@Skl2021 I don't know why but I just have a feeling it's a boy obviously I could be wrong but I have a feeling it's a boy 🤷🏻‍♀️ I've booked a gender scan for 3 weeks Sunday so hopefully will find out then 💕

Skl2021 · 20/05/2022 14:28

@arianasky aww lovely not much longer now 🙌 let's see if your feeling is correct 💙 so glad everything went ok 💕🎉 xx

arianasky · 20/05/2022 15:18

Arwen7 · 20/05/2022 17:26

dollface22 · 20/05/2022 17:40

My 7 year old has just come from school covered in chicken pox ! rang my gp who said In should be fine if exposed if i had as should be fine but arranged a blood test to check my immunity anyway ! A little stressed but jus gettin on with it x

Skl2021 · 20/05/2022 18:34

@dollface22 my 6 year old had it a few weeks back I couldn't get in touch with my midwife and I had covid at the time but I was fairly certain I had it when I was young. I was fine and hopefully you will be it's good your getting the blood test to check 🤞 x

Lizm1990 · 20/05/2022 19:37

Thankyou about reassuring me about the whole birth thing 😊 it’s definitely scary for a first timer but I have to remind myself millions of women or years on end have given birth and we now have so much support, and I then think of the days centuries ago with no help etc.

@arianasky congratulations that’s amazing 🎉

@dollface22 im counting down the days too, seems like forever, I’m waiting until the normal scan for me, 5 weeks and 6 days until I’m 12 weeks (not counting or anything 🤣🤣🤦‍♀️)

arianasky · 20/05/2022 20:57

Thank you all 💕

@Lizm1990 omg I know I always wonder how they coped years and years ago 😬

dollface22 · 20/05/2022 22:01

Thanks all ! I think I've got thrush aswell! I need to go to the pharmacy tomorrow! Yes I did think about waiting but I can't as I had a mc last year and need reassurance.
My mum said when she was pregnant with me she had to send off a wee sample in the post and wait weeks for a result back ! 🤣🤣

I'm goin to test tomorrow on a clear blue weeks indicator as my first one was a first response and I've been testing daily with cheapies and it's giving me bad anxiety so I've taken the decision after this last test to stop testing daily!

When is everyone telling family etc ?? Xx

Lizm1990 · 21/05/2022 09:18

@dollface22 i did three tests and stopped as for me I had a MMC at 9 weeks but found out at 11, and didn’t start miscarrying until 12 weeks so I know the hcg hormone that those tests pick up is a useless test for me as my body thought Baby was still here when that wasn’t the case for 3 weeks, it’s the scan I’m super nervous about, I just can’t bear hearing those words again. Hopefully I don’t. I’m not telling my wider family until after my first scan, we have told parents though and some close friends who knew about my MMC. When are you thinking?

arianasky · 21/05/2022 09:38

@dollface22 I tested daily from 8dpo which was positive to 21dpo 🙈 I used FRER and easy@home every day and I used the cb weeks indicator aswell. I had a MMC last October a CP in December and a MC in jan and feb so I was on pins! It's hard for me to say but maybe just using the weeks indicator would be best testing everyday really does take a toll mentally. I'm 13 + 4 now so I have everything crossed for you 💕🌈

Lizm1990 · 21/05/2022 10:03

How many calories does everyone eat? I’m struggling with letting go, prior to my positive test I was walking everyday and dieting to 1300 calories a day and lost a stone (what I put on after my MMC) but now I’m worried about piling it on. Im only 6+2 so very early days, my BMI is 31.2 based on weight today and I know pregnancy you do put a bit on anyway to support the baby, so I’m eating 1950 calories and said to myself I’ll do 4 walks a week, only 3km ones so nothing major. What do you all do or do you just relax and not bother worrying?

dollface22 · 21/05/2022 10:16

How many weeks are you now and are you having any early scans @Lizm1990 ?
Ive only told my partner mum n best friend! We will probably announce after 12 weeks! 💕 how about you x

scoutcat · 21/05/2022 10:20

@dollface22 I told my sister and best friend straight away as they've both had miscarriages too, and then when it was confirmed not to be ectopic again told my parents and my mother in law. I will let other friends know when I've had my 12 week scan on Tuesday!

siobhanmt247 · 21/05/2022 11:35

@Lizm1990 i have a coach and before I frll pregnant was following an exercise programme and counting calories. I'd lost 7 stone but gained about a stone since my last pregnancy and mc but my coach is really working with me on body acceptance. She doesn't really want ne counting calories and I've been too tired to exercise like I used to

speake1 · 21/05/2022 12:52

@Lizm1990 i don’t calorie count, just make sure I’m eating a healthy balanced diet & get in my 10,000 steps a day but my BMI is on the low side so I’m not sure if that’s the right advice or not. I think the midwife would be able to give you advice? Im sure if you’re listening to your body, eating everything in moderation & doing gentle exercise when you feel up to it you’ll be fine xxx

Skl2021 · 21/05/2022 16:17

@Cruz86 congratulations! 💙💐

HoneyLemon29 · 21/05/2022 19:33

Hi everyone :) hope everyone is ok and congrats on scans. I had a gender scan today and also am having a boy 💙💙💙

Lizm1990 · 21/05/2022 19:35

@Cruz86 congratulations 💙

@dollface22 im 6+2 and I’ve decided not to have an early scan, as I had one last time and there was no HB and I don’t want to pay for a private scan if that happens again 🤞 it doesn’t though 😊

@siobhanmt247 & @speake1 thank-you I’m defo going to speak to my midwife as I always get tempted by food and need a goal to aim for.

barneymcgroo · 21/05/2022 19:37

@Cruz86 and @HoneyLemon29 💙💙💙 So exciting! Congratulations!
