I've just been to the toilet and had this when I wiped. It's not quite blood...just tinged slightly ... Has anyone had this and been fine? I'm about 5weeks I'm terrified I'm going to have another miscarriage

I had this from about wk6-8. Started pink, got heavier, brown, a little red, pink and then stopped. No firm explanation (private sonographer thought possibly implantation/cervix just being swollen with extra blood and a few blood vessels popping). Pregnancy fine, Little boy now asleep on me. Try not to panic. Keep a note and log it with gp/midwife though. I hope everything goes well for you, I know how stressful it is x

Thank you for the reassurance. I hope it's nothing.
As it's Saturday the GP is shut and I'm alone with my other two children. Trying hard not to panic but so scared it is over already.

Could be implantation bleeding. Do you have an early pregnancy unit near you? You could phone for advice or ring your surgery/midwife
Good luck

ofwarren · 25/06/2022 15:50

I had this with my first son.
With my miscarriage it was blood straight away, not pink tinged discharge.

No EPU. Dr closed til Monday. Sent off registration form for midwife on Monday but it heard back yet.

So maybe I'm overeacting...
You had this in a healthy pregnancy?

Sorry for your loss btw 💕

Yes, he's 19 now.
You should definitely get checked out when you can though, just in case.

I’m 10 weeks and been having exactly this looking cm since 7+1. I had a scan at 8+4 and everything looked perfect. I get a small amount most days, some days none. My 12 weeks scan is on 11th July so my fingers and toes are crossed.

Similar to pp, I have had 3 MCs and none of them started pink, it was either brown or straight into red. I’d keep an eye on it and go to EPU if it gets worse. 💐

Moonshine160 · 25/06/2022 16:29

I had this from weeks 6-16. No explanation, think it was an irritated cervix. I’m now 26 weeks and it’s stopped. Try not to panic unless it turns red. Even if you did contact EPU they would probably just tell you to wait and see at this point as very little would be seen on a scan and then that might worry you more. Everything crossed for you x

babyrocket · 26/06/2022 08:55

I had this too. I think for me it was just my insides growing, popping a few blood vessels. DD is nearly 6 months old so it certainly didn't mean the end for us!

Jaaxe · 26/06/2022 09:26

I had this at 6 weeks ish….had a scan at epu and all normal. Had my 12 week scan since and all fine. No issues since x

Want2bMumof3 · 26/06/2022 11:25

Thank you for all the reassurance.
I'm wondering whether to phone EPU this afternoon just to mention it.

I'm in a pickle as we hadn't announced to anyone yet, hence my reaching out on here as I have noone else to talk about it with

I'm 5+5 and having exactly that. I also had it at the same time in my last pregnancy. Do speak to EPU if you are worried though. I have a scan next week bwcUae i have a history of miscarriage. If I didn't have that lined up I would ring EPU

Jaaxe · 26/06/2022 11:58

If you ring ur epu today they will be able to tell you what they recommend you do. Mine said to keep an eye on it and they booked me to come in for a scan within about 2/3 days. They also said to call back if anything worsens or I have pain. Some epu’s aren’t open on weekends but there will be cover during weekends for this sort of thing xx

Perpop · 26/06/2022 12:00

I had this too, healthy baby girl.

Sending love ❤️

Redannie118 · 26/06/2022 12:01

Had that early on in both pregnancies, even some red blood like a very light period. Midwife said its pretty common and not to worry. Both are strapping 6ft 20 odd year olds now !As always, seek proper advice and keep and eye out for cramps, clots ect. Try and relax if you can.

Thank you all.
I'm just taking it easy today as much as I can anyway. I haven't had any more since maybe about 3 this morning.

I might be over anxious but having had a miscarriage last November I am so nervous.

Well I phoned the community midwife to put my mind at rest but they can't advise me as I'm probably only about 5 weeks so I've been advised to call the GP.
Am I just wasting everyone's time and resources though?

OP posts:
Doodledeedum · 27/06/2022 09:22

No you're not wasting time. Call because then your GP can also log your pregnancy down should you need support in future. I've had this ( with current pregnancy) I think sometimes it's just vessels - also this is a bit TMI but if you're constipated and wipe sometimes blood can be from different places....
mine scanned me at 5/6 weeks because i had bleeding . Not too early

Thewolvesarerunningagain · 27/06/2022 09:33

I had this as well with my DD (now 12). When I had a missed miscarriage before her it was brown blood straight away. OP I used to get in such a panic as well and spent a total fortune (!) on private scans. I totally understand how you feel and don't feel bad about 'taking up resources'. You are being politely proactive about your healthcare, not throwing cancer patients out of wheel chairs or some daft thing. A mother takes care of herself, to take care of her family. Hope all goes well for you.

Want2bMumof3 · 27/06/2022 10:44

Thanks ladies. I'm waiting for a call from the GP but I've been advised it will be towards the end of the day.

My last pregnancy ended in miscarriage but was not like this. I had a slight red bleed, had scan which picked up heartbeat everything looked well apart from a pocket of blood which they advised may be reabsorbed by my body. I had a scan two weeks later for peace of mind - no pain or bleeding, nothing - but no heartbeat.
We waited I think two weeks before taking the pill to be safe.

This discharge doesn't have red blood but I can't help worry.

Jaaxe · 27/06/2022 11:06

You are definitely not wasting resources, if your epu wont scan u yet ur Gp can order a blood test for hcg and then recheck it in 2/3 days to check your levels are increasing normally. My epu scanned me around 6/7 weeks as I had some similar bleeding and they needed to rule out ectopic/ miscarriage and all was well x

Phrenologistsfinger · 27/06/2022 11:13

This was how my miscarriages at 6 weeks have started. Hope you get a better outcome.

prettylittlethingss · 27/06/2022 11:16

I had this a much more fresh red blood as implantation bleeding x
