@Skl2021 yes deffo - very sporadic. I still hold my breath every time I go to the loo. I keep getting odd pains and back ache... just keeping everything crossed and trying not to fall down any google rabbit holes!! Xx

Skl2021 · 01/05/2022 18:15

@Bridgey8 my pains have been quite bad today just hoping it's ligament or stretching 🤞 ohh I find myself going down the Google holes 🤦 I thought it was meant to get easier as time went on I think my anxiety is worse xx

Annny27 · 01/05/2022 18:31

@Skl2021 I think my anxiety may only start to get better once I feel baby regularly. I am 14 weeks and not felt anything yet which I am sure is normal

People who are further along or 2nd pregnancy - when did you feel first baby move?

Skl2021 · 01/05/2022 18:36

@Annny27 yes I'm hoping so but I think I might be waiting a bit longer as my placenta is anterior 🤦 Can't remember when I felt movement with my others sorry this is my 3rd. Hopefully u feel something over the next few weeks 🤞 xx

Sassy144 · 01/05/2022 18:53

@calimc83 I did feel fairly confident as I've felt the same as I did last time with quite a few symptoms, but you don't want to let yourself totally believe it in case you're disappointed. I tested early and had a little cry about bfn and now I feel silly haha. I forgot about the hunger pangs though, I'm ravenous!

Lou2022 · 01/05/2022 19:15

My 1st pregnancy when I had my daughter I had an anterior placenta but still felt first movements at 14 weeks!

Sassy144 · 01/05/2022 20:00

So I've got a spa day booked with my sister next weekend, I'm going to have to cancel my back massage and not go in the sauna and jacuzzi etc..! There's no way I'm going to be able to hide it from her 🙈 any tips?

sunnyd67 · 01/05/2022 20:01

Also joining the scananxiety bus, mine is on Saturday, 7th May, I'll be 14 weeks then

Annny27 · 01/05/2022 20:14

@Sassy144 I could have written this 2 months ago haha. I called the spa ahead and asked if they could take my friend in to the room first for her treatment and then obviously I just stayed waiting for her for an hour haha. And I also said I had anemia so couldn't use sauna and she didn't seem to clock on....

Annny27 · 01/05/2022 20:15

@Lou2022 that's exciting! What did it feel like? I have posterior one

@Skl2021 I guess you know what movements you are looking for then!

Tulip1112 · 01/05/2022 20:16

@Sassy144 could you get a facial instead of a massage or something? Maybe say you've got a Headache do don't want to get too hot in saunas etc x x

Skl2021 · 01/05/2022 20:25

@sunnyd67 I think the scanxiety bus will be very busy! Good luck with your scan 💞 x

calimc83 · 01/05/2022 20:33

@Sassy144 I was convinced i was out as well as tested far too early! Ohh the hunger..I've just had a Chinese! 😬🙈😆 x

Sassy144 · 01/05/2022 21:00

@Annny27 oh bless you, that was very clever! @Tulip1112 yes I'm sure they can swap it to a facial instead, that will be nice. Headache is a good idea too, I suffer with migraines so that would be believable!

@calimc83 ooh lovely, I'm eating ice cream out of the tub hahah

Cruz86 · 01/05/2022 21:00

Ahhh congratulations @Sassy144 and welcome!! 🌈🥰

@Annny27 I'm 13+2 with my second child and I'm pretty certain I've been feeling the odd flutter here and there! I can tell the difference between that and wind bubbles 😂

@aesgriff I love girls clothes at the moment too! But, oddly, when I was pregnant with my son (didn't know he was a boy) I loved boys clothes more! Maybe it's a sign 🤷🏼‍♀️😆

Xx

@Sassy144 ha ha enjoy! A spa day will be lovely...but so hard to hide a pregnancy! Yeah u could swap to a facial or get your nails done instead? I've a 40th in a few weeks...with a hot tub I can't go in! Gonna have to try and hide the non drinking as well 🙈 ( might pretend I've forgotten my costume 😆😆) xx

Tulip1112 · 01/05/2022 22:05

@Sassy144 i think you should do that! You deserve a treat but one that won't make you worry about baby 🥰 I get migraines too so every time someone is in the hot tub, I'm like "nah headache today, don't want it to turn into a migraine" 🤷‍♀️they leave me alone then 😂 X x

sunnyd67 · 02/05/2022 08:16

Anyone on here who has been prescribed 5mg of folic acid? When did you stop or planning to stop? It's less clear info when it comes to high dose folic acid.

siobhanmt247 · 02/05/2022 08:56

Morning everyone. Does anyone know much about resting heart rate in pregnancy? Mines been about 10 beats higher since I found out but I feel like it's going down again now. I also slept through for the first time last week. I'd normally wake up for a few hours in the middle of the night. Freaking out a bit that something is wrong. I'm 7 weeks x

aesgriff · 02/05/2022 09:07

@Cruz86 @Arwen7 ok ladies this Doppler is not providing reassurance but serious stress!! After hours on and off on Friday I eventually found it but last night and this morning nothing.. do you ever not find it? I’m packing it away and sending it back! Xx

Cruz86 · 02/05/2022 09:24

Oh I'm so sorry it's causing you more stress @aesgriff. Definitely send it back, you don't need to deal with that extra worry! When have you been trying it? More in the morning or the evening? And have you been told you have an anterior placenta or anything? It took me longer than normal last night and I did start to panic, but just kept slowly moving it around and tilting it etc. Did you check right from your pubic bone to your belly button, all across the width of your stomach too? I really wouldn't recommend keeping it lovely xx

aesgriff · 02/05/2022 09:31

@Cruz86 I just caught 141bpm for about 2 seconds before it moved but could hear lots of swirling and almost wind noises so I think baby is very active! That’s enough for me just those 2 seconds and I’ll be sending it back tomorrow. Phew! I’ve tried morning and evening and I haven’t been told anything about placenta placement. I feel bruised from it too 🥹🤣 xx

Cruz86 · 02/05/2022 09:34

It is so hard to catch if baby moves around a lot @aesgriff 😂 Sometimes you'll find it on one side, then the other, then right in the centre! Ooh no, you shouldn't feel bruised from it! Sometimes pushing down too much is actually worse than lightly moving across, but yes, definitely send it back. Are you feeling flutters or anything yet or not quite? Xx

OP posts:
flowergarden16 · 02/05/2022 09:41

@siobhanmt247 mine is the same. It fluctuates so think to do with progesterone? X

aesgriff · 02/05/2022 09:41

@Cruz86 yep it’s deffo going back but I copied you and rented it so not missing out on a refund as such. Sometimes I can feel a sharp feeling, not like stretching pain, but almost feels like something might poke through my tummy but it’s my first so not sure what to expect! People have said to me about butterfly flutters but not sure I have felt
those yet. How about you? Xx
