I had so much to catch up on! Brace yourselves, it's a long one 😂

@BellatrixK hurray for the 3+! Omg the wind! I feel like no one really warms you about the wind before getting pregnant 😂 trapped wind and heartburn has definitely been a thing for me too

@Minster2012 omg I think I would've smothered your bil with a pillow nevermind just hitting him with it! Are you feeling a bit more caught up on sleep now?

@paintfairy I'm quite excited to not have an internal scan 😂 definitely worried about the pee situation now though! I haven't told DH because it'd freak him out, but I have started googling nurseries in the area now to see what they're like 😂 loving all these secondhand bargains you've been finding! Urgh 2 hours at the hospital? Not fun. Feels like you've been waiting ages for your MatB1 form - glad you've finally got it!

DKDK123 your DS is so cute - he's going to be the best big brother

@larrythelizard aww it's lovely that your DH was so excited - how do you feel now that others know? Also how did your DH accidentally wee on your DS?! 🤣

@Vil10 aww that sucks about the furniture, here's hoping your find an even better set soon!

@Kate105 glad you had a good weekend!

@bez91 that nursery sounds horrifying 🙈 can't believe some arsehole scratched up your car! What's wrong with people?

@Franklydear limbo is the worst, waiting is always so hard. Hope you have a great weekend in London!

@kaysld you look lovely! Glad you made it through the night shifts ok

Loving all the BF and FF chat, realised I'd made it as far as thinking I wanted to try breastfeeding but no further - I didn't know breastfeeding had accessories! 🙈 A lunchtime bottle feed though is a genius idea!!

I am feeling like a nauseated blob these days. I start off nauseated because I'm hungry and then I'm nauseated because I've eaten and that just goes on repeat all day. Definitely feeling like I need to get more active. Still waiting on the midwives to call and book me in but tbh I'm not surprised I haven't heard anything yet.

kaylsd · 22/03/2022 21:39

@Minster2012 I'm gutted for you about the screws would replacement screws for newer models of the same brand be able to fit your cot? I wonder if there's a specific cut off where you think hmmm I don't think I should attempt wearing this, maybe it's when we do Rihanna type style squeezing in coats what bust open but fashionable with the bump out 🤣🤣🤣🤰
@InkyPaper thank you darling I hope you are well! It sounds like a vicious circle with your nausea have you tried all the ginger remedies to help? Let's hope it buggers off soon!

paintfairy · 22/03/2022 21:59

@Minster2012 obviously she wasn't looking for my cervix for 2 hours. I know its the black hole, but.... 🤭 My actual appointment was probably like 15 minutes. The screw situation would really annoy me. I hate it when you know you must have something but no idea where. Snoring? I'm not sure I've got that far but I've definitely felt more snuffly and had a runny nose on and off. But it's not a cold. Annoying. I've also borderline got cramp in my feet a couple of times! And I did wonder if you needed to sterilise things other than bottles.
@BellatrixK I think they've given up with me. She's basically written in my book I'm ignoring her advice and the world might end, but it's my own fault. 🙄 And trapped wind feels like, well, trapped wind? Really uncomfortable! And like you want to stick a pin in yourself! It really isn't great.
@kaylsd I honestly don't know how you are managing to do nights. I'm like a sloth. And tops are ok but trousers were a struggle from the beginning for me. If you aren't huge then emilee jeggings (normal ones) are great as they are just elasticated. Now I can't fit in those (maybe could get a bigger size) so I've got maternity jeans but they do fall down. 🙄
@Franklydear have a great weekend in London!
@InkyPaper yep, the digestive stuff is a killer! If I got remotely hungry I felt awful! And then everything I ate hated me. It settled right down though about week 10. But then it came back about week 19. 🙄 Only now i can at least least taste things. Literally I've bought nearly everything second hand, and some is nearly new. Did you self refer to the midwife? I rang about week 5 and had my booking appointment at week 9 (the letter came about 2 weeks before though). At that one you tell them which hospital you pick, and that then gets referred and triggers your 12 week scan appointment.

Baby has been moving about again tonight and DH could feel. Its so bizarre! I wonder if you ever get used to it!

