@speake1 thankyou ❤️ xx

calimc83 · 24/04/2022 20:30

@Skl2021 I totally get that. I've booked a scan for a few weeks time - I can't even think about it at the mo as gives me so much anxiety. Gosh pregnancy after MC is a minefield...I think I need to come off all the MC threads on Mumsnet as it's not helping my anxiety! Xx

Skl2021 · 24/04/2022 21:28

@calimc83 I'm ok booking the scan but then the few days before have been hell anxiety just takes over 🙈 I'm sure everything will be ok with you aswell ❤️ we just have to try and stay positive 🙌 I was finding myself also reading miscarriage threads and torturing myself so just needed a time out until I got confirmation everything was ok 🌈 xx

I’ve been locked out for a while so I’m way behind. I hope everyone is doing well. Does anyone have any advice for what we can take for hay fever in pregnancy please? Really suffering this time round xx

flowergarden16 · 25/04/2022 08:18

@1stTimeTina there is one you can take but I can't remember the name, it's not the piriton one but a pharmacist can tell you, x

flowergarden16 · 25/04/2022 08:19

@SupportNeed sorry you've been through that. Everyone in this group will understand and probably shares your worries and concerns x

Cruz86 · 25/04/2022 08:28

Hi ladies, hope you're all okay and had a good weekend! It's been a busy one for me with decorating and doing jobs around the house.

@flowergarden16 @Willow11981 @sunnyd67 @scoutcat @Skl2021 so glad your scans were all okay but naughty baby for not playing ball @Skl2021 🙊🌈🥰

@Prayingformyrainbow93 I don't think you have to worry too much about GBS but it may mean that birthing plans need to change for monitoring etc. From what I've read, you may need a course of antibiotics later on in pregnancy and then as soon as labour starts, you'll need an injection to help with risk of infection. Was yours picked up in your urine?

@Stargazer89 sorry your scan didn't give you the reassurance needed. I think you can take comfort in knowing there's a heartbeat and that measurements/dates that are even be a little bit out can cause the gestation to change significantly. Have they asked you to go back? Thinking of you.

@sunnyd67 yes I'm starting to get a little uncomfortable in bed. Wondering if it's too early to buy a pregnancy pillow 😂

@aesgriff yes I've still got some that's greeny/yellow and no other symptoms! Hoping I get my results this week 🤞🏻

Welcome @SupportNeed. I don't think that anxiety ever disappears after a loss unfortunately, but we've got a great group here to help each other along. I've got my dating scan this week too so fingers crossed for us both ☺️

@1stTimeTina I had bad hayfever in my first pregnancy and think I remember being told that you can take either loratidine or cetirizine tablets!

Xx

Morning everyone! So many nerves here today- I have my viability scan tomorrow at 6 weeks with the aim of going on cyclogest after. I am so frightened there won't be a heartbeat - and we won't know if it's bad news OR if it's just a little too early and I will have another unbearable wait for a 2nd scan. My first two pregnancies, I saw a heartbeat but they measured 10 and 12 days behind what I thought. Not sure how I will cope if I get the same news again. It's not a pattern I want to see. Eeeeeeee any words of wisdom?! Just trying to do some meditation and stay zen today x x

Bridgey8 · 25/04/2022 09:35

Gahhh Mumsnet why won't you let me post!

Bridgey8 · 25/04/2022 09:36

Oooh you just did! Haha! How is everyone? Been locked out for ages!

flowergarden16 · 25/04/2022 09:44

@Tulip1112 I felt the same.

I think just let your mind consider both options. It could be the wonderful news you've been looking for. There is a small chance that it won't be so prepare yourself for that but it's not worth worrying too much until you know the facts. And you're more likely to get good news. Good luck!

Prayingformyrainbow93 · 25/04/2022 10:19

@Cruz86 Yeah the GP called to say I had GBS in my urine which the midwife sent at my booking apt! I’m sure all will be ok and like you said I think it’s just the abx now and then closer to labour. How are you?? When is your dating scan? Xx

Raindrops2015 · 25/04/2022 10:22

Hello. It's been a while since I've been on here. Good luck to everyone with their scans this week. I've my dating scan tomorrow morning. But nervous about it but the 4 scans I've already had has given me a bit more confidence.

Is anyone else showing? I'm 13 weeks now and the week before last my belly popped out and I look really pregnant. I've also put on nearly a stone. I've had very bad morning sickness so wasn't expecting to put on so much weight but I do know carbs and salt have been helping with the sickness. Still waiting on sickness and exhaustion leaving me but it's really bad this week. When did it stop for everyone else? I can't believe I was panicking cos I felt well a few weeks ago.

Srx1 · 25/04/2022 11:03

Hi @Raindrops2015 I’m 11+4 and my nausea stopped just before 10w. So I’ve been very worried since and wishing I was still nauseous although it wasn’t nice. My dating scan is in 2 weeks and I am so scared. I have my first midwife appt in a few days. My boobs are still bigger than normal but not very sore. Trying to figure out if my belly looks different, it is hard to say as I always had a tiny bit of a belly but I keep thinking I see something, not sure if it is just wishful thinking! Also I haven’t been very tired at all, the only time I felt tired is this weekend as we went on long walks with the dogs. I work from home so not sure if that helps with feeling less tired 😬

flowergarden16 · 25/04/2022 11:49

Ladies taking progesterone my prescription is for 12 weeks. Do you just stop taking it? Should it be for 16? I'm confused!

Annny27 · 25/04/2022 12:06

@flowergarden16 if you have had sny bleeding or spotting it should be taken untill 16 weeks :)

flowergarden16 · 25/04/2022 12:10

Thanks @Annny27 I'll ask for an extra month prescription

1stTimeTina · 25/04/2022 12:53

Thanks for the advice on the hay fever front , chemist wouldn’t let me buy anything, said it had to be prescribed, midwife wouldn’t advise anything and GP can’t get me a tel apt til Sunday, looked in the supermarket and everything said don’t take if pregnant so I darent risk it. So frustrating, we’re at centre parcs this week so it’s only going to get worse! X

SupportNeed · 25/04/2022 13:27

I am, more in the late afternoon/ evening - I’m not 12 weeks until tomorrow!

I got worried it may be a side effect of the Utrogestan X

SupportNeed · 25/04/2022 14:06

Skl2021 · 25/04/2022 16:47

@Cruz86 I think baby is going to be trouble going off my scans up to now 🤦 just have a feeling we won't find out what it is at the next scan either! 🤣🙈 How u feeling now any better? X

@Bridgey8 how u doing! Are you finding out what your having? Xx

Any one have any insight on the baby's heart rate and the gender link? I know it's an old wives tale just intrigued if it was correct for anyone 🙊 xx

calimc83 · 25/04/2022 17:21

@Skl2021 have u tried dangling a ring over your tummy?! I like that one...don't they say if it's like a galloping horse it's a girl? X

Skl2021 · 25/04/2022 17:25

@calimc83 haha nope I haven't tried that one yet 🤣 yes they do say that but I can't tell the difference between the horse and the train sound 🤣🙈 xx

Bridgey8 · 25/04/2022 17:25

@Skl2021 I'm ok - feel a bit in that awkward phase where my nausea has gone but still can't feel baby so I'm like - hellooo are you ok in there?! Yes deffo finding out what I'm having! How are you? So glad scan was good xx

Skl2021 · 25/04/2022 17:29

@Bridgey8 I understand that's why I had the scan I couldn't stand the wait and the worrying until 20 weeks! But we still couldn't find out what we're having 🤣🤦 I also have an anterior placenta so I'm not going to feel things as easy or early 😩 xx
