@Skl2021 I'm sure all will be ok 🥰 al your scans have been positive, it'll be fine. @arianasky I totally get that. I'm worrying about approaching the nine week mark when I lost my last pregnancy 😬..have booked a scan in for a few weeks now. Anxiety is unreal already xx

arianasky · 21/04/2022 11:21

@Annny27 same for me I was 9 weeks when baby passed but didn't find out until the scan at 12+6

@flowergarden16 ah its hard isn't it I have everything crossed for you tomorrow 💕

@Skl2021 such a tough day but I'm off today so going to go for a nice walk in the sunshine 💕

Srx1 · 21/04/2022 12:06

Hi all, I hope everyone is ok. Good luck to those having their scans tomorrow!

I also completely know how you all feel with this constant worry, especially when comparing to weeks at which mc happened or was discovered. I am now even reading about the current week I’m in but thinking, what if this doesn’t apply to me anymore.. I didn’t even download any of the tracking apps as I didn’t want to get too attached..

@disneygirl87 thanks again for telling me about your experience, it helps and I really hope it will be ok for me too!
@Cruz86 thank you, that is reassuring that your midwife said that, I did read about symptoms sometimes easing at 10 weeks but of course I always think something is wrong when it comes to me! I don’t want to be so negative..
@flowergarden16 thank you ! Trying to be calm… 😑
I agree 12-20w is such a long wait, I would also be booking a private scan in between

@mrshodgy21 so sorry to hear that… 😔

Artisticpiglet3 · 21/04/2022 12:09

Does anyone know anything about Doppler's? I have one that we had for previous children because they liked to listen, purely for fun not reassurance but as the spotting has stopped and I'm having my scan in two weeks (at 11 weeks) I got it out just to see what I could hear. I could definitely hear the placenta and heard something that sounded like baby that flashed up in the 140s but very faint. Do you reckon that sounds like baby?

Skl2021 · 21/04/2022 13:38

@calimc83 I hope so 🤞🌈 xx

@arianasky that sounds lovely ☀️ hope u feel a bit more positive 💕 xx

siobhanmt247 · 21/04/2022 13:57

Is anyone else choosing not to have an early scan? I just don't think I can face it

flowergarden16 · 21/04/2022 13:58

@Artisticpiglet3 my midwife said honestly to avoid them as they can give false positives eg you hear your own heartbeat or panic you if you can't find them. Don't think even trained midwives use them until 16 weeks. Totally understand wanting to get one though and my SIL used one

moomoose · 21/04/2022 14:00

@siobhanmt247 I don't know if I will. Last time I had to do the awful 2 week wait after the scan showed I was very behind my dates and there wasn't a heartbeat, and that was just awful. I really don't want to go through that again.

So, if I do have an early private scan it won't be v early, maybe more like 10 weeks, or 11 weeks if my 12 week scan is going to be more like a 14 week scan, if that makes sense?

Originally I thought I'd push the GP for an extra scan at around 8 weeks, but I don't really know how helpful I'd find that.

Artisticpiglet3 · 21/04/2022 14:13

@flowergarden16 I only use it for the kids to listen never for reassurance, I just gave it a go this early because when I've used them previously for the kids to listen it was much further on so was just curious what I could hear at this stage. I know not to panic if I can't hear a heartbeat this early on I'm just nosy so wondering if the 140ish BPM was possibly baby or if there's something else that can read that high x

arianasky · 21/04/2022 14:30

@Artisticpiglet3 I used one but think I'm just picking up my HB on it tbh, I got a reading of 172bpm in a certain spot but couldn't hear a faster heartbeat I won't use it again until I'm further along I found it too confusing tbh.

I'm having right sided twinges in the same spot since last night that feel like an actual pinch from inside near ovaries right side of uterus area, hoping someone else has felt similar?

mrshodgy21 · 21/04/2022 14:47

@arianasky I think that is babies heart beat I was getting over 170 when I was 10 weeks I think heartbeat slows down further you get along I use mine all time x

siobhanmt247 · 21/04/2022 14:57

That's exactly what happened to me. First scan was 7 weeks but only looked 5 and it still wasn't developed by week 9. The bleeding did start a few days later so I think I'm just going to try remain positive unless I have similar bleeding. Even the 12 week one scares me x

Stargazer89 · 21/04/2022 15:27

Hi everyone, I'm having a complete meltdown because all symptoms have gone at 7 weeks. Convinced I am going to have a 3rd miscarriage so have brought my early scan forward to tomorrow so that I can at least get in touch with doctor before weekend if it is bad news!

Pregnancy after miscarriage is so hard 💐

arianasky · 21/04/2022 15:28

@mrshodgy21 I think it was too but it was also showing a HB of 72 and a strong heartbeat so guessing that one was mine 🤷🏻‍♀️ it's too confusing for me I'll leave it to the experts I think haha!

speake1 · 21/04/2022 15:37

@siobhanmt247 i had the same experience as you with inconclusive scans, waiting etc, knowing the worst has happened but clinging on to that 1% of hope that there’s been a miraculous growth in the last week. For that reason I chose not to get an early scan (I had to go to epu for bleeding at 7 weeks however) & I won’t be having any additional scans in the pregnancy. I think it goes one way or another, you either want all the scans for reassurance or none because you’re terrified of them, definitely personal preference based on what will reassure you. I’m choosing to live in a blissfully ignorant pregnant bubble (easier said than done but I’m trying). Hopefully you can figure out what works for you xxx

speake1 · 21/04/2022 15:39

@Stargazer89 try not to panic, pregnancy symptoms do come & go so it doesn’t necessarily mean the worst. Glad you’ve managed to move your scan to tomorrow, keeping everything crossed for you 🙏🏼🤞🏼Xxx

mrshodgy21 · 21/04/2022 16:31

Had my nipt results and baby is negative for all 3 one less thing to worry about was so happy x

@arianasky yeah I notice baby moves so there for the hb drops as it's either our own or coming from plancta tbh it's been a life saver for me has really pushed my anxiety aside x

arianasky · 21/04/2022 17:02

@mrshodgy21 ah amazing news about NIPT 💕 yeah it has eased my mind too but I just think am I picking up my HB etc so think I'll ease off it for a few weeks

Cruz86 · 21/04/2022 18:13

I've got everything crossed for you @flowergarden16 🤞🏻

I'm sure the scan will be great @Skl2021 🥰 Haha that's what I'm trying to work out though, whether mine is just podge or can be classed as an actual bump 😂

Hope your little one feels better soon @calimc83 and that you've had a nice relaxing day! Sod being productive 😆

@arianasky hope you've managed to take your mind off things today 🌈

We'll definitely be having a scan at 16 weeks to find out the sex!

@Artisticpiglet3 it's funny you should ask about Dopplers! Mine was delivered today and at first I couldn't find the heartbeat - cue major panic! Then I tried again and it was between 165 and 170. I think 140 would be way to high for your own so I'd say that's baby!

Good luck with your scan tomorrow @Stargazer89!

Xx