InkyPaper · 22/03/2022 22:18

@kaylsd I have but it's not eased it 🙈 my mum says she was the same when pregnant and my Grandma said she was too, so I guess I'm just following in family footsteps!

@paintfairy oh it'd be magic if the nausea buggers off for me in week 10! I'd only have a week and a bit to wait 😂 No, I didn't self refer, I rang my GP told them I was pregnant and asked what to do next. The receptionist seemed quite excited for me, which was lovely, and she had to ask me a few questions to fill in this form that they would send to the midwives. I was told that the midwives would be in touch with me. I only rang up last Thursday though - I was too scared to ring up before the scan in case it all went wrong 🙈

larrythelizard · 23/03/2022 07:57

Oh sorry I left you all hanging a bit there, should have known a wee story would excite you all!

DH was having a wee in the downstairs loo - DS had not all that long learned to walk and open doors that hadn't been closed properly. He was quite intrigued as to what was going on, went round one side of DH, DH sort of blocked him with his knee, DS went round the other side, DH blocked him with his other knee so he had a slightly wider stance than normal. DS then popped his head between DH's legs to see what was happening and then got weed on, first I knew was an anguished shout for help from DH!

@InkyPaper hopefully MW will be back to you soon with booking in appt etc. First trimester in particular is brutal - I wouldn't worry about how active you're being, just do what your body needs.

It gets weirder as they get bigger @paintfairy! That's good you've got your Mat1b, will you give it to work this week? Also means you should get your exemption card through for dentists and prescriptions

30w is pretty impressive though @Minster2012 to be in your normal clothes! I bet you've put the screws in a 'useful' place. Any boxes that aren't unpacked yet? Or did you dismantle the cot once you moved?

Sounds a lovely weekend @Franklydear - what's on the agenda?

bez91 · 23/03/2022 08:00

@larrythelizard that's good on the holidays! I can carry a week over which I am doing but HR said no to anymore. It would have been nice to have a week or 2 before mat leave so I could finish at 36/37 weeks but they were adamant no 🤦🏼‍♀️ wow the story of DH weeing on DS - fantastic 😂😂

@Kate105 I'm annoyed as it's the first nice car I've had 😂 although I think once I'm back and work and paying full nursery fees it'll be going. That's good advice on the one bottle a day! I really want to for longer than last time this time but I don't want to be in a position where I'm returning to work and baby wouldn't take a bottle, I know a few ladies who have had that problem, as if returning to work isn't anxiety inducing already during Mat leave. It's nice to have the option. Wee'd on twice by 09:45!? I hope your Tuesday improved!

Good news on the cervix @paintfairy but equally frustrating you need to go back again! Have they said why?

@feliznavidad2 fingers crossed you stay negative! Yes it's starting to feel quite real this end. You're not too far off the top of the list either!

@Minster2012 I'm just making stuff that can be knocked up easily with carbs like mash, pasta, rice etc so I’ve got a beef casserole. Going to try and get bits today for a chicken and bean chilli, sausage ragu and just make some pasta sauce to freeze. Might do some other bits at a later date. It was a lifesaver last time but I didn’t go for enough variety so we ate enchiladas forever last time and they didn’t freeze great 😆 if all else fails with the wardrobe you could use superglue? 🙈

@kaylsd gorgeous bump you've got going on 😍 definitely consider scaling down on the night shifts if you're struggling. I'd struggle not being pregnant!

@Franklydear what a mind f*ck! Hopefully CM will reveal some clues shortly!

@BellatrixK oh wow what are the chances of him being behind you in the pharmacy!? Do you think he heard?

Trying to get more ticked off that to do list today. DD has her 12 month post heart op app today (well it was 18 months ago) DH taking her in as I've done them all before whilst I wait in the car as it's still 1 parent only 😭 grrrrr!

