I had the blood test for DS on the 13th September and haven't had my results uploaded to Badger Net yet, I'm on pins 😩 They said 10-14 days. How long did everyone else wait for theirs?

Room4onemore · 28/09/2022 07:42

Mine never get updated on there lol

I got my screening results along with my 12 week scan from hospital, however I had to have further iron tests and those results never appeared I had to chase up with midwife who apologised and put the blood results on but screening ones still aren't on there, as I've got a paper copy I don't mind as much but I hope its not a frequent thing having to chase up every time 🙈 hope you get yours soon and all ok! xx

alotoftutus · 28/09/2022 07:54

@allthingssparkly mine took exactly 14 days. The wait was unbearable. How are you doing?

If it helps my friend who is a doctor said the longer the wait the better the news. When something is wrong they contact you quickly. When all is fine you go to the bottom of a pile to be contacted.

However regardless you have done your 14 days and even with the bank holiday that would make today the max time. I would 100% get on the phone and chase the results up.

Here to hold your hand regardless of the results, it's a really painful thing to go through - the wait almost sent me insane xxx

alotoftutus · 28/09/2022 07:55

@allthingssparkly was it the NIPT you had?

allthingssparkly · 28/09/2022 08:05

Thank you @alotoftutus really hoping all is ok, the wait seems to have been long.

It's showing the test I had on Badger Net but in the results column it says "not published"

I just had the T21 test not NIPT.

They couldn't get measurements from the back of baby's neck at my 12 week scan as they weren't cooperating 🙈 so I had to go back at 14 weeks for the blood test. The midwife said they'll check over any other abnormalities ect at my 20 week scan.

AGirlsNameIsAryaStark · 28/09/2022 08:17

@allthingssparkly I haven't had my tests yet as baby wasn't co-operating at the scan like you but they did say when I have the quad test that they go by the basis of no news is good news, if there was an issue they'd be in contact with you ASAP.

Fingers crossed you can get them soon 🙏

I had my tests done 30th sept and only got the results at my 16 week midwife appt on 22nd sept. After that they were updated in the badger notes app. I think they wanted to discuss in person but I was told if the results were high risk I'd have received a phone call 7-10 days after the test

havanamama · 28/09/2022 08:48

Hi! Friday will start month 5 for me! Can’t believe it! Pregnancy goes so quick! ☺️

desperate to start feeling movements, but have to trust the midwife that they can take as long as till they 20th week 🥴

Pickles23 · 28/09/2022 08:56

@allthingssparkly i got a letter with my test results about 10 days after the test. In the letter it said to take it to my next appointment. I had my 16 week appointment yesterday so took the letter with me and my records were updated by the midwife, results showed up in Badger Notes yesterday. I agree with the others, no news is good news!

My 16 week appointment was nice, quick and easy, and it was great to hear the baby's heartbeat!

allthingssparkly · 28/09/2022 09:24

Thank you all 😊 your comments are all very reassuring so hopefully all is well, if there's no results published by the end of the week I'll contact my midwife.

@Pickles23 I heard baby's heartbeat on Monday evening and it was so nice, midwife found it straight away 😊 which I'm pleased about.

havanamama · 28/09/2022 09:25

I wasn’t offered the heart beat listening at my 16 week appointment ☹️ I also got a bit anxious so forgot to ask myself

Splashh · 28/09/2022 10:33

8th of March for me 😊

hol92 · 28/09/2022 10:43

I’m 27th March too! Seems a very common due date haha :) I will find out the sex in a couple of weeks

does anyone else keep getting ill? I obviously have the pregnancy nausea but a few weeks back I caught a nasty bug then the same week a cold and now yesterday I woke up with a horrible sore throat and feel awful today, I’m worried why as I never used to really get ill, so I’m naturally worried about baby I also feel like work think I’m lying :( I haven’t really had any days off sick but I have asked to work from home today and start a little later (I’m 40 he week part time from home and part of the time in office) x

This is me I am never ever sick but I caught Covid for the first time at the start of September which I just got over and now I have a cold. More worried about my pelvic floor with all this coughing and sneezing to be honest Confused

Cats23 · 28/09/2022 11:12

@alotoftutus - My sis in law has had extreme heartburn from 8weeks ( due any day!) Meds from early on from Dr, no other symptoms but heartburn, to the point of sickness daily and cant lie flat.

I only suffered last 10weeks, and coped with over counter stuff so not so bad

allthingssparkly · 28/09/2022 11:37

@hol92 I wasn't well last week and now seem to be feeling like I'm going down hill again 😪 probably doesn't help that I work with a load of children and this time of year is rife for bugs ect 😩😩 so I know exactly how you feel.

havanamama · 28/09/2022 12:42

Braved myself to take my first pregnancy safe bath 🛁 and omg I’m so cold now! Who knew that typically I cook myself at such high temperatures, as this pregnancy’s age temperature was so cold! 🥶

LaForza101 · 28/09/2022 14:28

@havanamama Solidarity on the bath front! I've missed baths so much as I can't trust myself not to increase the heat until I'm at lobster temp. It's been my one solidarity request I've asked of my husband — I don't mind the occasional after work beer but I'm jealous of the baths!

I might give it another few weeks until the temp drops further and then hopefully I'll feel the benefit of a temp safe bath

TeddyBeans · 28/09/2022 15:09

@havanamama @LaForza101 I'm curious to know how hot you have a bath! I have mine at 38° and it keeps me going for at least an hour! I do top it up with more hot water after that cuz I love a long soak. Most of my evenings end up in the bath 🤔

Perexi · 28/09/2022 15:26

I've not bothered with a bath as I pretty much only use hot water and ease myself in. I miss them lots but a warm bath just wouldn't be enjoyable for me as it would get cool so quickly 🤣

havanamama · 28/09/2022 15:52

@TeddyBeans I was shivering at 37-38 🫣😂 I like to swear in my bath normally haha

havanamama · 28/09/2022 15:53

Lol sweat not swear

TeddyBeans · 28/09/2022 15:54

🤣🤣 brilliant! If you can adapt to it though I've found both my babies get very wriggly when I'm relaxed in the bath
