@FfayeN I went through the immune route with steroids, intralipids and progesterone so another school of thought. Best of luck ttc 💕

@Confusedmumof4maybe5 Congrats! It's so tough. I found that taking time for myself and chilling helped. I would get more anxious if I was doing too much, at work etc. But I know it's exactly the opposite for other people, that it helps them just being busy and distracted. I am not particularly a person of faith but I also found in this pregnancy that praying and being grateful helped me.

@Annny27 I use neils yard mothers balm and I love it! Its very thick and moisturising (I think it has bee wax and oils). Completely natural which is very important to me.

arianasky · 29/05/2022 15:50

@Annny27 ah that's lovely 🥰 I use palmers cocoa butter stretch mark cream, I have faded stretch marks from gaining and losing weight as a teenager so know I'm prone to them but it's a lovely moisturiser to use and smells amazing!

@barneymcgroo ah fair enough, did they just tell you at a scan you have an anterior placenta?

Skl2021 · 29/05/2022 15:52

@arianasky I think I felt mine around 16/17 weeks but I also have anterior placenta this time and I'm still not feeling as much as I did with my other pregnancies. It definitely is making my anxiety worse. X

arianasky · 29/05/2022 16:13

@Skl2021 I get the worry I mean I'm only 15 weeks but I'm panicking and thinking what If I don't feel it or somethings wrong, it's so silly because I know I'm still early on and I don't know if I have an anterior placenta but would like to feel something for reassurance? I do think I've felt flutters but I can't tell if it's that all so confusing 😂

Skl2021 · 29/05/2022 16:18

@arianasky your still very early some people don't feel it until 20+ weeks. And this is your first baby isn't it? So you don't know what your looking for. So I would say it's completely normal and u will eventually feel it! I'm sure my first pregnancy it was after 20 weeks until I noticed as I hadn't a clue what it felt like 🙈 I'm nearly 22 weeks and still not feeling consistant movement so still not getting reasurance but I know we're so desperate for it in these Inbetween weeks! I have my re scan tomorrow and the scanxiety is back 🤦 xx

barneymcgroo · 29/05/2022 16:25

@arianasky She told me, though the midwife bath 16w said she thought it was too. Explained why I was getting nothing!

arianasky · 29/05/2022 17:29

@Skl2021 yeah still early it's just the anxiety getting to me in between scans I have a private one booked for 2 weeks today so hopefully that'll ease it a bit, I'm sure all will be fine lovely 💕

@barneymcgroo ah ok thank you

Skl2021 · 29/05/2022 17:35

@arianasky yes it's such a long wait between 12 and 20 week scan that's why I booked a gender scan just to break the time up! Just take it a day at a time your scan will soon be here 🙌 x

Srx1 · 29/05/2022 17:59

So is the round ligament pain the short sharp pain you get when you roll over or cough/laugh in a weird position? @sunnyd67

Does anyone get ocassional discomfort in the lower tummy area? That weird feeling that you also get during periods - but not cramps, more like pressure/burning sensation? That lasts a bit longer than just a few seconds?I had that the other day on/off. Also felt some pressure on my left ovary - on my early scan the sonographer told me that is the one I ovulated from so I wonder if it is still the same thing..

I was also told I have anterior placenta during my dating scan. And my midwife told me not to expect flutters until 20weeks anyway.. @barneymcgroo

speake1 · 29/05/2022 18:34

@FfayeN i also went down the immune route so high dose folic acid, prednisone, clexane injections & progesterone pessaries xx

arianasky · 29/05/2022 18:40

@Srx1 I've been having those exact pains you just described like what you have at period but not painful like cramps and the round ligament pains aswell

sunnyd67 · 29/05/2022 19:43

@arianasky I felt little bubbling at the end of week 15, now 17 weeks and feeling some strong kicks at times and you can see them as well! Usually before I go to bed and when I'm laying quite still.

@Confusedmumof4maybe5 I'm still feeling very anxious, so no tips, I wish time would make it easier but it doesn't seem to shift 😢

@Srx1 I do get sharp pain if I turn quickly or sneeze, but I also get the stretching/burning feeling on my right side very low down - I don't know what it is.

