Hi, I’ve just found out I am pregnant aged 41. Is there anybody else in the same position or has done this already? I had my other children in my 20s so this feels like a very different situation. I feel a mixture of excitement and worry at the moment.

Hi, I had mine at 41 and 43. They were my first so I've nothing else to compare it to, but it's been absolutely fine. No issues in pregnancy. No issues with the children. It's tiring, of course, but then I guess it is for anyone!

I had dc in my teens, 20's, 30's and a ds at 43.2!! Dsis now 7 and I am 50! He is an absolute delight! I opted for no testing. Not even the nuchal fold scan measuring..
Congratulations op!

Thank you so much, they are such lovely positive stories.
@Summerholidayorcovidagain how did your older children take the news? I’m worried about telling my 16 year old as he really struggles with change. He’ll be 17 and at college when the baby arrives but I have a feeling he’s going to feel like I’ve ruined his life!
