current line up
ds1 13yrs
dd 5
ds2 9 mths

Had unprotected SEX ONCE on day after AF finished.
Infact have had sex once in the last 8 weeks...
I'm NEVER EVER doing it again
FFS DP is on waiting list for vasectomy.
How the fuck will I cope, I leave long age gaps for a reason...
Shit shit shit.
am being a wimp as house is big, car can get an extra seat, ds1 and dd and even ds2 are angels.

But DP works long hours gone at 6am home at 8pm
Not sure I can do it on my own.
What if i have not finished bf ds2 by then?

omg

well
Congratulations!

And I guess yes you will cope

motherinferior · 10/01/2008 14:22

fcketyfcktyfck

Think about all your options. And which ones you like least. If you see what I mean.

Piffle · 10/01/2008 14:24

No question about continuing the pregnancy (assuming it's all ok and fate plays the full hand -I've had 2 miscarriages and one ectopic before so am philosophical that things can happen)
But am just ermmm terrified

omg Piff

I am only a few cabbage fields away if you need anything at all xx

motherinferior · 10/01/2008 14:26

Well, it's terrifying: but it sounds like you've made up your mind ...so congratulations!

throckenholt · 10/01/2008 14:28

small gaps are not so bad - the kids help to entertain each other. You will cope (once you get over the shock).

lulumama · 10/01/2008 14:29

you'll cope

everyone on mumsnet who lives within a 20 mile radius will help you

you still have all baby stuff from DS2

you will tandem feed if you are still BF ds2

you will cope

it might not be easy, but you will get there..

is an au pair/ tea time girl/ nanny a possibility?

Piffle · 10/01/2008 14:29

DP will need smelling salts...
He suspected I was as my periods are always dead regular.
But he is locked in a bunker all day until 6pm and I am freaking out.

OP posts:
Piffle · 10/01/2008 14:30

No I have no baby stuff everything ds2 has grown out of I gave to my exp and his wife and their 5 wk old boy
Mind you can ask for it back I guess
And when we knew ds2 was a boy and on account of him being our LAST baby, all dd's stuff went to a friend as well...
Oh well never mind, I do enjoy shopping and knitting

OP posts:
lulumama · 10/01/2008 14:31

piffle

I have a garage full of baby stuff incl moses basket/travel system. I have a spare room full of nursery furniture, incl cotbed, baby changer and wardrobe. I'm not going to be needing it so if someone can make it down here to pick it up then we can work something out.

congratulations.

ladytophamhatt · 10/01/2008 14:37

Ohhh and i'd given all our stuff away too.

I'll tell you..we're cosmic tiwns. I have no doubt it'll be fine.

SorenLorensen · 10/01/2008 14:39

Bloody hell, Piffle (it's marthamoo, in case you didn't know)...blimey. Well...er...congratulations I'd be in shock too - but you know, you have 9 months to get used to the idea. Yes, cake.

againagainTigerFeet · 10/01/2008 14:40

Piffle we've got loads of stuff, moses basket, cot, girls clothes, muslins, i could go on and on... you are welcome to borrow/have whatever you need (I am hoping to need it back at some point though!)

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 10/01/2008 14:41

You lucky, lucky thing!

You will be fine.

whomovedmychocolate · 10/01/2008 14:43

LOL - I also have fertility issues and was stunned to find myself pregnant - I'll have a gap of 20 months. The good thing is hopefully your LO will be walking and hey, get all the nappies out the way. Think how happy you would have been two years ago to find yourself unexpectedly pregnant.

It'll be okay. You will cope, you are a mum already and we are tough little buggers when it comes down to it!

Oh and MASSIVE congratulations btw. I've only just finished the complete denial stage of my pregnancy and after that there is a 'woo-hoo' stage too! Although I your case I suspect it was a little too much woo-hoo which got you into this predicament
