Did they tell us the wrong gender?

We went for a 16 week gender scan yesterday and since being told 'it's a girl', I've just not been able to shake the feeling they got it wrong.

We have a son but didn't find out his gender so I don't have his scan to compare and anything I've saw online just looks grainy.

Can anyone look at my scan and tell me whether this matches their girl shots?

I'll find out for sure at 20 weeks but that feels a long way off at this stage.

I just want to add we don't care whether baby is a boy or girl, just curious about this scan.

Yes, looks like a girl to me from the second picture.

Second one defo looks like a girl! This was my 16 week scan I had last week!

I think girl two. When I had early scan with DD they said they could see two white lines which indicated a girl. Your first pic has two white lines!!

We were told girl at 20 weeks.

Thankfully I had extra scans due to a health issue and it revealed DS is very much a boy!

Yep, that's a girl! You'll probably get a better look at 20 weeks anyway.

I can never see anything. You could have told me your scan was a pond or the universe or a close up of a heart and I would have believed you!!!!

I called the clinic and they were nice enough to let me come back in for another check. Different sonographer this time and she confirmed girl x

I'd say girl too. I'm expecting a little boy (currently 22 weeks) and when I had to attend MAU recently and a doctor scanned me, he told me baby looked absolutely fine before bursting out laughing. He asked if I knew the sex and I said my consultant thought it was a boy, so he turned the monitor towards me to show me why he was laughing. He'd managed to get a view of the underside of my baby (some call it a potty shot but I hate that term) and all the boy's bits were so obvious there was no way it could be mistaken. I laughed too.

I agree scans aren't always clear before about 16+ weeks and sonographers can and do occasionally get it wrong. Honestly though I think you're carrying a little girl there. Either way I hope baby is healthy and you're both doing well.

Hi all, any advice on my gender scan. Yes I can see the ‘bits’ sticking out for a boy but I can also see the 3 ‘hamburger’ lines that you get with a girl…….
