I've had 4 miscarriages before, nothing hugely conclusive from all my investigations, now 6 weeks pregnant and had my first scan today.

Heart beat was there but very slow, is that normal?! Ultrasonographer avoided the question when I asked!

Ahh we won't have Jeremy Kyle to keep us occupied this time round @calimc83 😂

I'm so sorry there's a lot of anxiety for people at the moment. It seems to be with impending scans which is, of course, completely understandable. I don't think we'll ever go into a scan feeling 100% and that excitement has been tainted by our past experiences 😞 I have so much faith that we have a lucky thread though and I really hope we'll all have our healthy babies in our arms at the end of this journey.

@Arwen7 I don’t feel as pregnant as I did earlier last week, my tummy hasn’t felt pregnant shaped in the morning.

I’m exhausted by late afternoon/ early evening though.

My breast tenderness comes and goes.

I’m just filled with uncertainty X

@Cruz86 that’s a lovely positive message thanks. If I forget about the anxiety, scan, past experiences, etc for a moment I also feel everything is ok and will be ok for all of us 🙏🏼

@LovesFood1987 I am so sorry to hear about your losses. I can’t believe the sonographer didn’t address your concerns. When I went for the first scan this pregnancy (6+2) heartbeat was only 99bpm. The Doctor asked me to come back the following week as she wanted to see a faster heartbeat. I went at 7+2 and heartbeat had picked up to 150bpm. So I reckon the heartbeat had just started beating around that time and it was just a bit early. I would say it’s very reassuring to see a heartbeat at 6w. It can start anytime from 5 and a half weeks or so and it starts at around 85bpm apparently but it should increase by 7w. I was sick worried during that week but it turned out to be normal. Do you think you will have more scans? What was the heartbeat?

@SupportNeed I could have written that message myself. I’m always more bloated in the evening and my breasts are not sore every day (like today they are not). And yes the tiredness is relentless though! It is the not knowing that creates so much worry. So hopefully I will have good news tomorrow and can reassure you it’s just common to feel like this x

We just need a little sprinkling of hope @Arwen7 🥰

@SupportNeed my boobs stopped hurting at around 8.5/9 weeks so I know easier said than done, but try not to worry too much!

After feeling fairly relaxed since I got my BFP the anxiety has well and truly set in for me now. I had quite strong cramps last night, I had to take paracetamol, and though I know it can be normal in early pregnancy I can't help but worry and check every time I go to the loo!

So today would have been my due date 😣💔 Feel very numb and trying to hold it together. It's gone so quick. Miserable day here so need to try and keep busy.

@calimc83 I've been telling all the sonographers how scared I am after miscarriage and they have e been great at really quickly updating me and saying what they can see. So maybe do that? X
