Anyone due February? I know it’s super early but I’ve had my BFP at what I think is 8DPO so it looks like I’ll be due the first few days of February!

LaKaAl · 08/06/2022 22:26

Hi everyone, I hope you dont mind me jumping on this thread 😊

I’m due in February too (the 4th according to the NHS calculator). This will be my second but my daughter is 16 so a HUGE age gap. It’s freaking me out a little if i’m honest!! I thought my baby days were long behind me.. it’s all come as a total shock!!

Symptom wise i’m having pulling pains, tender boobs and nipples like bullets!! 🀣

Hope you’re all doing ok!

Should be 5 weeks today so I took my other CB digital and it's still showing 2-3. Think I probably should've waited until Saturday but at least it's not gone down to 1-2!

Are you getting 5 weeks from due date calculators?

the CB tests show how far along you are from ovulation, however pregnancy technically starts from your last period so the calculators add a couple of weeks (depending on your cycle length)

so with the numbers you gave that seems right 😊

RBSK1 · 09/06/2022 06:28

@crazy4cats yeah my last period was 5th May, we only DTD once last month too πŸ˜‚ on the 16th so I must've ovulated not long after!

MamaSJ15 · 09/06/2022 06:37

I used my last digital this morning and it's gone down to 1-2 weeks 😭 that can only mean one thing surely?

I don't want to give false hope but not necessarily! Last night I used my last digital and it went from 3+ to 2-3. I panicked and ran out to the shops for another pack. Three hour hold and did one before bed and it was back to 3+. My frantic googling also tells me that the dating element of these tests is not an exact science. Even the tests themselves only say 93% accurate and that'll be in lab conditions so in reality it'll be less.

I know none of that will be very reassuring - been there, done that too and the panic and obsession doesn't ease when people tell you their story. Do you have a follow up scan or anything? Sorry I can't remember what you've had already, I know you had worries earlier. Hand hold and wishing you good luck

MamaSJ15 · 09/06/2022 07:33

@Onebabyandamadcat thank you so much, I've also read other threads on the internet and a lot of people say theirs have gone down but not meant anything bad. I had a chemical last year and all tests went negative pretty quickly so it's worrying. I have a scan tomorrow at epu because of the bad cramps I had so fingers crossed something will show up! My morning tests looked the same at afternoon tests done too so I'm guessing FMU isn't always the best to use. Some people have also said that after 5-6 weeks the tests can get confused with the amount of hormone? I don't know if that's true or not, but I should be around 6 weeks now.

maggiebun · 09/06/2022 08:13

@crazy4cats exactly the same as me! Last period 5th May so happy 5 weeks to us!

My first pregnancy at 38 years old and it's very strange to say the least. Mega sore boobs, slight cramps a lot of the day and cant sleep... not sure of thats the anxiety or pregnancy as only found out on Monday and was in total shock as we have been trying for 18 months. Is there anyone older on here and having their first the same as me??

RBSK1 · 08/06/2022 06:19

Anyone else finding that their "gassier" than usual?!

I can't stop burping and I've got horrendous trapped wind the other end?! (Think it's explaining the cramps!)

I don't remember being this gassy until much later on last time around?

DD will be 2 when this one is born

Yes yes YES! Burping like anything! πŸ˜‚

YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch · 09/06/2022 11:18

I'm 6+1 and have ZERO symptoms.
I've been sat with a pack of gingernut biscuits in my bag since Monday "just incase". I had no nausea with my son so maybe it's the same, but the bloats gone, energy is back, no cramps. Just feel "normal" which I'm trying not to overthink!

alvaryder · 09/06/2022 12:15

@maggiebun not my first, but im 43 πŸ€ͺ

Ohhhhhshitttt · 09/06/2022 15:24

Can't quite believe I'm joining here! Think I'm between 5 and 6 weeks.

Just got a positive test this morning after feeling a bit odd - this will be our second and with our first we were with a fertility clinic so this news is still sinking in as we were in our first month not using protection.

Anyway, congrats all and ill read back through the thread properly later. :)

Maple90 · 09/06/2022 15:33

@Ohhhhhshitttt

congratulations!! I’m about the same as you & it’s my second too 😊

Ohhhhhshitttt · 09/06/2022 15:39

Awww amazing! Congratulations @Maple90 how old is your first?

Maple90 · 09/06/2022 15:42

@Ohhhhhshitttt he's two, he’ll be three in October! Yours?

Ohhhhhshitttt · 09/06/2022 15:46

He's just turned 3! Nice gaps for us both! :)

Summerbreeze111 · 09/06/2022 17:38

Hi all, please can I join? Found out yesterday and due 16th February πŸ’š

I nearly fell off my chair when I saw the positive test, I've had several days of being convinced that my period was imminent and at one point jumped up and down trying to force it to come out 🀣🀣 safe to say, I'm over the moon and I cant wait to tell dp on Saturday. He has a job interview for a promotion tomorrow so I don't want to distract him before then, I wanted to plan something nice when we go for a walk.

How did everyone tell their dps?

I've got so much coming up over the next few weeks, and I'm seriously praying I dont suffer badly with nausea/vomiting! I dont know how I would hide it in work if I do get poorly, arghh!

nestinginnl · 09/06/2022 18:35

@Summerbreeze111 congratulations! Erm my DH heard me swearing loudly in the bathroom and guessed what was up when he saw the look of horror on my face (he was thrilled πŸ˜‚, I was happy when I stopped shaking) but I had all sorts of cute ideas planned for had I managed to keep it quiet. I was thinking maybe a pregnancy test taped to the inside of a box of brownies or donuts, or if you can wait till the 19th it's Father's Day so you could give him a card then. Might be a bit long to wait though ☺️

Maple90 · 09/06/2022 18:48

Yes definitely! I wanted about 3ish years, so
its worked out nicely :)

plus my little boy starts pre school in September & it’ll mean I’ll get a bit more one to one time with the baby

LiveLaughL0ve · 09/06/2022 19:18

@maggiebun this will be my first too. I’m 40. 😊

maggiebun · 09/06/2022 19:37

@LiveLaughL0ve ahhhh congratulations! How are you feeling? I’m so nervous! And got bad cramps so currently in bed with a hot water bottle 😬

nl192 · 09/06/2022 20:45

Hi everyone and congrats!

im guesstimating that I’m due early feb! I had a miscarriage in April and I never had a period πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I have a history of recurrent loss (6 miscarriages, 2 ectopics same side and pregnancy of unknown location) and in 10 years I have never fallen pregnant without having a period.

I have 2 beautiful daughters (5 and almost 2) and we decided we would like to try for one more to complete our family, I’m stubborn and often asked why but I think you just know when your not finished!!

I’m predicting I’m due early feb about 6 weeks and had an early scan on Tuesday which showed a sac and fetal pole (and most of all everything is in the right place) I am being rescanned Tuesday to hopefully confirm viability with a heartbeat 🀞🀞

I hope everyone is doing ok!

love ❀️

LiveLaughL0ve · 09/06/2022 21:11

@maggiebun congratulations to you too! I’m feeling excited but absolutely rotten. I’ve got horrible nausea so I’m struggling with that. Not too much cramping but loads of bloat. I reckon I look about 4 months pregnant from my bloated belly. My boobs are swollen too though so that’s something at least… πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
I hope your cramping eases a little and the hot water bottle is helping. The first trimester is a bit of a roller coaster!

LiveLaughL0ve · 09/06/2022 21:13

Congratulations @nl192 ! It sounds like you’ve had quite a journey but I’m so pleased that your scan went well.