Minster2012 · 23/03/2022 08:26

LOVING THE WEE STORY @larrythelizard that's hilarious! Poor DH! No boxes we haven't unpacked except one "utility room box" but there's a lot of stuff still in the shed (many baby things like stair gates), we dismantled it before we moved as we already had the new house & had got X a temporary toddler bed in there so we took it down then put straight in the shed. I'm going to take EVERYTHING out of the shed today to see what's there as it makes sense it's there. Unfortunately newer ones don't fit @kaylsd that's what I bought and turned up yesterday.

@kaylsd I did the "my coat won't do up to the boobs" look until Jan then bought a mat coat with a baby wearing panel for the future, I'm pleased I did!

@InkyPaper it seems you are destined for nasty wind then, urgh! Hopefully it will stop when you stop the progesterone, are you still on it? I'm caught on on sleep thankfully

@paintfairy yeah I often snore atm it seems cos literally every night as soon as I go into bed my nose blocks up so I literally have to hang my mouth open to breathe 😬not a sexy look (though doesn't stop DH!)

Thanks @bez91 I shall do some things like that & consult the trusty Mary berry bible. Still only one parent in that's crackers

Growth scan for me this afternoon then rush back to take dog to groomers. And take all out of shed after dog walk 😂

InkyPaper · 23/03/2022 08:48

@larrythelizard 🤣🤣🤣 your poor DH, that does sound hilarious though, I wouldn't have been able to stop laughing if I came down to find that 🤣🤣🤣 I feel like people have spent my whole life telling me to diet and exercise, so to be getting told the opposite now is a very weird feeling! You're right though, I don't really have the energy to exercise, I'm just feeling guilty for not doing much.

@bez91 ooh I didn't think of casserole as a batch cook option! I usually batch cook lasagne, cottage pies, spag bol mince, that kinda thing, they freeze quite well. Hope your DD's appt goes well today!

@Minster2012 yeah, I think genetics may have screwed me over a bit. Mind you they both had easy pregnancies (aside from the heartburn) and straightforward labours, so I'll be happy if I take after them 😄 I'm still on the progesterone - the clinic said I could stop it dead or taper it off and tapering it off seemed like a much better option! Like going from 3 pessaries a day to nothing at all seemed crazy. Hope your scan goes well later!

Kate105 · 23/03/2022 09:32

Ahahahaha thank you @larrythelizard that was an excellent story 😂

Yes @Minster2012 I'm with @bez91 - loads of casseroles and different pasta sauces are easy to sort out a carb with. I filled our freezer because I was so bored being overdue that I just kept cooking... didn't have to make anything until PTSD was about 8 weeks! Curry is a good one too and you can do various different ones to spice it up a bit LOL 😆

Well. I'm mildly ashamed to say I've embraced my inner earth mother a bit. Weaning poos are not so fun in a cloth nappy so I am trying this thing called EC (elimination communication) where you offer the potty fairly regularly and get them to shit there instead of the nappy. Idea is that they learn to hold on pretty quickly. I have a friend of a friend who did it and swears she didn't have any poos in the nappy after 8 months... I'll admit I was highly sceptical (and you should've seen H's face when I told him 😂) but I think it might be working?! He did 3 poos in the potty today and he's done one in it today?! And no nappy poos for 2 days?! HOLY SHIT 😂🙈

If you Google EC it does sound a bit culty but I'm not doing the full shebang, just launching PTSD onto the potty when he starts to do his poo face 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Vil10 · 23/03/2022 09:50

@larrythelizard jealous of the boob growth, mine have only grown a tiny bit! You're definitely right, only a few months of wearing different clothes!

@Minster2012 we'll probably do that with these drawers too as they have a changeable top! Hahahaa that's so true!! Baggy stuff just makes you feel and look huge doesn't it, but tighter stuff might not be that comfortable! I love Zara anyway so might have to look but sometimes find the dresses are too short on me!

