Skl2021 · 15/04/2022 15:17

@calimc83 were lucky we have beaches all around us so can go anytime well the kids would but yes it's Baltic 🤣🙈 how far are you now? Xx

speake · 15/04/2022 16:03

Norberta · 15/04/2022 16:14

Congrats @speake that’s amazing news!

Skl2021 · 15/04/2022 16:20

@speake lovely news 💞✨ xx

flowergarden16 · 15/04/2022 16:23

Yay @speake !

flowergarden16 · 15/04/2022 16:24

@Pearl93 I had similar and had a scan at EPU and they say a GS and embryo. Went back a week later and got a heart beat and yolk sac. They might well be able to see something today. Good luck

arianasky · 15/04/2022 16:34

@speake ah amazing news!! So happy for you 🌈🌈

@Skl2021 we're just going to show them the scan pic, last time we did a big announcement and obviously I then had the MMC so I'm more anxious this time but still would like them to know

Skl2021 · 15/04/2022 16:40

@arianasky that will be a lovely Easter present for them 😍 xx

arianasky · 15/04/2022 16:44

@Skl2021 yes they'll be so excited, although I think they have an idea since I haven't drunk the last few times I've seen them and used a water infection, a low calorie diet and work as excuses 😂😂 they know I'd still have at least a glass normally so I'm sure they have their suspicions 🙈

Skl2021 · 15/04/2022 16:50

@arianasky IV never heard anyone use the low calorie diet excuse 🤣🤣 that's so funny yes they might have an idea! 🙊 We told my sil the other night and I'm sure she knew already as she wasn't as shocked as I was expecting from her and hardly said anything so think mil has let it slip to people 🤦 xx

Norberta · 15/04/2022 16:59

Hi everyone it’s so great to see all this positive scan news. For those of us still waiting for that I found this research paper strangely comforting. It explores the effects of PTSD from previous loss on ultrasound scans.
In the last couple of days as my scan approaches (and as I approach the time when my last MMC was discovered) I’ve found myself going completely mental, getting upset all the time and just generally convincing myself that the same outcome is inevitable. Turns out this is PTSD! Like I said I have found this helpful as it makes me realise this is a biological response to past trauma and not necessarily a premonition that another MMC will happen. Happy reading! www.researchgate.net/profile/Joann-Oleary/publication/233280907_The_trauma_of_ultrasound_during_a_pregnancy_following_perinatal_loss/links/02e7e51bcbdf4aaced000000/The-trauma-of-ultrasound-during-a-pregnancy-following-perinatal-loss.pdf?origin=publication_detail

Weirdly, I had some toast for the first time in ages @Tofu35 and that's what made me feel funny too! I've also had a less than productive day 😂

@Skl2021 we've got a busy weekend seeing both sides of the family! I'm looking forward to it but at the same time I'm exhausted too 😴

Body boarding sounds amazing @flowergarden16! Hope you had fun.

@arianasky my nipples are really dry at the moment, not so much the texture, more just flaky skin 🤢😆

Hi @Pearl93, sorry to hear you've started bleeding 😞 I was scanned at around 5+4 and they could only see the gestational sac and yolk sac, no embryo yet. If you do go for the private scan, I'd just be mindful that you may be paying to not really see anything at the moment. Good luck.

Yayyyy!! Congratulations @speake. What fantastic news, so happy for you 🥰❤️

Xx

Skl2021 · 15/04/2022 18:15

@Cruz86 have a lovely weekend ☀️ try and have a nap in between if u can 🙊 xx

arianasky · 15/04/2022 18:15

@Cruz86 yes that's what I've got it it's a weird feeling 😂 thought I was imagining it at first 🙈

@Skl2021 funniest thing is I said I was watching my calories so would stick to Diet Coke and we were eating at an Indian 😂😂 they must have thought I was so daft haha

Skl2021 · 15/04/2022 18:19

@arianasky definitely onto you 🤣🤦 tucking away into an Indian and saying your on a low calorie diet! That's hilarious 😆 at least u had a diet coke to convince them 🤣🙊 xx

arianasky · 15/04/2022 18:25

@Skl2021 I panicked when they asked why I wasn't drinking and that was the excuse that came out 😂

barneymcgroo · 15/04/2022 18:28

@flowergarden16 I went sledging (quite tame sledging) with both my previous pregnancies. No probs reported thus far!

Ugh, thought I was over the nausea, but driving to my in-laws today and chucked up in the car. (In a bucket. I am nothing if not PREPARED!). Bleurgh.

Lovely to hear such great scan news!

@cruz My bump is odd. When standing, it sticks out massively. Lying down, virtually disappears. But this week, when lying down, I can feel where the baby is (apparently it pops out of your pelvis or something around week 14). And keep thinking I might be feeling movements...

calimc83 · 15/04/2022 18:34

@Skl2021 well the sun finally came out about 5pm so it improved! 😆 I really miss the seaside...was born and spent my childhood by the sea, I love it up here as do my 2. I'm 6+3 xx

calimc83 · 15/04/2022 18:36

@speake fantastic news xx

calimc83 · 15/04/2022 18:40

@Norberta Thanks, that's a really interesting read xx

PeoniesInJune · 15/04/2022 19:01

Hi ladies Smile

I’m currently 11+2 with my first pregnancy in over a decade. I had three miscarriages in under a year in my early 20’s and everyday I’m shocked to still be pregnant. At the same time I can’t believe the amount of trauma that has been unearthed just by being pregnant again. I’m sure everyone here can completely relate.

Since my previous pregnancies I’ve had a LLETZ procedure for CIN3 cells and I’m so scared it will affect my pregnancy. Has anyone gone through something similar?

FfayeN · 15/04/2022 19:15

@speake congratulations such wonderful news 🥰 xxx
