Yes I hear you. I’m 10 weeks now and still feel dreadful. Ginger snaps are suppose to help but they didn’t help me and believe me they are not nice coming back up. Watermelon was very nice Iv ate a lot of that.

Hboss · 11/03/2022 11:22

Il give anything a try lol everyone says gey to 12 and you will feel great!! I got everything crossed

@Hboss I’m 12 weeks pregnant with my first. I felt sick all the time, probably until about a week ago. I’m still sick in the morning and evening however.
I got some of those travel bands from Amazon, and I did get some relief wearing them.
Ginger biscuits, peppermint tea and bland crackers did nothing for me.
I keep being told it gets better, I’m just waiting for that day haha!
Congratulations!

Hboss · 11/03/2022 16:24

Congratulations 🤞 you get the 12 week glow and energy now, my friend said she just woke up and felt great. Yes I got some bands today they seem to help a bit also orengina randomly , it's so hard to hide from people when your heaving constantly or bloody burping lol

Feel your pain! Felt like I was dying between about 6-13 weeks!

Fresh cold foods helped, if it gets too bad please speak to your GP, I wish I had and not just suffered all that time!

16 weeks now and feeling much much better - just the odd bit of sickness and food aversions.

CurbsideProphet · 12/03/2022 11:44

I can eat certain foods - toast, cheese, pasta, crisps. Drinking is so difficult due to the horrible taste in my mouth. Water is now a no. I had 3 days on Fanta lemon. I'm ringing my GP on Tuesday for a different antisickness drug to see if that helps me drink.

I have a pocket of boiled sweets when I go out as I've got the fear of being sick randomly 😬

Hboss · 12/03/2022 11:52

The sickness bands have worked a little, try aldi version of lit that seems to work atm for me, brown toast and maltrasers randomly lol. It's not nice atall constantly heaving where ever I go lol.

@Hboss you poor thing! I went through 2 weeks of heaving / vomiting any time 11am-3pm. That's stopped for now. Luckily I've been signed off work and I'm just pottering around the house. I think I feel more sick when I go out as I get panicky about being sick in public.

I've got maltesers in the fridge so I've obviously got an excuse to try them now 😀 Mr Kipling viennese whirls are going down very nicely. I've had to just focus on eating and not worry too much about calories etc.

OverTheRainbow18 · 12/03/2022 12:08

Dry spicy food helped me, things like spicy crisps! Hope it passes soon for you

Hboss · 12/03/2022 12:08

Bloody horrible isn't it.

My random retching started again this afternoon 😩
I've been through IVF to get here so I feel like I should be happy and grateful 24/7, but this retching is just vile 😩

yorkshireteaspoonie · 12/03/2022 17:29

Yep it's grim. Mine started to ease about 14 weeks but has returned every so often randomly but heartburn and constipation took over when the sickness lifted.

I felt like I was constantly on a boat. Travel bands helped me a bit, Eating brown toast as soon as you get up (get used to eating the fibre now to help with the constipation further down the line) I couldn't drink tea or coffee for 3 months either (dry heave 🤢) peppermint tea and ginger tea or biscuits did help a little

yorkshireteaspoonie · 12/03/2022 17:31

@CurbsideProphet same. I felt terribly guilty for hating every second of the first trimester but you're deffo allowed to feel sorry for yourself no matter how much work it took to get there - it's grim!

Hboss · 12/03/2022 17:31

The joys of what we have to look forward to lol

I know people get constipation 1st off but anyone gone the other way like me 😫

OP posts:
CurbsideProphet · 15/03/2022 13:00

Yes me @Hboss 🙋🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Hboss · 15/03/2022 13:16

Omg it's like one thing after another isn't it, if your not burping and dry wreching everywhere your worried you'll shit yourself lol.

OP posts:
CurbsideProphet · 15/03/2022 14:06

That's partly why I'm too anxious to leave the house 😩

Hboss · 15/03/2022 14:23

Which makes you feel worse, I hope you feel better soon.

31 weeks. Still feel rank. Lying on the sofa thinking about the new level of rank I'll be in once baby is here and I'm a whole new type of mess.

I do envy those who make pregnancy look so beautiful 😄

Hboss · 15/03/2022 15:33

Oh no you poor thing.

OP posts:
Rachelw730 · 15/03/2022 20:30

@Hboss yes! Me! I read everywhere that constipation is common, but not for me, total opposite.

CurbsideProphet · 17/03/2022 21:54

I know what you mean @Rachelw730 everything says to expect constipation so it's very confusing.
My actually being sick went away for a while, but tonight it came back. WTF is it called "morning" sickness 😬
I asked the baby to give me a sign everything is ok, so clearly this is my sign 😬

Hboss · 17/03/2022 22:03

Oh noo that's not good, iv found eating every 2hrs is helping and yes constipation 0 shits 1

Blackmagicqueen · 17/03/2022 22:06