@2020mission I've been giving loads of recommendations and majority of people said the medala one so I think eventually that's the one I'll go for! Thankyou for all the advice I really appreciate it!! I do have a plan in my head but we all know nothing ever goes to plan and I'm not setting my heart on it because I know how hard BF can be and I might not be able to, but ideally I want to exclusively BF for 6 weeks then introduce an expressed bottle so I can have a break and OH can be involved too, and like you I want to make sure I have a few bags in the fridge just in case! Also been thrown a curveball as we have our friends wedding in October and it's a staying overnight job, baby will be around 2 months old so I'm not sure what to do, hopefully baby will be taking expressed bottles so maybe the baby is with us during the day then when it gets to the night do it might have to be a case of my mum picking baby up and then having their first sleepover and I'll just express a lot so they have their bottles through the night, not sure how I'll feel about leaving my 2 month old overnight but I'll see how I feel nearer the time!

@Minster2012 those changing bags look gorgeous!! Thankyou I'll have a browse! My friends got me a beautiful hospital bag for my birthday and it made me cry😂

@2020mission @Kate105 yess I've been looking at the MAM bottles and didnt know whether to just buy them so I had them in just in case! Good idea on the saving counter space! One of my friends said she got a steriliser for her breast pump? But I think I'll leave the steriliser and prep machine until after I've had the baby and see how we go, and just get some powder formula and MAM bottles just in case!

@Kate105 I think I'm going to go for the same routine as you and try and BF for 6 weeks then introduce a bottle! So I've heard of the haakaa but is it basically something to catch excess milk?

@bez91 ohh that's good!! I was looking at the elvie pumps at first but they're extortionate aren't they!! I'll definitely be relying on Amazon prime way too much!! Oh that nursery doesn't seem ideal, especially only being split up by a baby gate, that's crazy!! I've been looking at local nurseries online these last few days and have 2 or 3 I want more info on and to look round eventually!

@Franklydear hahahaha imagine me getting round Lancashire in those outfits, I'd definitely look like a 🍆 any news on your situation? Sorry if I've missed it! Enjoy london!!

@paintfairy Thats definitely a reasonable price, I've seen some people selling them for way too much and they're not even in good condition!! I mainly feel baby movements on my right side and always quite low down but at my 20 week scan baby nestled into my pelvis once I'd had a wee and the woman said it must be their comfortable place so maybe that's why o always feel movements low down! Hope the consultant appointment went well! You've also just reminded me about my whooping cough vaccine I need to book that in, might do it for around 23 weeks, I'm 21 now

@kaylsd you look lovely!! And nice of your manager to say you can drop nights if they're Too much!! Glad you had a nice afternoon tea, it looked delicious!!

@Minster2012 oh god how annoying on the screws!! That would really piss me off😩

@InkyPaper how're you feeling after your first scan lovely?? Luckily I only had a couple days of nausea but found ginger biscuits worked well!!

When did everyone or when is everyone getting their MATB1 form? Do I ask next week when I go for the re scan or shall I wait until my next midwife appointment? Also had to ring the GP to get a fit to fly certificate for when we go away in may, I was going to ask my midwife at my next app which is 3 weeks before we go away but my friends midwife took 4 weeks to get her letter for her so I didn't want to risk leaving it too late!
I had a right mare yesterday, hadn't felt baby move all day and I got really worried so told myself if I hadn't felt them when in bed (baby is more active when I'm led down in bed) then I'd ring today (also another annoying thing I have no way of contacting my midwife, I've seen 2 different ones and been given no contact numbers for either) so got a fizzy drink last night and led on my side, from 10-11:30 this baby was having a right dance😂 definitely made me feel better, but I can't see OH being able to feel baby by the time im 22/23 weeks? The movements still feel so so subtle, I spoke to my friend and she said her OH didn't feel baby until she was 27/28 weeks so that's made me feel better!

Wow that was a mammoth catch up!!!

bez91 · 23/03/2022 10:31

@Minster2012 all the best for the growth scan, really hope you find the screws. There's nothing more annoying when you know you've not lost them!

@InkyPaper thankyou! Lasagne is a good idea too, it'll be May/June we're eating them so if the weather is nice casserole might be a bit heavy 🤦🏼‍♀️

Oooh yes @Kate105 currys next on my list! That's interesting on the potty earth mama 😆 I never believed it before!

