So today I have booked myself in to see the GP. I want them to check if I have a UTI because I did get this a lot before pregnancy. Could be another reason for right side pain.
That way whatever comes up on urine my GP advise what to do. If they say contact midwife team will try again or if she picked up something wrong she can speak to EPU. But if not just wait.

No bleeding and I know they take this as a good sign. But again just toilet watch and see. I do know no that you don't have to bleed to miscarry.

After today I shall not even be talking about the pregnancy and carry on as normal. Go work etc and when week of scan at 12 weeks of hopefully see midwife before then think again it.

Yesterday finally heard from the midwife.
Today I got my results back from my GP after getting my urine sent off to the lab.
I did have a UTI so wonder why I felt rubbish. So thinking because I was exhausted that night and fell asleep until morning and held my bladder which is not what I normally do. Normally up and down all night.
I think maybe that could have cause the cramp on right side. Still got to wait for scan and trying to be positive.

Now I know what I was feeling unwell

That's great that you can get the uti sorted op. How are you feeling today?

Scorpio8 · 22/07/2022 19:27

@ShaneTwane

I went to work but was feeling unwell towards end of shift.
Just very exhausted.

On top of everything else having UTI came down with Flu so I thought but it's COVID.

Midwife will still do a phone appointment tomorrow and after 5 days she apparently will do home visit and bloods and book me for scan.

Update

I have a midwife whom is really nice. She has said anything cramps or if I get bleeding she will get me in at EPU. But have my scan for 12 weeks have told her of my worries she does understand but trying to reassure me and probably just will have to wait now until 24 August. I can't say I even feel pregnant as I don't because everything changed after that bad cramp on the right but guess got to wait.
Midwife said so much yesterday a lot to take it but happy she there if I need her.
I am still clinging on to hope though but sometimes you have that feeling and really hope I am wrong.
I have a lot to think about like the test for downs syndrome and the other one. I need to take aspirin because of preclampsia I had and stillbirth
I swear I forgotten everything but when I am better she will come out to visit me and do blood test.
I will be going to a consultant and so glad that's the case and will be offered induction she said.
Really happy but worried about 12 week scan. I really hope it's just me worrying over nothing.

How are you feeling now op in regards to the covid? Had any cramps since? Honestly I feel the same as you, stressed, don't feel pregnant and my scans on the 23rd of August. Had a phone call midwife yesterday who isn't even going to be my midwife who said unfortunately I wouldn't be offered any scans apart from 12 and 20 weeks no matter what my history of previous pregnancy loss is. Glad you can contact your midwife any time though that's positive.

Scorpio8 · 29/07/2022 19:21

@ShaneTwane
Still feel rubbish with Covid and it's like on and off. One minute feel okay then I don't.

My right side can still be sore. I have had another cramp but no bleeding.

Definitely don't feel pregnant at all.
I just don't feel the same as I did but hoping I am wrong
I am carrying on like I am but for me it's feel like something wrong it's really getting to me now.
Since that horrible cramp doesn't feel the same and quite annoyed with EPU. Just not sure what point of them is. I am grateful for the two scans in 5 and 6 weeks. But don't they realize people can miscarry without bleeding. Just because someone is fine 5, 6 weeks don't they understand that something like a cramp could mean something happened instead of oh it's normal in pregnancy. Sorry having a rant.
I be okay and I really hope everything okay because if not will switch on the scan day

I agree I don't see the point in epu either as we aren't allowed to access them for any reason whatsoever. Hopefully the cramps have nothing to do with the baby and for want of a better phrase "just one of them things". Are you considering a private scan at all for piece of mind? I kind of want one but they are so expensive and also I weirdly don't feel ready to know the truth of what's going on inside me yet.

Scorpio8 · 29/07/2022 19:37

@ShaneTwane

I can't afford it and won't if EPU can do it for free but refuse people saying it has to be bleeding. I am so annoyed scared to know the truth. I keep telling my partner think something wrong but he like stop worrying making it worse as if my worst fears come true how will he react. I don't even know if I want him there not excited.
It's really not mentally doing me any good having to wait like this.
I sometimes now forget I am pregnant only remind myself just because holding onto hope. So glad I haven't told my family only couple friends, work, health professionals.
I really hope it's me just panicking.

I hope we both get good news at the scans.

Keep us updated fingers crossed we are both worrying over nothing!