Tulip1112 · 29/05/2022 20:23

@FfayeN hi lovely, I'm on progesterone (cyclogest) this is my 3rd pregnancy after 2 miscarriages and I had to go to the EPU for a viability scan at 6 weeks after some bleeding before they prescribed it. I had a big hematoma as well that they saw on the scan so they automatically prescribed it, fortunately for me I didn't have to beg! (I was very prepared to!). Also doing 75mg aspirin per day.

I'm officially 10+5 now so the furthest I have ever got! 🙏🤞🏻🌈 x x x

siobhanmt247 · 29/05/2022 20:29

Hi everyone
So I'm probably just incredible emotional and hormonal but I am so worried about my 12 week scan after the mmc last year. It's all I think about. I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and happy I've got so fat but I just want the next 2 weeks to be up. I'm watching this is us and one of the characters is talking about her pregnancy and baby with such certainty that it's going to be ok. Not even worried something might go wrong. I just wish I could feel that certain and happy. I feel like I've been robbed of what should be a happy experience. I'm sure many if you know how I feel. Not sure what I want to achieve about posting this but needed to get it out

FfayeN · 29/05/2022 20:31

Thanks for your responses. I have auto immune hypothyroid but Prof Quenby doesn't seem to think steroids will help, it's such a worry to know where to turn for advice for the best option vs how invasive some treatments and testing can be. I guess I hope for the best, she is the specialist I suppose.

@Tulip1112 do you have any other underlining issues you know of?

@speake1 thanks for your previous messages I'm so happy to hear all is going well ☺️

Tulip1112 · 29/05/2022 20:32

@siobhanmt247 I think it's good to get it off your chest and to talk to people who understand. I am so with you lovely, I am 11 weeks on Tuesday and just CANNOT WAIT for the first trimester at least to be over. I feel so jealous when I hear women making plans for the future when they find out they're pregnant and being super excited. I try and remind myself everyday "today, I am pregnant and I am grateful for this" and it kind of helps. I take things 1 day at a time but long for the day I feel movement, I can know it's alive and I can get excited to plan. I hope the next 2 weeks flies by for you. Always here if you want to chat x x

Tulip1112 · 29/05/2022 20:34

@FfayeN I chose not to have private testing so I don't know about underlying things 😒but my first 2 pregnancies the growth was 10 then 14 days behind so they think baby wasn't getting what it needed before the placenta could take over so the progesterone has hopefully helped that x x

siobhanmt247 · 29/05/2022 20:44

Thank you @Tulip1112 . Taking it one day at a time is definitely helping. Every day I'm not bleeding there's a sigh of relief.

Tulip1112 · 29/05/2022 20:47

@siobhanmt247 I have had 2 massive bleeds now from burst hematomas, so two emergency trips to the EPU with my heart in my throat. Not bleeding is worth a massive sigh of relief!! I hope one day we have our babies in our arms and we can forget this angst 🙏🌈 x x

arianasky · 29/05/2022 21:02

@sunnyd67 oohh that's so exciting I think I've felt the bubbling fluttery feeling and I only feel it in bed aswell

Srx1 · 29/05/2022 21:43

Oohh I’m glad you understand what I mean @arianasky @sunnyd67 It’s hard to describe the feeling but I think pressure/burning is the closest to it, right? I’m hoping it’s the womb stretching.

@siobhanmt247 I think we all know how you feel… and think exact same things! Hang in there, try to stay in the present moment and occupy your mind with other things. I know it’s easier said than done, I’ve been constantly counting down days until the next appt that will give me some reassurance.🍀

FfayeN · 29/05/2022 22:34

Thanks @Tulip1112
I apologise if anything I've asked is triggering. I am so looking forward to being pregnant and on this post in the future, wishing you all a continued positive journey 😘

Tulip1112 · 30/05/2022 06:05

@FfayeN 🙏🤞🏻🌈🌸💛

arianasky · 30/05/2022 14:15

Has anyone else had thrush? TMI sorry but I've got it at the mo and just wondering for anyone that's had it while pregnant did it seem to be a reoccurring thing?

Sassy144 · 30/05/2022 15:49

I had my early scan today, it was booked for tomorrow but we brought it forward a day. All is well so far which is a huge relief, incredible to see the little heartbeat ❤️ I'm measuring a couple of days ahead at 8 weeks too.