@Vil10 it's good to have a plan I think but also even better to not be too tired to it. What will be will be 🤟🏼 I think I got my MATB1 at 22 weeks from a midwife at the hospital, I think it depends if you also see a midwife as part of your hosp appointments or not. As long as you can feel them that's the main thing! My DH didn't feel movements for a while, I felt them from so early but they would stop every time I would say quick quick they're moving 😆. I would say it wasn't until about 27/28 weeks too that he could consistently feel them then at the weekend I was stood up in the kitchen talking to him and he was across the other side of the room and he could see them moving from side to side from there 🤷‍♀️

Minster2012 · 23/03/2022 10:49

OMG i could cry with relief I've found them after taking most things out 😂thank f*ck just sat there inconspicuously on the LAST piece of wardrobe (which we can't fit into the room so not using yet)

Minsters Side Car - Thread 7 - annoying neighbours, second hand bargains and how many sleep suits should we buy again?!
paintfairy · 23/03/2022 11:19

@InkyPaper ah, yes if you only just rang that's why. I felt weird ringing so early but I wanted to make sure i got my 12 week scan on time, so I just did it at 5 weeks.
@larrythelizard 🤣🤣🤣 Poor DS. But he'll know not to stick his head there again! My dentist/prescription form was triggered by my booking appointment, so I've had that ages? I just need to copy the mat b1 form and then yeah, I might as well send it to my boss. He knows anyway.
@bez91 just to measure my cervix again I think? Seems overkill but who am I to argue. Wouldn't mind so much if you could park and weren't there 3 bloody hours. Crap about the leave, can they do that? I thought they had to let you carry it over?
@Minster2012 🥳 And if I sleep with my mouth open, it gets dry and then really annoys me. I hate having to do it with a cold or anything.
@Vil10 there's signs up in my hospital saying you can get your mat b1 from your 20 week scan. I did ask after mine but I was only technically 19+5 so they couldn't give it to me. I asked at reception after my appointment the other day and she just got one of the midwives to do it. But you can maybe ask your local one?
And I didn't think DH would feel my baby move yet, but some are strong now and it kind of came from nowhere? Last night there was lots going on and even all night. To the point it was annoying. 🤣 So you might be surprised.

BellatrixK · 23/03/2022 11:23

@larrythelizard not going to lie, I was checking in for the wee story. It did not disappoint! I don’t think he heard, but he’ll definitely have sussed that something is up.

@kaylsd you look gorgeous. So glam! Definitely drop down nights if you can.

@Minster2012 these screws are such a stress. Hopefully at least you’ll find them in the shed? Just read the update, thank goodness!

@Kate105 I mean, I know I had a strong stance against Earth mothers yesterday, but if it saves on changing poo nappies, I’m happy to 180!

@Vil10 I agree- Lancashire is not ready for that level of maternity clothing! So glad that you felt your baby move. I’m so hoping to get to that stage, but I can understand how stressful it would be if it stopped.

Nothing at all new from me. I’m supposed to marking mock papers, but procrastinating! Still have a slight twinge when I stand up, but eased a lot from yesterday. Just hoping it’s trapped wind (which I never thought I’d hope for!).

Thank you for all of the reassurance though ladies 💕

kaylsd · 23/03/2022 15:27

@franklydear enjoy London this weekend :)
@paintfairy will look into those leggings, it’s all I’m living in at the moment as they have a lot of stretchy give but my jeans were prob occluding cutting off after about 14/15 week 🙈 lovely to hear about little bub moving around I don’t think it’ll be ever something you’ll get used to nor forget either :’)
@inkypaper ah the joys of things being passed down 🤣🙈
@bez91 thank you sweetie so kind of you to say 😍 I’ve got some more next weekend so if I struggle off them I’ll just ask to be pulled off the rest I think 🙈 it’s the lack of sleep what gets me I don’t know how I function because usually coffee helps but that’s restricted!
@minster2012 hopefully they pop up in your spring clean clear out fingers and toes crossed! The mat coat and panel sounds a wise investment, on my last night shift I bust my coat zip but also had my fleece inside out as I was half asleep putting them on 🙃🤣
@larrythelizard that’s so funny with your DH 🤣😩😩😩

First bbq of 2022 today, any excuse since I’ve got 3 13 hour shifts to smash through from tomorrow 🙈

