I'm a few weeks behind you though @paintfairy and also if I don't do the useful things they will not get done!! End of pregnancy is hard work, just try and nap in the day (easier said than done in this heat)

I had my first protruding limb today, an arm!

Really muggy here tonight - would LOVE an almighty thunderstorm but no chance of that! Have just moved my gym slot to 6am tomorrow so I have a chance of not dying in the heat!

@Somatronic oh no! It seems rife at the moment. Look after yourself. Quite a lot of close friends/family have caught it recently, but seem to have mild symptoms. I’m sure you’ll be fine, but definitely lots of self care needed! And screw work!

@DKDK123 oh gosh! She seems to have really struggled with her jabs. Glad to hear that she’s feeling better, but I hope you’ve managed as relaxed a day as possible with both!

@larrythelizard it’s definitely too hot today to be useful! I was on a bit of a cleaning/organising mission on Saturday. Bit early though as the nursery isn’t even painted! Today my energy is gone though.

@paintfairy so close now! But yeah, that sounds like a stupid idea from work. Will they cope with a phone call handover?

I am not enjoying this heat. We’re outside all tomorrow for sports day too… I am well prepared with a camp chair, sun cream and cooling spray. But I am not looking forward to it!

@larrythelizard crazy cleaning nesting hormones 😝see, I only really got the painting hormones not the cleaning ones 😬 I've been doing gardening early morning & late night to get that in so don't blame you

@paintfairy im genuinely worried for you if you don't get a child that sleeps 😬you don't seem to do well on lack of sleep (my DH is AWFUL on little sleep) so I fear for you & have everything crossed. Honestly puerto pollensa is fab. Everything walkable (flat) but there's actual "walking" if you want it. It's a resort but not too busy, lovely beaches, lovely pinewalk it's a good mix of residential & tourist. Tell work you can't go.

Forgot to put on my Insta I also got my nails done - without being interrupted this time! Yayyy

@larrythelizard I did do loads of stuff but I think I've ran out of enthusiasm. Although how much of that is the weather, I'm not sure. My friend told me I shouldn't be doing it but I said the same- it needs doing and who else is going to do it? I've no idea how you manage 6am gym sessions though. 🤣
@becarefuloutthere I honestly hadn't thought about the baby coming that day. 🤣 Work isn't far (15 min drive) but then I'm guessing driving home in labour is maybe not advisable? I was more worried about catching illness this close. It was my decision to work up until close to my DD as I wanted to take maximum leave off after. Admittedly I likely would have finished earlier had i had to be going into work, certainly as this weather turned up. I can't function.
I thought the same about being on the pregnancy board still, a while back. Because most people on here now, have babies already!
@Minster2012 I think lack of sleep is less of an issue than my hatred of heat. Its just unbearable. My house copes ok with a few days at a time as it seems to get hotter every day. But now it's insane and it just can't cool down. Downstairs is never less than 26 and upstairs you can feel the heat hit you as you walk up. God knows what it is in the bedroom. Hell on earth. Even the fan tonight i can't actually feel making any difference. I'm currently sat in a cold bath. 🙈🤣
@BellatrixK sports day? Aaarrrgghhh. Take shade is all I would say. Big umbrella. 🤣 Its hardly great weather anyway but for pregnant people? Definitely not!

I keep frantically checking the forecast for rain. 🤣 And Sunday I'm hoping is wrong as I've got the horses feet being trimmed that day, so I can't even avoid being out in it! Takes ages too, so I'm not really sure how I'll manage that. I did think to myself though that had I agreed to induction at 39 weeks I would be going in that day. Which I honestly can't imagine. A work friend had to go there today for a meeting. She said how horrific it was and she hopes i don't have to go in this heat. Like it isn't bad enough. 🤔 🙈 Never again! Winter baby next time. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@paintfairy you could prob drive in early labour, it's like period pain to start. It'll likely be a long labour for your first too unless you have any interventions done. I feel for you in this weather, no fun at all!

Yeah most have babies now, I'm up for the parenting board too. Might scout it out now for how to survive a nearly 2 month regression 😫

@becarefuloutthere the 4 mo sleep regression was the worst DS ever slept, he was awake every hour at least (as a newborn he came out doing 2.5/3 hour chunks) - it was brutal. I co-slept with him as that was the only was to get any sleep at all. I think regressions are just about survival and you do what you have to!

@paintfairy hope you got a bit more sleep last night. I would also be saying no to the office. I'm meant to be down in London next Weds, and fuck that, I'm not going to London when it's going to be 31c and is a 9-6 session which is a very long day. I deffo could have driven when labour started but then had a couple of days of latent labour before I went to hospital.

