greenerfingers · 02/11/2022 07:07

How is everyone getting on? Once I hit 36 weeks I suddenly feel I can relax now and enjoy the pregnancy as all the pain is soon coming to an end and the baby will be here soon 🙏.

JanuaryBirthdays · 02/11/2022 07:37

I'm 37+3 and need the baby to stay in late as we're moving house the day after due day - not through our choice may I add!
As long as I don't over do it I am comfortable for now, but it's frustrating not being able to as hands on as I would like packing etc.
Any tips for keeping the baby in?!

greenerfingers · 02/11/2022 09:07

Eek @JanuaryBirthdays! I needed to keep my first in and the tension was intense 😅, he stayed in though. Ermmm cross your legs??

Seriously though pls don't do any lifting, heavy or not, don't exercise too much, and avoid any kneeling on the floor etc. Sending you well wishes 💕

36+3 and feeling heavy! Definitely feels like the final stretch now. Got final scan tomorrow to confirm position so hopefully all OK. The pressure down there and in my tailbone has definitely ramped up, very excited to not be pregnant soon! How's everyone else doing?

greenerfingers · 02/11/2022 18:15

As you described @OK92, heavy! And the tailbone pressure omg, it's started the last couple days and freaks me out as I only ever experienced that in labour before, never during my first pregnancy or at any other time. I've got a really busy weekend so I'm trying to focus on that and praying baby stays in till after Monday lol

OK92 · 02/11/2022 19:08

I can't remember having it either. It's so uncomfortable! I was 9 days late with DD so I'm fully expecting another 5 weeks of pregnancy 😂

nannyquestion1 · 02/11/2022 22:41

I've been booked for a section at 37+1 - next week! And I am sooooo relieved that this is nearly over.... I'm uncomfortable, she feels too big to be in there, everything hurts, I have SPD pain and gestational diabetes which = a strict diet to follow. It's miserable!

This is so me, 36 weeks

greenerfingers · 03/11/2022 13:58

Funny how long the last stretch feels! I thought first trimester was the hard one with hyperemesis but actually this third trimester and end of second has felt soo long. My SPD and pelvic girdle pain is so severe right now I struggle to walk. 4 more weeks of this potentially doesn't sound fun.

38 weeks now and the wait feels even longer than before. These last few days/weeks are torture 😮‍💨😮‍💨
