@Skl2021 do the ring trick and let us know the results 😆😆 x

Artisticpiglet3 · 25/04/2022 17:45

Was just starting to feel a bit more positive and now I'm spotting again 🤦 9 weeks 4 days got my scan in a week and a half. Don't know how much more of this stress I can take. I'm not going epu again because to be honest I'd rather just live in a bubble for a week

Raindrops2015 · 25/04/2022 17:51

@Srx1 i heard that it can really ease off at 10 weeks for alot of people. I thought it was getting better around that time but this last week has been so bad so enjoy the extra energy and feeling well while you have it because it could come back with a vengeance!
@Artisticpiglet3 alot of people on this thread, myself included have all had spotting and everything has been alright. I'm on progesterone now. Was it brown or red spotting. You should call EPU about it if you haven't spoke to them about it before. The midwife at EPU scanned me after a spotting incident and told me I didn't need to get in touch with them if there was further spotting incidents. Only to get in touch if it got heavy.

Artisticpiglet3 · 25/04/2022 17:56

@Raindrops2015 originally had pink and red spotting at seven weeks. Had a scan at 7 weeks 6 days and they said everything was fine and they didn't know why it was doing it. It stopped after a few days and has started up again today brown. They told me to get back in touch if it hadn't stopped after two weeks but it did stop then started again x

Raindrops2015 · 25/04/2022 17:59

Brown is old blood and usually nothing to worry about

SupportNeed · 25/04/2022 18:31

Hello,

for those using progesterone.

Does anybody experience and dull aching feeling, almost in the ovaries area?

Some days I’m fine, but others it’s painful during and after inserting the medication X

I’ve been locked out for a while so I’m way behind. I hope everyone is doing well. Does anyone have any advice for what we can take for hay fever in pregnancy please? Really suffering this time round xx

Hi, my GP told me me Clarityn (loratidine) is fine to take when it's really bad. I've had to take it twice so far as it was unbearable.

The hayfever "wipes" are good if you have itchy eyes. They soothe them. Saline nasal spray helped to clear congestion so I could breath a little.
Wear sunglasses - even if it isn't sunny they block out the pollen!

Willow11981 · 25/04/2022 19:40

@flowergarden16 …….. the private gynaecologist that prescribes me Cyclogest suggested 14 weeks to me, well he said 12-14 so I’ll stick with 14 if I make it that far!

@Tulip1112 …:.. good luck for tomorrow!! Will keep everything crossed for you! X

sunnyd67 · 25/04/2022 20:28

@SupportNeed I get that now and again, I mostly get pain in my right ovary, but that's the ovary I ovulated from

sunnyd67 · 25/04/2022 20:31

@flowergarden16 my original prescription from IVF clinic was 12 weeks, but I read some info and asked EPU and they said 16 weeks, so I got another month of cyclogest

sunnyd67 · 25/04/2022 20:33

Anyone suffering from sciatica in early pregnancy? I have this pain which I can only guess is sciatica from what I have read, the less I do during the day the less it hurts, but now I'm back in work after Easter holidays and I can really feel the pain 😭

flowergarden16 · 25/04/2022 20:40

Thanks @sunnyd67

SupportNeed · 25/04/2022 21:05

@sunnyd67, oh really, that’s mad isn’t it?

I was prescribed the medication by a dr at the emergency unit and so I can’t contact them for further advice.

I don’t know far into my pregnancy I’m taking the medication until.

I had to call for a repeat prescription and was placed in a queue for two hours, then got cut off, and got placed in another queue for a further 40 minutes. It’s a good thing I was on half term otherwise I would have been in a complete frenzy X

Srx1 · 25/04/2022 23:03

I would also like to know regarding hayfever.. it’s been bothering me these days. I will ask my midwife at my appt.

@Raindrops2015 yes I heard about that and I can’t imagine the nausea coming back randomly at this point but who knows.. we’ll
see… I’m really hoping it is all ok. How long was your nausea on a break?

Raindrops2015 · 25/04/2022 23:22

@Srx1 i had a week with exception of one day where I felt kinda normal. Now I'm back to feeling permanently hungover. It is normal for sickness to go away at 10 weeks as placenta is taking over

Prayingformyrainbow93 · 26/04/2022 08:23

@sunnyd67 Yes! I have (what I think is) sciatica at the moment and it’s been ongoing for over 3 weeks now - never had something like this before! I spoke to the GP and they told me it’s not common to have back pain so early caused by pregnancy but also that she couldn’t say it wasn’t the reason? But exactly the same as you, laying down I’m absolutely fine, do anything short walk for example and it’s there again! Right in my right buttocks - literal pain in the ass!! Xx

flowergarden16 · 26/04/2022 09:12

@Raindrops2015 I feel hungover too! It's the worst isn't it :-)

Cruz86 · 26/04/2022 11:22

Good luck with your scan today @Tulip1112 🌈

Ah maybe I don't have it then @Prayingformyrainbow93. I've read that the discharge I'm having could be a sign of GBS but my urine was clear, so think I'm all good! Hope it hasn't freaked you out too much hearing that you have it. I'm good thanks! My dating scan is tomorrow eeek. How are you?

If you haven't already had your scan @Raindrops2015, good luck! 🌈 And yes, I'm definitely showing already. MIL commented on my growing belly at the weekend, there's no hiding it now! My sickness has been easing off over the past few days and I'm 12+4 today. Hope yours eases soon!

Have a lovely time at Centre Parcs @1stTimeTina!

Haha aww hopefully you will find out @Skl2021! When is your 20 week scan? Yes I'm feeling good now thank you, sickness has subsided 🙌🏻

Hope all is okay @Artisticpiglet3. So many people have had bleeding/spotting in this thread!

Xx

@Cruz86 still some faint spotting but I've just found the heartbeat on my Doppler for a hundred percent certainty so feeling a little calmer

Tulip1112 · 26/04/2022 11:35

Morning!! Scan went well! Little 6 week bean with a strong heartbeat. Pocket of blood to potentially come out so trying to prepare myself for that. Got my cyclogest prescription to so I am feeling good for today 🥰🌈 thanks for all the luck!! X x

Willow11981 · 26/04/2022 11:52

Amazing news @Tulip1112 !!! X

Tulip1112 · 26/04/2022 11:52

@Willow11981 🥰🙏 long road ahead but it's a positive step! 💛

SupportNeed · 26/04/2022 13:10

Is anybody experiencing discharge from the progesterone medication?

I have to wear a pad every day X

Raindrops2015 · 26/04/2022 13:19

@SupportNeed if you put the pessary up your bum it's less messy, also less cramping if you get that. I only did it vaginally once and it was a right mess!
@Cruz86 had my scan. I'm 13 weeks, baby was measuring 13 weeks 5 days. Everything looking really healthy. I was shaking and near crying again before the scan. I have very bad anxiety about scans still. They said I have a very large cyst they need to keep an eye on and they are putting me on claxine injections. When is your scan?

@Tulip1112 great news!

arianasky · 26/04/2022 13:39

Amazing news @Tulip1112 🎉🌈

Sorry I haven't been commenting much my anxiety is through the roof and I've got another 9 days until next scan, I'm having twinges on right side that are pinchy not painful but I'm just so scared 😞 pregnancy after loss is so scary 😞