Gym this morning was awful, not sure I'll make it to the end of the month to hang up my trainers as I planned!

@becarefuloutthere that's brutal. Please tell me you've had caffeine by IV??? Can't believe you've not checked the boards yet for miracle answers. Honestly you need to listen to the fob Beckett/Josh widdecombe pod cast with Josh Pugh. It will resonate.

@paintfairy the heat in our upstairs hits us as you walk up too but it's not unbearable. Our old house was, that was all south facing, awful when X was born was the heatwave. Try ice packs wrapped in tea towels taking to bed?

@DKDK123 managed to build all the furniture yesterday well DH did in 32 degree heat bless him, slight sweaty mess at the end of it but I was his personal assistant reading the instructions and handing him tools 🙃🤣 sending hugs I hope last nights sleep with your DD is a lot more settled than the night before & that’s good news about your cycle coming regular with the sounds of it? Only time will tell :)
@minster2012 I’m actually disappointed the more I watch LI because I thought they’d be at least one solid couple by now 🥺 going away in a villa with family sounds lovely for you 🥰 with family being around it means everyone can help with the little ones too, happy birthday again for yesterday sweet ❤️

@larrythelizard I took the plunge well DH did and when he did the food shop yesterday purchased a pool from Tesco - BEST THING EVER so thank you for the inspo :D it’s deffo ramping up I feel like the same, I have MW hospital for bloods and presentation scan for 36 week next week 🙈🙈 keep us posted with how you get on :) your doing amazing still going to the gym right now!

About to breathe coffee all over the dentist 🦷 😂😂

Posted too soon, as dog ran after a leveret so dog walk took longer than expected (drinking coffee on way) and didn't get extra tooth brush in. Ah well

Its a bit cooler here today so I've got all the windows and doors open, trying to cool the house down! Ours is actually east to west facing. So the sun starts on the kitchen but moves round and ends up on the front of the house during the hottest part of the day. Which is the living room, our room, baby's room. 🙄 Its stifling. And move of the windows open wide bar the bathroom and back bedroom (boiler is in there, so that's always hot too). The landing window doesn't open at all. It's ridiculous.
@becarefuloutthere the sleep regression definitely doesn't sound fun! Flipping heck. I suppose it won't last forever but that's no help right now. The heat is maybe not helping either.

@kaylsd I don't see myself as at the top of the list because I'm not, looking at the physical list on the thread. 🤭 I'm also very much in denial its happening still. I'm pretending the weather won't happen too. But if I can get the house cool by the weekend then it won't actually be as unbearable inside this time, because it heats up over days. So I'm trying to get cool air in and then I'll shut the heat out. Fingers crossed its short lived. Is your baby shower inside or outside? Both mine were really hot anyway as the tea rooms were hot! I was sweating at both and really it wasn't a hot day for either.

So- my health visitor turned up today! I've had no sleep. Dressed interestingly because it's hot. Realised I hadn't actually brushed my hair or teeth either. I hadn't been up long when she came. 🙈🤣 But I'm literally past caring. DH had thankfully hoovered and the dog didn't savage her. So wasn't all bad. She was nice actually and said they try to see the same people, so if there's continuity then it's not so awful. Unlike everything else I've had! Clearly random strangers keep coming to your house isn't really great. Not sure about the midwife that comes after birth though, whether you get the same one or any random one. I guess I'll find out......

@BellatrixK you sound well prepared for sports day! It's so much cooler here today albeit humid and we're having a few showers. I hope there isn't a pregnant ladies race you have to participate in 🤔

@paintfairy you'd only worry baby was too cold if a winter one 😆 oooh you're contemplating #2 already. Driving in early labour isn't comfortable but possible. I couldn't get hold of DH the first time so had to drive myself to be checked, of course he called me back when I'd set off 🙄 I'm so excited for these new bus babies! What's your induction date again? I'm doing a rubbish job of catching up atm! I think HVs and MWs have probably seen a lot worse so I always take comfort in that!

God @becarefuloutthere I remember those "hi mum I'm up for the day" at 3am. It's so bloody hard!

Slight envy @Minster2012 on the sleep but it is/was your birthday 😂 Z is doing better then I'd hoped and is only waking once but is hard to resettle come 5am. Taking the extra stints until the 4m sleep regression hits although we're up a lot with DD as she's unwell!

