Hi all!

So I am 15w3d with my first baby and I've not felt ANY flutters/bubbles/movement or anything at all yet :( I know it might still be too early but I can't help worrying. I've had a few scans already due to my last MMC and baby was very active each time.. Trying not to overdo it on ultrasounds but I just want to know she is ok :( is it normal to not have felt any movement? I have a small bump but it's very small. Not even 100% if it is a bump and not just bloating!

Thank you

Completely normal!!

soundofsilver · 11/05/2022 12:56

Yes - totally normal. Especially with your first

Hugasauras · 11/05/2022 12:57

I was at least 19 weeks till I felt movement with first and even then it was very easy to miss.

Whereland · 11/05/2022 12:59

V normal. I was close to 20 weeks with my third before I felt movement! Your placenta could be cushioning it

barneymcgroo · 11/05/2022 12:59

I have a friend who didn't feel movement with her first until about 28 weeks. Completely normal!

I'm on my 3rd - 18 weeks, and only just starting to feel things now.

With my first, thought I felt things at 16 weeks. With subsequent pregnancies, now convinced it was wind... 🙈

theotherfossilsister · 11/05/2022 13:02

I'm twenty four weeks and still only feeling really tiny movements. The need for him to move is huge though.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 11/05/2022 13:03

Very normals. My first I was about 23 weeks. Second about 19

Graceybaby · 11/05/2022 13:07

I was 16 weeks with first baby and it was literally a small tickly flutter! x

Mommabear20 · 11/05/2022 13:12

Totally normal! I was 23 weeks before I feel my first, and 20 weeks with my second! Midwife said it's totally normal! Try not to worry! You'll be wishing it'd calm down towards the end when is kicking you in the ribs all night 😂

Tinadecember · 11/05/2022 13:25

very normal with your first and as the others have said it is also dependent on the position of your placenta.

This is my second and I began feeling around 16 weeks but with my first I had no idea what I was feeling for and I think I was around 20 weeks.

Lovetogarden2022 · 11/05/2022 13:30

I didn't have any movement until at least week 17 - as others have said above, it depends on where your placenta is :)

FT96 · 11/05/2022 13:32

As others as said completely normal Smile

Pamparam · 11/05/2022 13:40

20 weeks almost exactly for my first. Could be later if you have an anterior placenta!

BrightOrion · 11/05/2022 13:40

Like others have said, completely normal!! Baby is still small and can hide.

I felt what I thought was movement at about 19 weeks and definite movement by 22 but everyone is different.
Also completely normal to not have a bump at this stage, especially in first pregnancy.

Verite1 · 11/05/2022 13:53

i didn’t feel anything until about 21/22 weeks with my first. And my friend hardly felt any movements at all throughout her entire pregnancy due to the placement of the placenta.

mummyh2016 · 11/05/2022 14:37

Way too early, if it's your first you will be closer to 20 weeks (or after 20 weeks).

babyjellyfish · 11/05/2022 14:58

Too early. I didn't feel anything until 18 weeks and that was with a posterior placenta and a very active baby.

I'm in the same boat! 15+2 and can't feel anything. I have the odd wave of nausea still but I don't have a bump or feel any different. It's really disconcerting!
I know things are 99% likely to be fine, but this is my 4th pregnancy and we've never gotten this far before so everything is a worry!!

ShadowPuppets · 15/05/2022 03:29

Agree totally normal. At my 20 week scan with DD I found it weird I could see her moving around on the screen but couldn’t feel her. With DS by the 20 week scan (second pregnancy) I would feel movement and it was really weird being able to feel the corresponding movements to what was showing on the screen!

Fizzyfish · 15/05/2022 03:44

Don't worry op, still very early

leah3 · 15/05/2022 08:16

16 weeks today and still nothing! :( but thank you all for your responses

@SareBear87 My third pregnancy and never made it this far so I’m in the exact same position as you where im worrying about everything. Just want a bump or some kind of movement 😭

Regenbogen22 · 15/05/2022 08:30

@leah3 the bump and movements will come, then you'll lightheartedly complain about not being able to bend over anymore and about being kept awake by kicking during the night! 😊😅

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 15/05/2022 08:33

I seem to remember that it was 16 weeks before I felt even the faintest flutter, and later is perfectly normal.

leah3 · 15/05/2022 08:35

@Regenbogen22 @GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER thank you both 💖 I keep trying to remind myself that every pregnancy is different but I’m probably the biggest over thinker on the planet which doesn’t help x