Hiddenvoice · 29/07/2022 23:23

Sorry you’re suffering with covid, hopefully the next few weeks fly by for you.
When I was pregnant, I didn’t feel it at all. Even after my 12 week scan, j felt like I had no symptoms and really panicked myself. I suffered with bad cramps in my side, coccyx and pelvis. I was incredibly worried but the midwife said the same, I’d only get scanned if I started to bleed but she reassured me that some pains are normal as the body begins to make changes to help grow the baby. I had a consultant led pregnancy and it was beneficial. I had growth scans every 2 weeks but the nerves didn’t seem to go away. Each scan I worried about what we would see and what would be found out. Hopefully your midwife is great and can support you!

@ShaneTwane

I have decided to get private scan the waiting just too much for me. If I got 24 August and be told something wrong think I will just walk out the hospital and don't want to take it out on the lady who will scan me.

My OH is away in August before scan so do it while he away. Even if good news at least my mind at ease.

Just so angry right now with EPU not helping a person who had a stillbirth previously.

The more days go by the more I feel less pregnant I do hope I am wrong. I will need help with this anxiety.

Not sleeping each day think walking around about this not doing me any good. Private scan is the way forward.

I honestly just feel angry at EPU and just been fobbed off having to wait.

Scorpio8 · 31/07/2022 05:44

@ShaneTwane

It's like don't people with history of stillbirth don't get same treatment as someone who has had several miscarriages. I feel we should be treated the same. Knowing what I been through telling them I had that bad cramp they should of seen me straight away.
It's just wrong this going to say that to my midwife when she back. It's really getting to me now each day crying just want to know.

OP posts:
ShaneTwane · 31/07/2022 10:14

Good luck op when is your private scan? It's just ridiculous isn't it and so unfair. Mines not the same but I had a 12 week miscarriage and had a severe life threatening hemorrhage that saw me in hospital on various drips for days and left me physically ill for weeks and they literally didn't give a shit, my midwife on the phone just brushed it off when I mentioned it. Just was like meh it's common we won't see you in epu before 12 weeks no matter what. She also said I would be refered to a genetics testing as dp has a serious illness that's hereditary and I've heard nothing back. I don't even know what we are supposed to do. Why is it called epu then if they won't see us in it at all?! Oh even when I had the MC my actual scan was booked in on Tuesday I started bleeding on Friday and they refused to let me have a scan earlier than the one already scheduled on Tuesday. Feels like no one cares about pregnant women.

Scorpio8 · 31/07/2022 11:11

@ShaneTwane

I might do it when my OH away. I just want to know what's going on now. My right side is very sore after cramp.

Like after the 14 will book it's really not fair on anyone. I think they need to change how the do things in EPU.
We do know our bodies but yes we can be wrong too.

OP posts:
ShaneTwane · 31/07/2022 13:44

Hope the private scan goes ok. I feel exactly the same. I want to do a private one but I would rather do it after work whilst dp is home with DSS.

Scorpio8 · 03/08/2022 15:09

@ShaneTwane

How are you doing?

I have calmed down a bit although still worried. I just got to get private scan.

Since yesterday started feel nauseous not sure if it's pregnancy or heat. Sometimes I think maybe I am okay.

A friend wanted to come up to see me but said not at the moment need to sort something out. Well once I have that scan then hopefully my mind will be at rest.

I have gone back to work not feeling well still after Covid. I did have something happen at work and thought really don't need the added stress. I will see how it goes next week but if not go to my doctors really just need the scan done then go from there.

ShaneTwane · 06/08/2022 12:01

Did you get your private scan op? How are you doing now? I'm still trundling along just waiting for my 12 week one.

PMAmostofthetime · 06/08/2022 12:42

@Scorpio8 I know I'm late with this reply but wanted to try and offer you some reassurance.
I've had IVF I'm 5+3 and also very scared. I have right side pain often I called my clinic numerous times as sometimes it's sharper than other and they have said it's because of how tender my ovaries are from the treatment and the hormones pregnancy produce make them swell and it's completely normal and I have nothing to worry about. Constipation and full bladders can push on them and make them more sore. So it could very well be from the tenderness of the burst Cyst.

Hope everything goes well for you.

Scorpio8 · 06/08/2022 12:43

@ShaneTwane

I can't afford it at the moment but after the 14 will book a private scan.

Just seem to look big and only 10 weeks..I am prepared for whatever happens now but trying think like maybe everything is alright. I still feel nothing.
