@arianasky Yay! That's so exciting! 💙

barneymcgroo · 12/06/2022 19:20

Haha, just posted that using the 💙 emoji from my 'recently used' emojis. No sign of the pink one on there... A very boy-centric thread!

Tulip1112 · 12/06/2022 19:55

@arianasky congratulations!! Lovely news 🌈💙x x

Bridgey8 · 12/06/2022 20:04

Boys are definitely taking over 💙

arianasky · 13/06/2022 08:34

Thank you all 💕💕 I have my first consultant appointment this morning because I have epilepsy, the epilepsy is controlled though, I'm not sure what happens at consultant appointments but guess we'll see 😂

Skl2021 · 13/06/2022 10:34

@arianasky good luck with your appointment 💕 they will probably just want to keep an eye on you xx

flowergarden16 · 13/06/2022 11:41

Has anyone else in this group had a placenta scan ? I have one on weds due to a previous c section (at least I assume that's why) and really hoping I will get to see baby/heartbeat. Feeling super anxious again, 17 weeks today x

Cruz86 · 13/06/2022 11:44

Hi everyone! I haven't been on here in soooo long, been busy with birthdays and then went on holiday last week which was very much needed! How are you all?

Congratulations @arianasky, another boy!! They are taking over this thread aren't they! 💙

Congratulations to everyone who's had a positive scan in the last couple of weeks too, I've had a little scroll through but there's so much to catch up on amongst the hoards of washing I've got to do 😂

I'm 19+3 today and feeling movement every day now, my bump is massive and I'm also feeling braxton hicks every now and then too. Crazy.

Anyway, hope you're all looking after yourselves and welcome to all of the newbies too 🥰

That's lovely news @Cruz86 Smile

arianasky · 13/06/2022 13:31

@Skl2021 it literally was a 1 minute appointment 😂 just asked what medication I'm on and if I've told my epilepsy nurse a bit of a waste of time tbh all the way to the hospital for that and an hour and 15 minute wait to be seen 🙄. But they did find protein and two other things in my urine so they're sending it off as it may be another water infection. Im hoping it's just that and not something worse 🤞🏻

@flowergarden16 I haven't had a scan just for a placenta but I had a scan yesterday and the sonographer showed me the placenta and explained where it was etc so guessing you'd see baby aswell 🤞🏻

@Cruz86 ah amazing news 🌈🌈

flowergarden16 · 13/06/2022 13:32

Thanks @arianasky I asked my midwife and she said I should get to see baby quickly but won't be a full scan x

Skl2021 · 13/06/2022 13:35

@arianasky yes my first consultant appointment was useless too just asked stuff she should already know then I won't see her again until 32 weeks 🤦 oh hopefully it's nothing to worry about! You don't have much luck with water infections do you 🙈 luckily my urine was clear today I had a midwife appointment 🙌 xx

moomoose · 13/06/2022 13:41

Hope everyone had a nice weekend - congrats to @arianasky!

Sorry for the TMI post, but has anyone else had green/yellow discharge? It's quite snotty looking, and definitely didn't look red/brown - but I'm so anxious about everything that it's freaked me out.

I can self-refer to EPU - should I do that or am I wildly over-reacting to something everyone experiences?

Last week I had awful pain in my pelvis on the right hand side, and now today the discharge has started. Some cramping, but nothing like last week. After the pain didn't settle down within a few hours last week I spoke to 111, and they said if it didn't fade or get worse, I didn't need to worry. It calmed down within the next 30 mins so I didn't do anything.

Skl2021 · 13/06/2022 15:49

@Cruz86 hope you had a lovely holiday! Glad I'm not the only one feeling Braxton Hicks already 🙊 I hardly have a bump can't even tell I'm pregnant yet just frumpy 🤣 xx

arianasky · 13/06/2022 16:08

@Skl2021 I know it's a pain at least if it is a water infection I'm not in pain this time 🤞🏻 how was the midwife appointment?

Skl2021 · 13/06/2022 16:10

@arianasky everything went well she said it was all ok. Was only there about 5 mins usual checks and quick listen to baby and on my way 🤣 xx

sunnyd67 · 13/06/2022 16:23

I have just received my maternity application form from HR 🤯 they are asking me when I'm going on maternity leave, how am I meant to know this? 😁 I haven't even bought one baby thing and it just doesn't feel real.. ladies with previous children, when did you go on a maternity leave or ladies pregnant now - when are you planning your leave? My EDD is 3/11/22. I work in a school so it isn't very physically demanding job..

Skl2021 · 13/06/2022 16:38

@sunnyd67 I have just received my matb1 today from midwife and it says you need to give 4 weeks notice to employer. Your due another month after me so seems a bit early for them to be pushing you for an answer. If it's not physically demanding and you feel like you can do it then I would say try and work as long as you can so you get longer off. X

sunnyd67 · 13/06/2022 16:49

@Skl2021 they aren't pushing it but I don't obviously know when I need to hand it in, only received it today. Seems so far away.

Skl2021 · 13/06/2022 16:53

@sunnyd67 I think they will probably just want to be organized or sort cover etc. But like u say it's too early for u to decide yet! As long as you give them so much notice it shouldn't matter! I haven't got anything organised yet either or hardly bought anything 🤦 still living in denial 🤣 until he's here!! X

Tulip1112 · 13/06/2022 19:48

@sunnyd67 the mat leave dates is part of the statutory maternity leave piece- you have to inform your employer your pregnant and when you intend to start maternity leave by 15th week before EDD. You can change it with 28 days notice. I work in HR and it's diligent to share paperwork when you share you're pregnant, but you have until week 25 to make decisions 😊 nothing is ever set in stone. If you had baby before you mat leave was due to start, it automatically starts anyway- this happens sometimes when employees choose to have mat leave start on their EDD and take holiday before (or work up to it!)

sunnyd67 · 14/06/2022 07:43

@Skl2021 @Tulip1112 Thank you for your replies. I assume I don't need to do anything just yet.

Tulip1112 · 14/06/2022 07:48

@sunnyd67 just make sure you do it before week 25 so your mat leave is confirmed!! I will do mine when I have the MATB1 after 20 week scan ish. Thinking I will go off on 7 December (EDD17th) and then take holiday at the end of next year to have whole of 2022 off, as we accrue so much! X x

Skl2021 · 14/06/2022 08:34

@Tulip1112 I only just got my form yesterday and I'm 24 weeks so I only have a week to decide? X