Minster2012 · 23/03/2022 16:09

Well my growth scan was all good, she's levelled off a bit percentile wise & now around 89% instead of 97! Weight is over 4lb so that's crazy! Like an actual baby 🤪she was awkward though. Again, she had her knee tucked into her chest so they couldn't get the belly measurement so I got sent for a walk & a choc bar & jiggle & she moved a bit but obviously loved that knee up as was still there. Consultant app next week then another scan in 3 weeks! I'm seeing my friend tomorrow (& X's best friends mum) who is having c section on Monday for their baby girl. Exciting!!

So catching up with coffee before going to get the dog back from groomers 😜

@InkyPaper yes I think if you have a smooth pregnancy & Labour then you'll take it! Def wean off the progesterone, I think we all did who were on it

@Kate105 so you are a witch then?! No actually I've heard of this baby on potty thing, friends brother did it for their 2, they swore by it. I do wonder why no one else they knew then took up this revolutionary potty training baby technique if it's so amazing 🤔I'm liking the idea of filling freezer with stuff but lots of things that can be batch cooked & frozen seem like winter food. Hmmm I will do some I think then try whinge at my family to bring us prepped food (didn't happen last time 😂)

@Vil10 you don't have a number to ring?? That's bizarre. Yeah DH didn't feel movements here til gone 26 weeks (probs cos he's impatient) and I wasn't regular movements til around 28 weeks. Have a look at sets like mine the mamas & papas ocean range on eBay there's a few, might be a bit "old school" for you though. You might be told to bring some ready made formula in the bottles with teats on (aptimil) for the birth, our hospital doesn't let you use powder as a back up it has big signs saying get a pack of those bottles for birth. For the wedding would you not just take baby with you? Babies can sleep anywhere, it's normal to see them at night do's in prams snoozing

I was just thinking about a bbq @kaylsd it's so lovely here today I've ordered my sun cream whilst waiting for scan (I have vitiligo as a result of my chemo so wear it loads & get new ones each year) so that's a job done. Def ask to stop nights soon

@BellatrixK procrastination is the way forwards! I believe this is your time 😊

What is a hakka?? I thought it was what the all blacks did before a rugby match 🤔

2020mission · 23/03/2022 17:26

@Minster2012 interesting you recommended bringing formula to the birth. The hospital I was in just kept handing them out to us as needed. I didn't bring any as wasn't told to and I was planning to breast feed instead but as my milk was slow to start I had to top up with formula so they just offered me some whenever I needed it. They had all the brands too so I just picked one. I likely would have brought some ready bottles of them if I had planned to formula feed from the get go though!

Minster2012 · 23/03/2022 17:35

Yeah it's weird isn't it @2020mission, it was a question on the Facebook group I'm on, and lots of ppl said the same as me that they've been advised no matter what they want to feed to bring a set of the ready made ones just in case as the wards don't have them & no facilities for powder. Whereas others have said they've asked & been told they can be given formula if needed, so I guess it's another trust by trust thing

Kate105 · 23/03/2022 17:59

So @Vil10 @Minster2012 the haakaa is a suction cup which you literally stick onto your other boob and it catches the letdown from the boob not currently occupied 😂 would highly recommend, it has many uses. I actually got it because I was over producing milk to start with and I would use it to get the worst of it off before PTSD went onto the boob. Now I use it to get my daily bottle of freedom 😂 www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjZx_es59z2AhXlQkEAHbWGCBoQFnoECA8QAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.co.uk%2FHaakaa-Manual-Silicone-Breastpump-Breastfeeding%2Fdp%2FB01F8W7CF0&usg=AOvVaw2l29wwp-TkTmMt7yVwvaJq

After being smug earth mother yesterday the universe has punished me with a really gigantic poo explosion while we were out and about today 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 but I did catch a little one this morning so I guess you win some you lose some...