Sorry being a crap passenger, we're in survival mode atm with DDs mystery illness. Well into week 3 of intermittent fever, temperature and 1000s of other symptoms that the GPS we've seen are unsure what it is. Tried to get her to pee in a pot today has been unsuccessful (don't think she performs well under pressure 😂) if still spiking temps Friday then it's the hospital for bloods. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

@paintfairy I don't think it would be unreasonable to say to work that you've been careful to avoid covid so far and don't feel comfortable being around so many people so close to your due date as it will impact on your birth experience and DH visiting etc if you catch covid so you will just be doing a virtual or telephone handover. Well done on your dedication to DTD eviction plan in this weather.

@BellatrixK it's a lot cooler here today hope it's cooler where you are to make the sports day more bearable today.

@larrythelizard I'm well impressed you've managed to keep the gym up this long! But yes if this heat keeps up definitely think about hanging up your gym gear a bit early or switch to something thats not as intense like pregnancy yoga.

Although don't worry I'm not going to kill you from jealousy today as DD slept from just after midnight till just before 6 her longest stint yet 🥳 she's been a crabbit wee shit all morning mind you, but I can't have it all I suppose 😂

@bez91 poor DD she's having such a rough time of it I hope they get to the bottom of it quickly (for both your sakes!)

I had my nice HV come out to help with the BF but she said we're doing amazing as it is and far better than she was expecting us to do in only a week. I've not really been pushing it either way if DD wants to BF we go for it, if she refuses and screams for a bottle she gets that. We're down to about 2-3bottles a day now and the rest of the time BF which I thought the HV would try pushing more for me dropping those bottles but instead she was very impressed and said trying to reestablish BF at this late stage is really hard going and very few actually manage it so she was really impressed with DDs progress in such a short space of time 😁 Of course I was feeling well chuffed after she left.........so naturally DD decided she would completely refuse the boob on her next feed and make me resort to the bottle, typical 🙈😂

You have my sincere condolences @2020mission we sleep trained because of the 4 month regression! Definitely the worst one we've had. I vividly remember the 3am parties. 😭

Well work has been manic. With hindsight I was very stupid naive to think I could just doss about for a week and a bit before the hols 🙈 so much sludgy admin to wade through, plus my replacement decided to rejig all of my carefully curated supposedly idiot proof resources and schemes of work so it's going to be a right mess to sort out 😫

On the other hand I am loving adulting again and H learning about baby life.

@bez91 oh Jesus week 3??? Get her to pee into a larger pot, a jug, or a bowl Turk pour into a smaller pot? That's basically what I did with the dog who I DEF couldn't get to PIAP 🤣 yes when B wakes she wakes at 5am which bearing in mind she takes 45mins to resettle after feed it often still trying to resettle at 6.15 when X wakes and have been awake since 4.45 or so, so I know the full night sounds impressive but the past 2 nights I've set an alarm for 4am and done a "rouse" to tick her past the 5am wake. First night she then woke at 5.55, then yesterday nearly 7. We'll see how it goes forwards

@DKDK123 thank you!! We do sleep training though so it's def down to that too. You are doing shading on both the feeding and that sleep though. The feeding is incredible I certainly couldn't do it ❤️🥳well done!

@becarefuloutthere another "quick filling" as always. My teeth are shit very weak enamel so I have to wear a tooth guard at night, I've got so many fillings/crowns now it's unreal. I knew I needed one, I got booked in for 2 more appointments whilst my exemption is in place AND sorted xanders next appointment for after school I feel very organised! Listen to the podcast!! Well DH having to work til late tonight so we can have the day tomorrow for my birthday. The 4 interviews I lined up for today AND I CONFIRMED only yesterday I also checked 3 times today through indeed for any messages so were going ahead NONE turned up and only one answered his phone. DH waited in the office for the interviews instead of going out to do what he's now doing after work instead & the bastards didn't even have the decency to send messages. He phoned at 4pm to rant when 2 hadn't turned up as I was knee deep in not napping baby & X being "spirited" or "enthusiastic" as @Soph0105 would say, and he was then scooting around the house & garden in just t shirt & boxers after "paintgate" as delivery guy turned up & nap time was well & truly knackered as dogs go crazy. Ahhhh well it turned out ok in the end 😬

Let's hope the rumours of 5 hours of traffic jams to the show tomorrow aren't true 🤞🏻

Also the house is a tip. I said nothing yesterday but H looked suitably guilty today and tidied up once I was home 😂

And on the jobs list @Minster2012 it's mostly going well. I felt very satisfied when H came downstairs this morning and asked if there were any sterilised bottles. I knew fine well there wasn't but was just all innocent "hmmm dunno not my job"

Bottles have been sterilised tonight for tomorrow. Not by me. He is a fast learner (ish)