Franklydear · 23/03/2022 18:08

@larrythelizard London Zoo and Kew gardens, hotel in London
@Vil10 no , still in limbo having very sore boobs today and a funny tummy, some twinges down there too, just losing the plot really ....I'll be drinking on the weekend, can't make it worst and, you can pull off Rihanna looks

Mum and dad in law have covid, both elderly and with various conditions, fully vaccinated thankfully, I don't know any more yet but we are flying home in two weeks, I advised bossboy that if anything happens I'll send him a text from the airport but he's on alert that I might desapear yesterday

InkyPaper · 23/03/2022 18:17

@Kate105 oooh that sounds like almost too good be true genius level idea! You'll have to let us know if it helps potty train PTSD faster when the time comes

@Vil10 I thought I'd be super anxious still but I'm remarkably zen about it all. Now we've seen the heartbeat I'm just telling myself that it's there until proven otherwise. Ginger biscuits didn't really do anything for me, which was annoying, but I think I just take after the other women in my family 😂

@Minster2012 wooooooooooooooop!! 🙌🙌🙌 I don't think I've ever been so happy for someone to find screws before 😂 I'm glad your scan went well!

@paintfairy so the doctors actually rang me today going "we're just processing your form ready to send to the midwives and we wanted to offer you a flu jab!" I rang last week, so I was more than a little peeved they hadn't sent it off yet, but it can't be helped. Upshot is I've now had my flu jab but the form is only just on its way to the midwives 🤣🙈

@Franklydear keeping everything crossed that any symptoms your parents have stay really mild - hope they feel better soon

@bez91 definitely! I'm a really organised person so like you have a plan in place but also telling myself it's okay if nothing goes to plan! I'm back for a scan next Tuesday when I'll be 22 weeks so I'll ask them then! Oh good that's made me feel better, I just couldn't imagine them getting thst much strong in a couple of weeks time but I suppose it is a miracle so anything could happen! Wow that's crazy!!

@Minster2012 yasssss to finding the screws!!

@paintfairy oooo okay! I'll ask next Tuesday after my scan and see what they say! I hope I am surprised and he can feel them earlier but I'll also not worry if he can't

@BellatrixK hahaha imagine😂how're you feeling with it all? Are you believing it yet? Don't worry about the twinges I had them and cramps quite a bit at first and these lovely ladies reassured me it was just things pulling and stretching!

@kaylsd I literally said earlier I can't wait for my first bbq in the garden!!

@Minster2012 glad your growth scan went well!! Slightly jealous you get to see baby so much, isn't it crazy that normally you'd just get your 12 and 20 week scans!! I thought it was bizarre not having a number for my midwife too? I thought that's what they were there for, I'm going to ask on Tuesday! Well I already have the cot so I need the matching set really😩 hoping something will come up, even though I do have a while yet! Ooo really?? I'll have to check with the hospital on the bottle/formula situation! I'm not sure really, with us staying over and it being the first night I'd be drinking, I'd feel like I couldn't really have fun because I'd constantly be watching over baby, and would be too nervous in drinking when BF all night and then would be worried about being tipsy when caring for baby throughout the night, but I suppose I'll see when it gets nearer to the time! It's a little like the wedding abroad next year when baby will be 1, Turkey in august so it'll be HOT but we're taking baby with us, it'll be a nice family holiday and everyone else is taking their children (albeit they're all older children) but it's not like nobody takes their 1 year olds to hot countries, I'll just be overly prepared😂

@Kate105 Thankyou for explaining!! (Adds haakaa to list)

@Franklydear hmm very strange!! And no af?? You deserve a drink!! Hope the in laws are okay!

Franklydear · 23/03/2022 18:22

@InkyPaper dad had a cold for a few days so hopefully okish, but mum was quite ill today and taken to the gp today and then tested, no home testing in Spain, we'll get more info from brothers soon

Franklydear · 23/03/2022 18:38

@Vil10 no af, just a bit of intermittent spotting most days for a week 🤷 the hotel has a pool so I'll shop DH and ds for a couple of hours, and take roomservice

Anyone buying a haakaa can I please suggest you buy one with the lid or buy a flower stopper at least... the amount of spillages I've had when I sat mines down after a feed 😅 That term don't cry over spilled milk really hits home when your liquid gold is lost!
